Loved our room! Very cute and quaint. Easy and fast check-in and Brianna was so sweet! Location is close to French Quarter and Bourbon St. so no need for any Ubers/Lyfts. Would love to stay back here again! Also, they charge $12ish reservation fee for each night which I didn't know when I booked through Priceline.

From to check in to check out the everything in between has been an amazing experience while in New Orleans. Every interaction and referral from the front desk employee, Miya, has made this trip memorable! We were grateful for every food recommendations from her. The location of the hotel was perfect, two blocks from Canal and all of the action while still being within walking distance to the dome. I highly recommend staying at the Magnolia!

Hotel was gorgeous. Staff was helpful. Had a great stay! Also, the location was absolutely perfect. We were able to to walk everywhere we wanted to go!

I'm not sure why this hotel has such poor ratings. Very convenient to get to. The staff is very accommodating, especially Michael. Ready to help with whatever we needed and answered any questions we had. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The best part - the price! Everything else was so expensive and we were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful our stay was

This place is great! Location is prime and the price can't be beat. It was the cheapest hotel in the area, but very nice! Staff was friendly and happy. Only downsides: no fridge or microwave in rooms. Your key might stop working as well, but that was quickly fixed. You can walk almost everywhere during the day.

This hotel has a lot of potential, unfortunately I think it is being run into the ground. Definitely not what I would consider a boutique hotel, as it is lacking in amenities and the customer service is not up to par. When we arrived in our room our curtains were disconnected from the assembly and the towel hook in the bathroom was destroyed. Only one wash rag was provided for our party of two -- awkward. We asked several times to get extra towels and even after numerous requests and them telling us that towels were on the way, they never brought them. We ended up having a showdown at the front desk that night while the night management went behind the desk to get towels. This was recommended by another frustrated guest as the only way to get extra towels. 10 hours to get an extra washcloth. There is no bathroom or bedroom storage and they don't carry lotion in the bathroom. The door key and opening mechanism was glitchy and it would take 5 minutes to open our door each time. Can't imagine how a drunk person would manage that door. There was a booger glued to the wall of our room and 2 homless or drunk people were allowed to sleep on the lobby sofa all night. No unloading area in front of the hotel, which was inconvenient arriving late at night. We also never received housekeeping during our stay. I'm not sure if this is some type of minimalist concept but the customer service and lack of cleanliness reflect something very strange. Not what I was expecting when I booked a boutique hotel. On a positive note: The bed was comfortable, had nice down pillows & most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Not all of them, but most of them.

Solid 1.5 stars. Would not recommend. We have stayed at the Magnolia in Dallas. Arrived at this hotel after 9 PM on a Saturday. There was no place to unload, no valet, no bell staff. A single desk The lone bartender was having a bad night, and closing the bar. The one front desk staff person seemed to be holding the whole hotel together. Our party of four rode the one tiny creaking rickety elevator two at a time; one with luggage. When we arrived to our room we realized it was next to the elevator shaft. were alarmed at how loud the elevator was; it made sleep near imposible. We requested another room but the desk clerk informed us the hotel was booked solid. The room was more spacious than many hotels and the two queen beds were comfortable. It was newly renovated and reminiscent of Ikea decor. It is an aspiring boutique but is more reminiscent of a third world hostel. Sadly the bad here outweighed the good. We were supposed to have perks including free room upgrade and two free drinks upon arrival. The desk staff suggested we could but a drink at a nearby bar The magnolia is a beautiful fragrant flower and a joy. The Magnolia not so much.

Don't stay at this hotel We were robbed by the maid Our prescription medicine was taken, Clothes for our cruise were taken Management returned our money for the room but didn't seem to care that they have thieves working for them We are Seniors and travel frequently and this is the first time we have ever been robbed by hotel staff

I stayed here for a night for my concert and when I arrived to my room it wasn't cleaned. There was Tupperware filled with food, all the trash cans were filled, and their used complimentary stuff was still there. When calling the front desk I asked if they could swap me to a new room or come clean the one I was in and they said OK. However, multiple people came up to our room, and the last lady said that she would send someone to clean it and nobody ever came up. I was unable to make this a bigger issue because I had to go to my concert, but I'm very displeased with the service. On top of all that the room does not have a microwave or refrigerator and the door to the bathroom doesn't open up all the way because the toilet is in the way. I had to use a manual key to open the door and the ice machine isn't on every floor. As well as the continental breakfast that had nothing.

We were in town for Halloween weekend, and a visiting football game. We came in the morning to see if we could possible check in early. We were told no room was available, to come back at the regular checking time of 4:00 pm. We told front desk, we needed to leave our luggage because we were going to a football game. Front desk showed us the room and we left our luggage. We arrived back, a little after 4 pm, we were given a room. We opened the door and found the room completely dirty, and not ready. We went back to the front desk, and were told they had, no clean rooms available. They told my husband they would call us when a room become available. There was a couple in front of us, who told us, they gave them a room that was already occupied. When they opened the door, they walked into a couple. They immediately went back to the front desk to complain, and were told they had no rooms and had to wait. I asked to speak to a manager, this type of service is Not acceptable!. They should prepare and have plenty of staff to have the rooms ready at the time of check in. By the time the manager arrived, the line was long. After an 1 hour, we were finally given a different room. I would Not stay in this place again. Management should be ready for a busy weekend, and make sure guest don't wait. Specially since we were here at the time indicated to checking - 4:00 pm. Clean bed, no dresser, dirty floors in the bathroom, out dated decorations.
