Great breakfast.

Bakery goods are premade just heated up before served but still tasty.
Coffee is on the softer side. Pretty good.
Interior and service were just fine. Laid back spread out vibes making it a great place to work, study, or meet someone.

My wife and I loved this coffee shop. The coffee was absolutely delicious. Not overall sweet but had character. The food was also very good. I had a raspberry cream cheese filled pastry and my wife had the spinach quiche. They offered to warm them up and I highly recommend you do. They both tasted excellent! I enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and art pieces on the wall. If I ever return to NOLA I'll be sure to return to Backatown.

The food was pretty decent,but this is the only good thing that can be said.
It was obvious from the get go that the beverage orders were forgotten. The server came over twice to confirm both orders. This is while customer after customer came in after us and left with their orders. We evenutuall got the frappe,but the iced americano was never made. I mean its wild to charge people for an item and never even bother with it. The atmosphere is pretty cool,but service is spotty. When we left the person who took our orders shook his head. He knew we never got the second drink order. Im sure it meant they were way understaffed and this sort of thing happens alot and looking at some of the other reviews this seems true. Again decent food good atmosphere,freindly staff just spotty service

The Cranberry Cream Cheese Scone is absolutely out of this world, and the cappuccino is fantastic! A must-try combo. And it is also a dog 🐶 friendly place. I only wish I had more time to soak in this experience.
