My party had a nice time here and the pores are pretty dam good. Although, the restrooms need some attention. One star taken away for the bathrooms.

Our group of eight came here excited for a fun drag show. We paid for a table and were ready to support the performers with tips and drinks. The bartenders were great and the venue itself is awesome, but the host, JoJo, ruined the entire experience. From the beginning, she was rude and dismissive toward us for no reason. At one point during a video segment, she even walked over and told us to "be respectful," even though we were only quietly talking to each other. We weren't heckling or being loud at all. We know how drag shows work and we were being polite. Still, she singled us out and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It killed the mood for the whole night. We came ready to have a good time and show support, but instead we felt targeted and embarrassed. I want to be clear: the bartenders and staff were great. The venue deserves a better host. JoJo is unprofessional, mean-spirited, and not someone who should be entertaining a crowd. We'd love to come back, but definitely not if JoJo is hosting again.

The first time I passed by OZ in the 90's I swear I saw a naked man dancing on the bar. Mind you, I was pretty tipsy at the time, so he may have just been wearing flesh-colored speedos. Either way, you are bound to see some cute Go-go dancers when you come here. Oz is one of the top gay bars and dance clubs in the French Quarter. They also give back to the community via charitable events & donations, which I appreciate. When I'm in town I stop by to play Drag Bingeaux or catch a Drag Show. On my most recent visit, I met up with a friend here for Drag Bingeaux. It also happened to be Happy Hour, which was an extra bonus. My friend and I had a great time as the hosts Ivy Dripp & Demi Boi Frost made the game exciting & fun. My friend ended up winning twice! (A $15 bar tab and a $25 bar tab.) He said he never wins, so I must have been his good luck charm. LOL! At least he covered my drinks. Oz is happening 7 nights a week because there's always something entertaining going on. Be sure to check the website for weekly events. Drag Bingeaux on Sunday 7 pm - 9 pm HH specials Thurs - Sat 5-8 Sun 6 -9 Late night HH Mon-Wed 11 pm - close

My favorite part of Oz was that I felt like I was in a safe environment the entire time - granted as a female I am probably not their target audience so your experience might differ. Since it was in between holiday season, it was kind of dead with not much going on. Personally I don't mind since I don't enjoy bumping elbows with others anyways. Shout out to the go go dancers for setting the vibe even with the small crowd. I loved that people would get on the stage to dance with them - good vibes only!

Limited seating. The upstairs gallery was closed. The drinks were good for the price but it's the drag show that was great. The lady's brought enter-taint-ment. The bathrooms are jammed in the back and need to be cleaned. However at the bartenders are friendly.

PLEASE BEWARE!!! Read reviews on Google and Trip Advisor on this bar!! I was traveling alone. I made the mistake of paying for my first 2 drinks with a 100 bill. The Bartender named BO saw my money. Toward the end of the night, my 3rd drink was made not in front of me. 20 mins later I could not walk. Bo and the bouncer african american man who was heavy set, swooped in, walked me outside, robbed my purse and put me in a car. I called the police in the morning having NO memory of anything. I was distraught. I will do everything in my power to protect travelers from this bar.

I've passed this place several times on my trips to NOLA but have never been in. This time, we had a perfect reason and found it to be an amazing dance club. There is a cover per person, and once we got in, there was quite a wait for drinks as there were only 2 bartenders for the packed downstairs floor. Once we got our drinks, they were good enough but nothing spectacular. The gogo dancers were entertaining and really catered to everyone regardless of gender and it was fun having them dance and wink at everyone in your group. The dance floor was really where all the action was, super packed and with a great dj. There was also an upper floor and balcony, but we didn't make it up there. Overall, it was a fun club, and everyone had a great time. While I wouldn't come for the drinks, it's a great spot to dance after you've got a buzz going.

Dancing or people watching, this is the place to come. A little crowded. Drinks were typical dance club. You would think they would have a themed drink for the club.

The bartender was rude, slow and downright mean. A guy with a grungy beard. He snatched the pen out of my hand signed my receipt for me and stormed off. The worst service I've ever seen. If you hate people your life and your job, do something else. Awful first and only impression. Misery is contagious.
