Outstanding from the start of my stay to the finish. Clean hotel that smelled outstanding and the room was the perfect mix of old world charm and modern cleanliness. The woman at the desk in the lobby made great suggestions for dinner and breakfast, and the parking lot was super close and felt safe. Close of course to canal street and all of the French quarter bars and restaurants. I'll be staying here again

We had a fine time here. It wasn't my favorite hotel but I think the experience could be improved! We had 4 college friends in one room so we wanted queen sized beds. When we got in, they looked very small for queens but the front desk assured us they were. I'm still not positive but we slept most comfortably. The real downside was we were placed next to the elevator and heard it going up and down at all hours of the night. It was veryyyyy loud. By day 3 we had mostly tuned it out but once it woke you up, you stayed up. I wish we had asked to move but that's on us! Overall it's a very odd design layout with thin walls but it is such a great spot in the French quarter! It was so easy to walk to anything we wanted to do. So I'd consider restaying (but away from the elevator!)

Booked 4 nights, and overall had a pleasant experience with La Galerie, with some minor issues. First off, the location is perfect within the French Quarter, nestled outside of bustling Bourbon Street. Most things were within walking distance and a car isn't needed unless you're venturing outside the French Quarter. The room had a modern & clean feel, and it also contained a fridge and microwave. Beds were plump enough, with plenty of pillows, and didn't hurt my back. They also provide additional pillows and blankets stored in the closet. Only thing was that it could get noisy from the street, which can't be helped. Rowdy tourists, garbage trucks, or construction can get loud. However, this location would probably still serve better than most as it is still far away enough from Bourbon. For those easily spooked, there were also some odd noises, such as continuous footsteps at late hours and what sounds like furniture moving around and hitting the walls, and I couldn't decipher if it was noisy hotel guests or potential restless spirits, as all old buildings could have in the French Quarter. We also had some trouble opening the door a few times, and the refrigerator noise randomly turned on at various volumes. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for prime location, affordable rates, and cleanliness/modernity of the rooms. I would just keep in mind the occasional street noise, and also random indoor noises if one is jumpy about those things.

I really enjoyed my stay at La Galerie--it has so much personality compared to the big-name chains like Hilton or Marriott. Location and Vibe: The hotel is quaint, charming, and in a fantastic location. It's within a reasonable walking distance to the French Quarter, Riverwalk, and Convention Center, yet far enough away that the noise from Bourbon Street doesn't seep in. Service: The staff at the front desk were always kind and welcoming when we passed by. A nice touch was the complimentary water and coffee in the lobby. Housekeeping only came every other day, but if I left my trash outside of my door, they would come pick it up and place the trashcan back inside my room, which was nice and really all I needed. The restaurant: A major highlight was Coterie, the restaurant attached to the hotel. For a hotel restaurant, it was very good! The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and far exceeded the expectations of your typical "convenient but forgettable" hotel dining experience. Definitely worth stopping by even if you're not staying at the hotel. The rooms: The rooms themselves were very spacious with high ceilings, blending modern comfort with old-world charm, thanks to the exposed brick details. The TV had a good selection of channels, and the in-room fridge and microwave were convenient additions. The bathroom was also nice, though the only missing amenity was conditioner--something to keep in mind for those with long hair. My only real complaint is the hardwood/vinyl flooring. While it looks beautiful and adds to the upscale feel of the room, it also means that sound travels very easily. As someone staying on the third floor with a guest above me on the 4th floor, I could hear everything from the room above at all hours. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, as the price, charm, and location outweighed this issue, but it's something to consider if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, I would still highly recommend this hotel for its character, comfort, prime location, and the added bonus of having a great restaurant on-site!

Booked 7 night stay. On day 4 there was no hot water for the entire hotel. Did anyone work into the evening or night to restore hot water for their guests? No. That night, woke up to a bed bug biting me. Took video. Captured it. Packed up and headed to the front desk with it. They did not appear surprised. Checked out at 4AM and headed down the street with my luggage to another hotel. Worst hotel stay ever.

Not my favorite stay If I had to do it over again, I would not choose this hotel and I would not choose this location. The positives: This hotel was clean and its staff friendly. It was also a quiet stay as far as guests go. I never heard noise from a single surrounding room. The rooms were also decorated nicely. Loved the wood floors and all of the decorative trim. It has a lot of charm. The negatives: The beds were so uncomfortable. The mattresses too firm and the pillows overstuffed. Every morning, my ribs hurt from the bed and my neck hurt from the pillows. I was ready to go find a store that sold pillows and buy one even if I had to leave it behind. I should have. Maybe I'd have slept better. It's also surrounded by douche bar after douche bar. No way would I ever stay so close to the French Quarter again. If I were younger or into that scene, I might have liked it. But I've graduated from that. It didn't feel all that safe walking around the hotel at night and I don't scare easily. Everybody was drunk or high. Or both. I'm sure I was on high alert because in two days' time, someone offered my underage daughter pot and then a grown ass man followed her, telling her she was "fine" when she's very obviously a kid. No bueno. My 3-star review is really about the beds more than anything. I wouldn't rate it low because I didn't love the French Quarter at night. But that said, if you have kids, this might not be the best area to stay.

