After working in the French Quarter for 36 years as an entertainer an have been going to this establishment since 1984... It was good to see that it was still family owned. The daughter who was at the front door was very cordial unlike her brother who was a little aggressive and made me feel like it was a privilege for me to enter their establishment. They no longer need us but we need them. Their mother and father who built the foundation of the business never ever acted I respectfully to their clientele. I feel as if the attitude of the place is an overwhelming disappointment and disrespect to the foundation that built a gold mine for their children and family. Don't disrespect what they created and built for you. The worked their asses off to hand you a legacy. Respect that. Respect them. Also $25 for two Dr. Pepper shots after the bar tender cursed out the two customers before me. Not a good look for the legacy that your parents built. Not you. It wasn't a good look for you or the city. So better and understand that we have to deal with drunk patrons. To challenge them and be extremely rude, entitled and arrogant like they need you is not what it was built upon. The lack of disrespect for your clientele is unacceptable and disgusting. Please do better. I would also like to say that the tall skinny bartender should be fired. Even though he was not a total jerk to me... I watched him curse out three customers before me and then price gouge me. Do better. The woman at the front door was the only bright spot for me. He brother was also not approachable, personable or kind. He seemed extremely entitled and rude. P.S. even after getting fucked on the price I still tipped his ungrateful ass $5

Stay AWAY!!! My friend and I went in here during barkus to pee. They asked if we would were going to buy a drink we said yeah we will get some shots. After I already confirmed with the guy at the front door as I was walking in this older lady grabbed my wrist and said "are you sure?". Do not touch people. We went to the bathroom and ordered the shots. Later they had a $3 cover charge instead. Look it's Mardi Gras there are tons of people. If you don't want people to come in and use the bathroom or want to make money have a cover charge. Many bars do it. However, I will also say I have been to many places without a cover during Mardi Gras that don't care about ppl using the bathroom and people actually stay there and buy drinks. It was pretty obvious why there was hardly anyone in there.

This place is a hidden gem in the French Quarter. It's been popular with locals for decades and is still going strong. There is always great music and it doesn't get overcrowded like the Bourbon Street clubs. This place is a must visit

Best bar in the quarter !!! Love this place, excellent service from the bartenders, great prices on drinks, and without a doubt, they play the best dance music all night long!!! Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't been here.

A group of friends and myself found ourselves at the gold mine saloon . We just stumbled upon it but it was an outstanding time. Best by chance thing ever. We will definitely tell our friends to go and when in Nola!!!!!!! Cheers to the best bartenders in town. We had a great time

If you're at the right level of drunk, want to over pay for drinks, want to pay cover, and are ready to shout sweet Caroline with a bunch of sweaty white people, go for it! This place would have been fun when I was in college, but then again, I could not have afforded to drink here in college. Definitely not a must go to bar in the Big Easy.

Gold Mine was a great time! Went there Saturday night after our best friend's engagement party and we stayed until they kicked us out and turned the lights on. Place is filled with old school pinball machines and arcade games, cool vibes for sure. Really enjoyed our time there
