A must visit hen on Bourbon street. Along with fantastic artists performing everytime I was there, the drinks and beignets (at cafe beignet in the square) are wonderful. A superb experience and open air ambience

Even in the morning, the jazz is playing, and there's a crowd sitting here having a couple of drinks. Life-size Statues of famous jazz musicians beckoned us inside.

A great place to sit outside with a good amount of shade available while you listen to great music. Cafe Beignet is located here along with a slushy bar that serves frozen Hurricane, mango, and other drinks. The atmosphere is lovely with a small fountain and the legends statues. Bring cash to tip the musicians.

I was last here over 10 years ago and mistakenly wrote a review about it under the Cafe Beignet outpost which is located here. I'll visit over to that entry and make a correction. For our recent trip, Gayle, David, and I wandered into the Musical Legends Park one evening and enjoyed listening to music together. It wasn't too crowded and it was nice to hang back with a decent sight line and good acoustics. Gayle and I then returned the next morning for a Cafe Beignet breakfast, and enjoying our meal within the Park. We might of been a little early, as music ensemble was staging for their performance as we left.

Stopped by to hear the live music on a weekend afternoon. The statues throughout the park are big and are perfect for photos. There is place to get coffee, drinks, and beignets! Plenty of tables to sit at throughout the park too. There was a live jazz band performing, and they even brought up one of the audience members to play! There were also heaters around the main sitting area, which was nice and warm! I Recommend stopping by for live music and coffee and food if you're in the area!!

Musical Legends Park is located smack dab in the middle of Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. There are multiple statues in the front of the park and a Cafe Beignet behind where live music is played every day. The statues, plaques, and displays are all a tribute to all the musicians who've played in New Orleans. There's a Cafe Beignet inside and also a couple places to buy food and drinks. It's actually a really nice sanctuary and the complete opposite of what is going on the street right outside. The band that we listened to was great and I'm assuming all bands who play here are also great. Sitting outdoors and listening to relaxing music is such a needed break from all the craziness.

Bourbon Street on a Tuesday night isn't nearly as hectic as Bourbon Street on a weekend night, but it was still fairly packed and rowdy when we headed out. We'd passed this little getaway a few times over the course of our stay and finally decided to duck in for a few. We made a beeline for the bar, where we waited for the bartender to finish explaining to the guy ahead of us that he needed some form of ID to sell him alcohol. It was a long conversation. We ordered a couple of drinks then made our way over to a table close-ish to the stage, so we could recline, imbibe and enjoy the live music. I don't know the name of the duo that was onstage that night - it was a trombone playing female singer and a male keyboard player - but they were talented. I loved the huskiness of her singing voice and the selection of songs they played for everyone. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. We did hang out for a bit, but in the end we dropped a tip in the duo's bucket and headed back out into the night. We really could have stayed longer - we had nothing planned for the night - but the siren song of all the New Orleans things was calling to us, and we had to answer. If you're looking for a relatively calm place to catch your breath, head into the park. There are food options available at one of the kiosk/stores at the back (to the right of the bar), but we were still so full from lunch we couldn't even consider food at that time.

Everything about this place would make me come back again. Front the fast service, to the live entertainment, the food,and the great view. You place your order, take the number they hand you and a server will bring it out to you.
