I'll start off with 1 minor thing in my opinion that could easily be improved.
When arriving to valet parking, it would be nice for someone to take your bags to check in for you... even better would be to have them taken to your room for you. I would think for the price you pay to stay, that little bit of a courtesy would be standard.

Now, a little feedback about the awesome room with a beautiful view!
The stocked mini bar with snacks when walking in was nice! The bathroom is excellent, there's a private area for you to do your business in and then the rest was a huge shower with an abundance of water pressure which is rare these days! The soaker tub does accommodate the big and tall folk with ease, which is rare, just like the high water pressure!

Super comfortable king size bed, not too soft and not too firm... not too sure what to call it besides comfortable! Lots of drawer and cabinet space for your clothes, nice robes to relax in. You have floor to ceiling power curtains that open up to a private balcony with a nice view of the harbor, ballpark etc.

We decided to grab dinner at the Chop House inside the hotel. Porterhouse was delicious, but all I will say is order the Meatballs... they will not disappoint!

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and in such a great charming location. There's nearby bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Our room was stunning with a water view. The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. We also had dinner and breakfast at the Rec Pier Chophouse restaurant and had no complaints. We had a steak and a ceasar salad, and both were so delicious. We will definitely return!

Just wrapped up a two-week stay at the Pendry, visiting from the UK for work. I was planning to leave a glowing review, but my last night completely ruined the experience.

A $200 bottle of prescription medication vanished from my room after housekeeping came through. I tore apart my luggage, the room—everything—for three hours, and it was nowhere to be found. The day before, it was sitting right next to a $5 bottle of Tylenol on the coffee table. The Tylenol was moved to the bathroom counter, but the expensive, controlled prescription medication? Gone.

I reported it to the front desk, and their response was beyond disappointing. They had housekeeping "check" the room (which, of course, turned up nothing), and that was that. No follow-up questions, no effort to address the situation—just a shrug and a "sorry, have a nice trip" as I checked out.

For a hotel in this price range, I expected much better. More than the loss itself, it's the lack of concern that really left a bad taste. If this had happened at the Four Seasons, I have no doubt the response would have been more professional and considerate. Safe to say, I’ll be staying there on future trips—and advising my UK colleagues to do the same.

If you do stay here, I highly recommend using the in-room safe—or better yet, bringing your own security solution, since staff still have access to the provided safes.

I really wanted to give this place five stars—the rooms, architecture, and overall atmosphere were fantastic. But the experience fell short of what I expect from a luxury hotel.

First, we were taken to the wrong room. Not a huge deal—they quickly corrected the mistake and moved our luggage. But when I called the front desk with a simple question about their shopping service, they had no answers, promised to call me back, and never did.

At dinner, we waited 40 minutes between our appetizer and main course. At breakfast, they brought me the wrong order. And when we checked out, the valet stood by and watched as I loaded everything into my truck—while three other staff members sat back.

I’m not high-maintenance, and I don’t expect perfection. But when you're paying for a luxury experience and tipping accordingly, the service should meet the moment.

May I suggest the staff read Unreasonable Hospitality?

This is our first time staying at the Pendry hotel but won't be our last. I will say the only complaint I have is that they don't have their own parking garage or area here. They do have valet but and some street parking but we opted to pay for a parking garage about 900ft away from the hotel for the weekend. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and courteous. We definitely felt like we were valued here. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great and have all that You need within. You have to request if you want a refrigerator in your room and the staff will have one placed there for you. The hotel has a lounge within with live music as well from time to time. Drinks offered are great as well. We got a room overlooking the water. No complaints. Definitely a place to check out if you haven't already.
