I had friends in this past weekend and we were walking back to their hotel from dinner nearby when one of them said, oh let's go to the bar with organic wine. And she started walking to this building... which looked closed. But she was correct! Labarre is a month old wine bar (they have hard liquor and beer too) behind Fourth Wall Coffee in the same space, along with Beaubourg Theater. It's a really interesting multi use space with coffee and pastries up front until 4 and the bar opening after the coffee shop closes and the theater is next door but has an entrance into the coffee/bar space. There's also a lovely courtyard. The bartender let us know that many of the wines are organic but not all but the selection was interesting. I had a lovely glass of a sparkling Italian white. It was rich and still dry. A perfect night cap. It's an interesting space on a pretty quiet block. I hope they find a niche.

This place is amazing! Is has such a fun yet chill atmosphere. Great wine and drink selection and staff. The owner Uznea is the best, so friendly and constantly working. The bar tender, Samira, is engaging and knowledgeable. They had a great local Jazz band the night we were in. We will make a point to come back. LOVE THIS WHOLE IN WALL!
