Went to Momofuku Ssäm Bar for a friend’s birthday, and it was worth it. Very nice ambient in the restaurant’s dining room, where we had the tasting menu. The service was excellent, and we had the sake pairing with the dinner, which was a nice addition. The food was very good. The initial dishes were excellent, though the mixed greens and the fluke ceviche did not wow me. The meat portion of the meal was heavenly. They were prime beef and pork cuts, and it showed. The dessert sorbet was very light and refreshing. Would recommend for a special occasion.

Not just amazing food, but an incredible experience. The chefs were so personal with us as they prepared our food. The wine pairings truly enhanced the meals to a next level. My wife and I look forward to enjoying another experience here. (Oh, and even the leftovers still tasted great.)

Surprisingly good food. Unexpected, as over-hyped places are usually a let down. Everything was a hit, back to back and a great choice of location as the Pier gives a fantastic view of the city, especially at night. The ambience was great and the service too.  Worth every buck spent here.

Really great outlet/branch of Momofuku. Went with a couple of friends whose verdict was that this place is better than the Noodle Bar outlet. When you reserve or walk in, do note that the menu of “downstairs” and “upstairs” is different (~50-60% different). We chose to be downstairs where it is an a-la-carte menu. If you choose to dine upstairs, there is a choice between a-la-carte (different from downstairs) and set menu.

Among the dishes we ordered, all were quite good and there were no dishes we felt which were below par. Would definitely recommend folks to try out the pork belly buns, whole roasted branzino, crispy potatoes, and the hamachi.

Also ordered a few cocktails which were pretty decent too.

We were excited to get our first experience of Momofuku, and it wasn’t disappointing. The oysters, the steak (essentially a Korean BBQ with lettuce wraps and the whole shebang), and the dessert with sesame and white chocolate, all so wonderful! The staff was courteous and professional. The heated patio has a view of the waters.

Bokningar rekommenderas. Gick här för brunch. Som en grupp av två beställde vi två aptitretare och två elnät och var nöjda. Fläskbullar och japansk aubergine var läckra att börja med. Avokado toast med anka var också bra. Lite höjdpunkten var brisket okonomiyaki. Fenomenal!

Vi hade en utmärkt lunch här i denna roliga, hip och cool restaurang. Fläskbullarna är viktiga och läckra. Vi älskade också Duck Ssam och Okonomiyaki med biffbrisket.

Faktum är att min fru fortfarande rhapsodising om okonomiyaki som var en riktigt perfekt fusionsrätt - den fluffiga pannkaka var lika bra som någon vi har försökt (ha varit i Hiroshima), men den saftiga brisket på toppen var helt enkelt inspirerad (liksom munnen vattentät utsökt!). Nästan glömde att nämna aubergine maträtten i början som var verkligen vacker.

Kombinerade med vänlig och smidig service och ett bra urval av hantverks öl gjorde detta till en perfekt lunch och mycket rekommenderat!

Vi är från så. Cal och vår son och svärson gav oss ett presentkort eftersom David Changs Major Domo är så svårt att komma in i L. A. Vi fann att fläskmagelbullarna är så beroendeframkallande att vi beställde en andra gång. De får inte listas på middagsmenyn, så du måste fråga dem. Den platta järnbiffen var också utmärkt, med den krämiga sås och svampen. Vi önskade att de hade ett större urval av veggies och gatan. Louis revben var bara OK för oss, men vi kan fortfarande smaka den fläskmagen en månad senare. Det var en rolig, ungdomlig, avslappnad plats och reservationer behövs.

Ostron, scallops, skinka och blomkål. Allt av högsta kvalitet. Och sen huvudnumret: "Whole Roasted Fish Ssäm". Serveras hel med huvud och stjärtfena kvar. Det är bara en sak som fattas; benen. Vi har sett tricket förut på Momufuku i Las Vegas. Inte ens vår fiskhandlare fattar hur dom gör. Den hela fisken är verkligen helt benfri. Inte en broskbit. Och så en fantastiskt god smak.

Rätter är större än vad vi förväntade oss och vi överordnade.

Vi snubblat in här och fick ett bord direkt trots att platsen var upptagen. Blomkål Caesar sallad var förvånansvärt och otroligt uppfriskande. Fläsk magen ångad bullar var några av de bästa jag någonsin har haft. . . min fru fick en nonalcoholic dryck kallas en basilikat limonad som var fantastisk! Rekommendera denna plats.

Mina vänner och jag hade sett fram emot denna restaurang i månader. Det är ett mycket trendigt ställe på 2: e Avenue, öppet för gatan. Jag måste säga att det var en besvikelse.

Vi beställde skinka aptitretare, sedan potatis, stekt majs, kokta potatisar. Alla portioner var mycket små och individuellt inte mycket fyllning. Skinkan skivades så tunn att du kunde se ljus genom varje bit. Potatisarna var små. Den enda tillfredsställande delen av måltiden var hela fisken. Var medveten om att du får hela fisken, huvudet och svansen ingår.

Totalt sett blev jag besviken över denna plats. Hype var stor, verkligheten var liten. Jag skulle försöka en annan Momofuku restaurang för att se om de erbjuder bättre portioner och värde. En bra sak var att denna restaurang var rätt bredvid en stor efterrätt plats som kallas mjölk.

Jag besökte Momofuku med min fru och vuxen son på en söndag i september 2018. Menyn var oerhört varierad och exotisk, priserna rimliga för en exklusiv NYC restaurang. Bokningar var svåra att få, men inga problem sitter oss när vi kom fram. Modest vinlista. Maten var mycket välsmakande och jag rekommenderar denna plats, så länge du vet att det är exotisk och inte amerikansk komfortmat.