I'm saying "good" I gave this hotel an 8 of 10 on Booking.com. I booked a Jr suite and it was plenty spacious, day bed, desk, double bed....it was a bit dark because the only windows were in the bedroom. The staff was fairly uninterested - didn't seem to really want to be there - not unfriendly just not the hospitality you might expect from a 4 star hotel in NOLA. As an example- I requested late checkout....they gave me noon (instead of 11) and at 11:15 my key cards were already turned off??? My room was by the elevator and the elevator had an annoying chime that sounded constantly and I could hear it in my room at all hours. The chime is not needed but I'd request a room away from it if possible. But, the location was great, the bed was fairly comfortable, and the rate was fair. I'm not sure if I would stay there again as there are many choices, but I was happy to stay at a local place.

Going WAY Back to literally my first Few Days in New Orleans... (Review of my stay between 5/3/23 and 5/7/23) I booked my trip by beginning with a Hotel in the Quarter... Ended up going with La Galerie Hotel. It looked nice online. Room had high ceilings(I know a lot do in New Orleans), nice amenities, and a bed that was Dreamy(literally) I slept great, and was comfy in my room. Few rooms in the Quarter are Roomy, but the room was big enough to house a Big Queen Bed, and when I was in the room, I was as comfy as could be. I was even able to hook up my ROKU streaming device, as La Galerie has great WIFI... About $150 a night all in, and for it's location, it seemed affordable. The Check in, and Check Out interactions were really great. Smooth, and seamless with great info sprinkled throughout. The staff answered a few questions I had about where a few things were in the Quarter, and specifically.. "Delicious" was a very helpful, and charming front desk/concierge. Ty Delicious!! The front desk staff will point you in the right direction for sure. I arrived the last Weekend or so of Jazz Fest, so the Town was a Buzz to some extents, and my HOTEL seemed like a bunch of old friends all now back together to see their Fave Friends play their Music again... Great Vibes, and people just drinking it up, the alcohol, the fun, AND the Jazz!! I met Mr Eds Oyster House(see my Review) because I stayed at La Galerie, since it's so close, so that was a real blessing. You should Definitely stop into Mr Eds Oyster House, and say Hi to Jimmy, and Jon at the Bar... and remember, "Order Extra Garlic Bread So I can say "YOU'RE WELCOME" in a Fun, but Know it All Tone.... Back to La Galerie.. It's a beautiful, but small Lobby, but that might be what I like about it the most. There are a few places to sit and read a periodical, or a map of New Orleans, but mostly it's designed to quickly receive Guests, and get them on their way upstairs to their rooms. An Art Gallery is attached to the East Side of the Lobby, but wasn't open when I stayed, or not open when I passed by... It's a great place to stay, and just not designed to have a big Lobby set up.. La Galerie does house COTERIE, a fine restaurant and Oyster Bar, and it seats between 50 and 100 I would say. I didn't grab anything from COTERIE yet, but plan to revisit La Galarie to say Hi to the staff soon, and will review COTERIE then.. If you see La Galerie on Priceline, or Booking.com between $100 and $150 a night(Maybe a bit more on a HOT Weekend where demand meets supply a bit more), suffice it to say, that it's a great value, and a Great Location to leap onto your Big Easy Dreams!! Right now it looks like they are on Priceline between $110 and about $130 for some dates in Sept and Oct 2023. I have a few more Reviews to drop in next few days... Cheers, and Meow MEOWWWW!!!

This boutique hotel is a gem! I had such a GREAT experience with the staff and accommodations. Here's why: 1. Inviting, well-lit lobby and a welcoming front-desk attendant that made a list of places to eat and visit to try. 2. Clean, modern and comfortable room. 3. Perfect location that is close enough to all the highlights of New Orleans, and yet far enough to get a quite nights sleep. 4. Did I mention really friendly front-desk people? They truly provide a concierge feel. I mean, what hotel text you to ask how I am doing, if you're not VIP? 5. 24/7 beverage bar of water, tea and coffee. Didn't realize how something as simple as this is appreciated after walking for miles or late night drinking. 6. Extremely affordable. They should charge more. I loved this place!

Came here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It's in the French Quarters and near everything. Canal Street , Bourbon St, and Cafe Du Monde are just a short walk. They have an art galleria next door with some cool pieces for the art lover. Also there's two restaurant that are nearby that serves delicious food. Coterie Restaurant & Oyster Bar (next door)and the Creole House Restaurant & Oyster Bar on Canal. Our room was the Jr king suite and it was spacy. Bed was comfortable and there was also another small room with a day bead with a trundle. Also, we had microwave and refrigerator. Everything was amazing and a special thank you to Jose Galindo for making it extra nice for our 25th anniversary. Thanks Jose Galindo and staff
