If you want to feel that you are actually live in Portland, love quiet and safe community, easy parking, walking distance to Walgreens 7-11 gas station or any restaurants that locals eats, blind tiger is the spot.

We stayed at the newly renovated Carleton Street at Blind Tiger; absolutely stunning décor set in spacious rooms that give a great vibe of relaxing while visiting busy Portland! The staff was very attentive, gave us recommendations for things in town, and showed us around the Inn , including the fully stocked pantry! Breakfast was just enough to give you a great start to a busy day out. The self-serve buffet was extensive with fresh breads, bagels , amazing plentiful toppings , several coffees, teas, and yes…even almond milk!

Clean, quiet , good location - wonderful stay ..highly recommend!!

••• Our company rented the Carleton Street location to host our annual company holiday party after I had been to their Danforth location when working with a local tourism company. I originally inquired about the location I had seen and this space was recommended to me instead. I was hesitant, as I loved the Danforth house so much but now, to be honest, it was so wonderful that I truly hesitate to recommend it because it feels like a hidden gem that I want to keep to myself. :)

••• The property manager was highly responsive and answered questions very timely and despite several emails, she never made me feel like I was being annoying...haha.

••• The space made me feel like we were having a holiday party in someone's well-decorated, high-end, gorgeous home. It had minimal Christmas decor, so I did bring some more but we actually appreciated that the decor wasn't so over the top that it would prevent flexibility of use of the space. Instead, it had just a tree and mantle decor but already had a "warm" vibe due to the decor. (Also, great for those who don't celebrate Christmas as it's not in your face at all.) It was perfect.

••• The entire space was very clean on arrival. We had full use of the kitchen (Just to give an FYI: As far as I can tell, this is only with the venue rental option, not if renting a room for the night) which made heating up catering items a breeze and there was plenty of room for our 27 guests to play board games and sit and mingle comfortably without being in an overly large space.(Nothing worse than a party that feels lame b/c the space is too large for number of guests.)

••• We didn't stay in the rooms, as most of us live nearby, but if they are as gorgeous as the rest of the home, it would have been a dream to.

••• I personally host a lot of events and am now just dreaming of all of those that I could have at this particular venue. I couldn't recommend them more!!!

Lovely experience at this Inn! We stayed 2 nights to kick off our first time visit of Maine and could have not asked for a better place to do that: warm, helpful welcome from the start, great atmosphere, charming room (ours was called "Waterfront"), curated breakfast, walking distance from everything we needed... It was perfect for us. Our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator. This did not matter to us, but it might matter to some.
Thank you for making our stay very special. We will return.

Beautiful 150+ yr old home that is a very enjoyable B&B. Meticulously maintained, quiet and peaceful with very supportive staff. We were in town for a family member's wedding within walking distance. The provided breakfast is a lovely assortment. The staff put together a to-go brown bag breakfast for the wife and I on check-out day bc we were leaving early for the airport. It is a 3-story bldg and the staff is eager to help carry luggage to your room. This was nice as we are in our 60s, had heavy suitcases and we were on the 3rd floor. Highly recommend.
