Denna lounge är varm och inbjudande och har en intim känsla där du vill koppla av och varva ner eller samlas med vänner. Det är mitt förståelse att det ibland också finns levande underhållning. Trä accenter som mahogny bar kompenseras av tapeter som speglar en brittisk biblioteksatmosfär fodrad med faux inbundna böcker. Barkeep var välinformerad och föreslog både en Chardonay och Pinot Noir som var enligt vår önskan. Beläget på den lägre nivån i det historiska Portland Regency Hotel, känner man inte de vanliga obekväma vibberna i samband med en plats under första våningen. Ett besök i den konverterade armébyggnaden från 1895 gör inte besvikelsen.

Denna hotellbar är en mycket fin storlek och har massor av dryck och mellanmål. Vi besökte ett par gånger före och efter middagar och det var alltid en bra publik. Tjänsten var bra.

Inte mad på alla. En av 6 underground barer vi har nyligen upptäckt i Portland. Det här har ingång från gatan och hotel tillgång (Portland Regency) . Trevligt clubby atmosfär, tillräckligt med folk, en del gratis snacks på 5:00 när vi kom. Bartendern Ruby är vad som gjorde den upplevelsen speciellt som hon är fantastisk på hennes yrke. Härlig Martinis och Gibsons och för $ 7 det folket är en stor affär. Vi kommer tillbaka att prova den meny med barsnacks senare. Trevligt ställe.

Min biff var tillagad som jag beställde den och den grönsaker var färska och välsmakande. Mina gäster njöt av deras förrätter och servicen var mycket bra. Vi besökte två gånger den senaste helgen. I all ärlighet jag hade ingen aning de erbjuds maten på andra ställen än en snack tallrik. Fredag var oerhört upptaget natt och vår server, som var mer mogna än en del av de andra servrar var otroligt samvetsgranna - trots det faktum jag var väntar för vänner och bara en part av en i en mycket trafikerad lounge. Utan att fråga hon tog med en. ost och cracker fack och checkade på mig regelbundet tills mitt parti kom. På lördagen var det en mycket yngre publik och våra-server gjorde sitt bästa men verkade mycket överbelastad. Vårt sällskap väntade på ett tag tills vi gick till baren för att beställa våra drinkar. Som tog så långa att servern returnerade anländer på vårt bord. Det slutade med att jag tog våra drinkar till vår balkong. Vad beträffar nattliv är det här verkar vara ett resmål hot spot. Den martinis var utmärkta och det finns ett rimligt urval av viner. Igen, absolut ingen aning om att en mat -menyn var ett alternativ, men det är inte varför vi var där - jag skulle vilja föreslå en begäran de la carte menus as det var inte erbjuds på antingen natt. Oavsett av en del normala hektisk lounge brister, den Armory hade en fantastisk atmosfär till det, det fanns alla åldrar och de martini var som bra som vår referens sade det skulle vara, om jag bor på hotellet eller inte, stannar i för en riktigt bra drink, bara vara tålmodig.
