My parents love the smothered okra from Magilla's. They only serve it on Friday's and it is so popular that they usually sell out (so you have to order it early). I do not eat okra, but I do enjoy their fried fish as it is always crunchy. Potato a salad and Mac and cheese are pretty good too. For my sweet lovers you have to taste the sweet potato casserole, you won't be disappointed. They have different specials every day of the week ranging from steaks, to lasagna, stuffed bell peppers, and much more. Pictured below were two plates we ordered. I wasn't a big fan of the ribs but everything else was good. They also have seating inside if you want to eat there. Unsure exactly what time they open, but they are usually pretty consistent with posting their hours and specials of the day on Facebook.

Nice place! Arrived right at opening time, put my order in. They were willing to do my substitution request. Got to talk with the owner while I waited for my food. And the food was good: meaty red beans, moist cornbread, etc. I'd go back again.

EXCELLENT food. The fried shrimp was seasoned well as was my smothered okra. The sweet potato's and everything else was full of flavor. I will be a repeat customer. I don't do shoutouts unless it is excellent and baybayyyyy this was excellent!!!!
