Great experience going for the first time. Food is slightly pricey but well priced for the area and you get good serving sizes. Very quiet and cozy restaurant.

The service was amazing. The staff were very kind and loved conversing. You could tell they enjoy what they do and being at the restaurant. They even gave me a little candle for my birthday, sang, and made jokes.

The food was great. The bread had a char to it that was unique. Slightly burnt, I think but it was kind of nice. The pasta was a prefect al dente. The boar ragu was a seasonal offering I'm glad I went with. Their trofie (short rib) is definitely one of the best pasta I had. Highly recommended that everyone in the neighborhood give it a go.

They have BYOB on Monday/Tuesday which is no corkage fees!

They have BYOB Wed and Thu! Their service is impeccable and foods are delicious. For the pandemic era - you might wanna bring your own blankie as their outdoor set up guarantee air ventilation but the heaters may not be enough on a cold day.

I've fallen in love with their top notch service as well as the delicious food. I am going to be a regular here, especially as a wine enthusiast.

I booked a reservation on Open Table for 8pm. We arrived early at 7:45pm and checked in. The restaurant was packed and the gentleman told us it would be a few minutes and we offered to wait outside in the freezing cold not to block the doorway. While we were waiting outside people were streaming in and at 8pm I walked inside again and asked the host what was going on and why they never came to get us.
He sort of ignored me and there was a lot of commotion but it was clear they had no table for us. They had seated people who arrived after us with no reservations and then tried to put us at a makeshift table in the open door - it's 25 degrees out - adding insult to injury they brought in freezing cold patio furniture that they took in from outdoors. When I asked if we could at least get regular chairs the host told the gentleman seated at the next table that I was mad that they were seated in our table - I was not mad at him at all and never said that - the host tried to start a fight between me and another patron. I asked to speak to the manager and was shuffled outside to the cold again. After 10 minutes waiting my date asked if we could please just go somewhere else because she was freezing. Shame on them.

I probably should write this review sooner as I almost go to this place monthly!
The food is super nice. Very homely atmosphere. The servers are professional yet welcoming.  The owner Vince is super chill.

Maybe it's not a "cool" spot for date night and it usually closes before 10pm. (Sorry night owls) But it has one of the best kept secrets for UES. It allows BYOB every Monday and server would help open, chill and pour ( we def leave extra tip because of that!)

Awesome Mother’s Day 2021 meal during the pandemic. The mother in question was very happy with the meal, the service and the dessert. If you’re on the UES and fancy some fancy Italian, this place will work. They are usually open only for dinner service, but had Mother’s Day lunch available. We sat outside in one of those cozy structures. We will be back.

83 1/2 är en dold pärla! Den hemlagade pastan med filet till pomodorosås är lätt och läcker! Fläskköttbullarna var möra och goda! Ett måste besök för alla! Vi kommer absolut att gå tillbaka!

Italienska mat är en favorit för min familj så vi bestämde oss för att äta på 83 1/2 baserat på rekommendation av min granne. Vi hade en härlig upplevelse som personalen var så vänlig och köket var utsökt. Min personliga favorit var aubergine parmesanbollarna och brysselkålen. Jag skulle starkt rekommendera 83 1/2 till alla som älskar Italienska och en familj, är detta restaurangen för dig! ! A

Jag bokade en bokning på Open Table för 20:00. Vi kom tidigt vid 7 : 45 pm och checkade in. Restaurangen var fullpackad och herrn berättade för oss att det skulle ta några minuter och vi erbjöd oss att vänta utanför i iskall kyla för att inte blockera dörröppningen. Medan vi väntade utanför folk strömmade in och vid 20:00 gick jag in igen och frågade värden vad som pågick och varför de aldrig kom för att hämta oss. 
Han liksom ignorerade mig och det var mycket tumult men det var tydligt att de inte hade något bord för oss. De hade sittande människor som anlände atter oss utan reservationer och sedan försökte sätta oss vid ett provisoriskt bord i den öppna dörren - det är 25 grader ut - lägga förolämpning till skada de tog in iskall utemöbler som de tog in från utomhus. När jag frågade om vi åtminstone kunde få vanliga stolar sa värden till herrn som satt vid bordet bredvid att jag var arg för att de satt i vårt bord - jag var inte arg på honom alls och sa aldrig det - värden försökte starta ett slagsmål mellan mig och en annan beskyddare. Jag bad att få prata med chefen och blev utslängd till kylan igen. Efter 10 minuters väntan frågade min dejt om vi bara kunde gå någon annanstans eftersom hon frös. Skäms på dem.

