I took Uber yesterday and it was 6.42 to CVS. On the way back I t was 12 dollars. It said I had two drivers. The next thing is Uber submitted multiple charges to my bank from 130.00, 97.00 and 87.00. my bank stopped them and issued a fraud alert. I tried calling Uber but there is no way to talk with a live agent. So I set multiple chats. They said everything is fine that I need to change passwords. That was not the problem as they are still trying to charge my bank. I have chatted with them numerous times to no avail. Does anyone have a valid number for uber

I was verbally assaulted and had my window hit by 2 uber drivers last night while picking up my daughter at NOLA airport. I was screamed at and called derogatory names. I was so traumatized I couldn't even note their plates. But I certainly remember their faces. I will never use uber or any company that hires such dangerous employees. Cancelling that app now.

I used Uber for multiple trips in New Orleans October 31-November 3, 2004. Multiple times I was directed to cross very busy Canal Street to meet driver on opposite side of Canal. Pedestrians are basically targets for drivers in New Orleans. I am a senior who can't run across and it usually takes 2 light cycles to get across wide streets. One driver in a black Jeep Cherokee pulled up and said "Uber". I was dispatched a completly different make & color which showed up across the street. I informed the Jeep Cherokee he was not my driver and he sped off. Check vehicle license plates for your safety always. Tonite I was in front of Tulane University matched on the app specifcally at the address. 2 Uber vehicles were dispatched and both supposedly were within 100' and just disappeared off the app. The third vehicle said "arrived". I noticed a vehicle across Elk Place and streetcar tracks and the neutral zone which is local speak for a medium. I texted the driver numerous times asking if he had his flashers on? No response. I hurried across the wide street and verified by license plate he was my driver, pointed in the opposite direction of my hotel. Driver was completely unresponsive to me asking if he recieved my messages or knew my destination. My phone is a S24, 6 weeks old with Verizon. On the Uber app there is no space to email or write out issues. Just numerous possible issues pick and choose but no dialog. I wonder is Lyft is any better. Uber adjusted the fare a couple of bucks. I would rather pay more for better service and not have to walk any further.

Yeah, I will never use Uber again. I have used Uber plenty of times in the past and my drivers have been great, but the company itself can go *** *** ***. I used them yesterday twice. Going from home to the French Quarter and back again. Drive to the French Quarter, no problem with the pricing. Going home, a bunch of BS. The price I was charged was in direct violation of several federal anti-trust laws. You can't tell me what the price is and then send me a receipt with a "book fee" that shows a total that is almost double what was shown when I scheduled the ride. I used the rideshare to get a 20% discount. The fare was $16.96. No one else booked so I was supposed to get that discount, but I did not. So, per my receipt on my phone, including the tip of tip was $17.64. But, lo and behold, when I got the email receipt and saw the charge on my bank account, my total was $29.63!!! They had added a "Booking Fee" of $12.95!!! WTF?! Uber adds a "Booking Fee" which was NOT in the original receipt nor specified on my phone, but yet they illegally state will be shown in the price when you book the car. Per their "Help" page, last paragraph: "The fee is based on various factors, including the trip's origin city and distance, and is included in the price you see in the app before requesting a ride." I call UTTER BS. Then, when I click on the information icon, you lie and say the booking fee was shown, which it was NOT. When I attempted to get help, this option was NOT available in the help menu. I wonder why? Because you know that what you are doing is illegal and you don't want to be called out on it? Should I be forced to use Uber in the future or a friend uses it and I am forced to ride with them, I will advise them to take a screenshot of the price given when they book, and when they are screwed by you to present that screenshot, if able when they then dispute the final charge on the receipt. I will also be filing a complaint with the state attorney general and the FCC. Perhaps I should look into an attorney who is interested in pursuing a class action lawsuit since your corrupt @$$ has been losing left and right with your corrupt and unethical practices in California, New York, and other states.

We have used Uber the whole time here in NOLA and it has been fantastic each and every trip! Worth every penny and we always felt very safe!

Let me begin by saying 99% of my Uber experiences are great. However, this driver was the rudest, most odious person I have ever encountered. I was outside smoking a cigarette in front of my own home and the car pulls up at the next house. I didn't think anything of it and put my cigarette out and walked next door. I get in and acknowledged the driver as I always do and she pulled off with me and my friend in the backseat. This is the middle of the afternoon and we were meeting friends downtown for brunch. I realized that the window next to me was down and proceeded to close it because I had just fixed my hair and I did not want to get it messed up. Driver says something like "dont close that window" I say "why?" Driver says "You were just smoking and I am allergic to smoke." I CHOSE not to make an issue of it and she traveled another few blocks and turned onto Gentilly Blved. I then asked "is it ok to roll the window up now because I don't want my hair getting messed up?" Driver says "I am not going to complete this ride because I fell threatened." driver offered to bring us back but we said to just let us out (we were at Gentilly and Grand Route). As we wait for the next car, my friend who I was riding with and had been picked up first, told me about his experience when he was picked up. Being both Native New Orleanians, we were raised to be polite to people on our first encounter. Apparently, when he was picked up he asked the driver how they were doing and if they were enjoying the beautiful day (it was about 75 degrees and sunny). the driver said they "didn't feel like talking because they were listening to a podcast?" Driver, I hope you read this because I am sure you remember us. As a provider of services you are an ambassador for this city. Your natsy, rotten disposition will bring you no tips. incidentally the driver we got, who was quite a bit younger than you are, was totally pleasant. At your age, which I expect was around 50 like myself, you should know better. Do your job with a smile on your face or quit. If you were just having a bad day, then stay home.

Uber is a rip off. The company quotes one price than when you get their email you are paying double. They add BS additional charges and lie with their upfront cost. I am done with Uber. There is a new ride share REVO coming. They will be more fair to customers and to their drives. I had a $49 dollar fair in LA and the driver only got $14 of that. Quit Uber. The company didn't respect customers or drivers.

It is so difficult to reach Uber. They charge high rates and the most random times. They have no rules. They are not under the taxi cab bureau and city hall has 0 to do with them as far as rules and regulations. Uber eats charges so much now for added expenses. They need regulations like taxis. They make money because the app is easy to use but they take so much money from customers.

Was in New Orleans for Super Bowl. The lines for Uber were very long and spread out to multiple locations. Originally, we were text that Uber would be available in 7 minutes. Then, it did not show. Later, after about another 1/2 hour, we received a text that Uber was not available. So we did it again. Got exactly the same result after another half hour or so. Then, did it again. Got exactly the same result after another half hour or so. Then, did it again. This time it was different. 7 minutes to getting Uber. Then delayed for 30 minutes. Then delayed for 21 minutes. We began to exchange texts and driver indicated would be late and did not know when he would be there, could be another hour or so. I let him know that I just had a surgery, was outside in the heat and had to go back inside air conditioned airport and throw up. Somehow, I got charged for this ride. Very unhappy with Uber in New Orleans. I believe they could have done better. And then to charge me for not showing up after more than a 2 hour wait with no car ever showing up.

i reserved and paid for uber to come to pick us up for an appointment to a place where you don't get second chances. if you don't show up, you have to start all over again. so i decided to check to see where the uber was because it was getting close to the time for them to pick us up. ooh, should i even be surprised? well yes!!! see, when you reserve a ride, table at a restaurant, birthday or anniversary party venue, etc. the business is expected to honor that. if something comes up, then it is their responsibility as a business, to notify you so that you can make other plans. the person should not have to try to figure out what happened. everyone needs to know what they did. btw, i have screenshots of the confirmation that payment was accepted, payment taken from card, and of their all the sudden cancellation.
