Nothing beats a proper New York City bagel, but Bagel Mainea in Augusta, Maine did in a pinch. Good coffee, nice and strong. Sesame and blueberry bagel we're good. They could bake them a little longer as my sesame bagel was a little pale other than that a tasty little stop. Was looking at other people's orders they look like the sandwiches that they have here are good as well

Recent visit for a breakfast sandwich with a friend. I love their fresh bagels and have been a long time customer. The bagel variety is unmatched. They also have coffee, a large variety of lunch menu items including soups. Their ingredients are always fresh and there are lots of healthy options. There will a usually a wait and a line. Don't be discouraged it's quick and you will not be disappointed. Reasonably priced.

Best bagel shop around! This place is always popping- normally a 15min wait at least for a bagel. You can call ahead and pay on the phone and pickup quicker if u need. Their sandwiches are great (I usually opt for the honey avo turkey) and their selection of cream cheese/bagels is good too. The service is nothing fancy but gets the job done

Stopped around 7:15am while on our way to Acadia to grab some sandwiches (and bottled kombucha) to go. They were very friendly despite the hour, and our bagels held up nicely for when we ate them ~an hour later. An over-easy egg (in this case it was closer to over medium but NOT over hard, which I appreciated) is a risky experience but I found my Taylor ham, egg and cheese on sourdough to not be as messy as anticipated despite the reasonable portion of cheese. The sourdough bagel was soft for my liking but still delicious and sturdy (not tough at all!) and the rosemary black olive was firm with flakes of sea salt. I would not mind returning to try some of the other creative sandwich options and bagel flavors--this was a great start to my day.

Was just passing through Augusta on my way to Bar Harbor and stopped in for a quick bite. My initial impression of this place was that it would be a cute little mom and pop spot, and I was right. I opted for an everything bagel toasted with butter and my boyfriend who typically doesn't do well ordering on the spot, asked for the cashier's opinion on what he should try which was a blueberry bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The blueberry bagel with jalapeño cream cheese was actually pretty darn good! Overall, we were happy with our pick. The food was out quick and it tasted good! Would definitely stop back in if I am ever back in town.

The whole vibe of the place was wonderful and people working there are wonderful. The selection of bagels were impressive they had extra special menu items for topping your bagel from cream cheese to meats and cheese. I LOVE this place. This was our spot in high school and I always make sure to stop by when I'm visiting home. It's so cozy inside and there the service is always very friendly! There are so so many bagels to try and a lot of different sandwiches to order. My go-to order is the Honey-Avo-Turkey on a salt bagel. It's super delicious and it's what I always order when I stop in. Definitely stop here if you're in the Augusta area and need breakfast or a sandwich for lunch.