Vår dotter flyttade till Yorkville sent förra året. Vi är matgäster som tycker om att hitta och uppleva lokala restauranger. Vilken upplevelse detta var! ! Åtta av oss hade en reservation för 17.00 på söndagen. 83 1/2 var tom så sittplatserna var smidiga. Restaurangen fylldes snabbt. Vår server (jag är ledsen att jag inte fick hans namn) var en erfaren professionell. Han hanterade alla våra frågor med ett leende. Hans kunskap om menyn och hur förberedelserna var utmärkt. Vi bosatte oss på sallad och antipasto tallrikar för våra aptitretare. Fyra av vardera levererades till bordet. Salladerna var färska med en delikat skiva parmesan ovanpå. Antipasto bestod av Calamari, Aubergine Parm, Whole Artichoke Hearts och Grillade Brussel Sprouts. Helt fantastisk kvalitet! Vårt parti frågade om artiklar som inte var specifikt på menyn, kocken rymde varje begäran och levererade mat av högsta kvalitet. Vi hade en mängd mat från deras läckra pastarätter till räkor Oreganata och kyckling Piccata. Varje platta gick tom. Jag rekommenderar starkt 83 1/2 för service, mat och avslappnad atmosfär.

Besökte en vän som bor på övre East Side och han tog oss till 83 1/2. Fantastisk upplevelse. Inställningen är mycket intim, tjänsten underbart uppmärksam och maten var utmärkt! Vi har kommit ensam och fört med människor. Alla älskar det. All mat är bra, men vi har naturligtvis våra favoriter. Gruvan är Fettuccine Bolognese (Ragu), Chicken Parmesan och Chicken Scarpariello. Min fru är linguine Vongole och Fettuccine med porcini svamp, soltorkade tomater och tryffelolja. Vår favorit aptitretare är polipo, grillad bläckfisk sallad. Priserna är mycket rättvisa för kvaliteten, och servicen är också bra. Och medan varje dag är bra, om du går på en onsdag. eller Thurs. , det finns ingen corkage avgift BYOB! Wow. Om du känner till dina viner, kan den här affären inte bli beat. Naturligtvis har de också ett otroligt fullt urval av fantastiska italienska viner, liksom cocktails.
Vi har varit i Italien ett halvt dussin gånger och maten här är lika bra eller bättre än någon plats vi har varit, söder, mitt eller norr! En helt smaskig måltid från ost / salami aptitretare genom en bra pasta med ragu och en härlig kyckling scarpiello. En utmärkt Barberra vid glaset också. Att inte lämna ut efterrätt - Tiramisu var utsökt. Det är alltid packat men det är bra.

Vi gick här med en vän som känner till denna restaurang bra. Vid vår 6: 30 reservation var platsen ganska tom, men inom en timme hade fyllts. Ännu full, vi kunde få en konversation som ljudnivån var acceptabelt. Maten är mycket bra: prova auberginebollarna för en aptitretare; troifie pasta med ragu; kalvkött piccata och svärdfisk var utmärkt. Till efterrätt: tartufo!

Denna restaurang var bokstavligen ett stenkast från min dotters lägenhet på 83: e gatan. Vi hade en reservation, var sittande genast. Maten var utsökt. Vi hade calamari aptitretare och aubergine "köttbullar". Det var 6 av oss och 3 av oss hade samma sak - spaghetti inslagna aubergine som var mycket bra. Min man hade branzino, som han sa var utmärkt.

Vi hade aptitretare och drycker där några gånger. Delar är stora, särskilt bläckfisk också mycket gott! Vitt vinval är inte bra och Sauvignon blank är inte bäst. Kompletterande bröd var inte friskt. Tjänsten är normalt - inget utestående. Skulle komma tillbaka för Calamari aptitretare!

Denna stadsdel favorit har nyligen renoverats betydligt, men med samma ägande och förvaltning. Vi har haft en härlig måltid här igår kväll och valde en mycket bra Oregon Pinot noir från den omfattande listan.

Vi hade två separata versioner av välberedda kronärtskockor; min fru hade en läcker svärdfisk med kapris och citron sås; och min pasta med svamp och soltorkade tomater var en perfekt medley - varje ingrediens stod ut och alla blandades vackert.

Tjänsten var uppmärksam och mycket vänlig och renlighet verkade vara mycket bra.

Glasvaran för vin var särskilt bra.

Jag började min måltid med den läckra Pasta e Fagioli (pasta och bönsoppa). Min huvudrätt var lika läckra hälleflundrasoratata (med samma pålägg hittar du på Clams Oreganata). De två rätterna som nämns gjordes för en av de bästa måltiderna jag har haft på en restaurang nyligen.

En stor stadsdel restaurang som uppfyller dina italienska matbehov. Välberedt kök som passar alla typer av kost.
