So it's Super Bowl Sunday, you're in a pinch and every other liquor store is closed. What do you do? Hit up Caton House! It's open 7 days a week to fulfill your inebriation needs. Lolololol! It's right off Caton Ave., there is a small restaurant on one side and a small liquor store on the other side. They have a fair selection and the prices are a little higher than most- when you're in a pinch you can't complain. So if I'm ever in a pinch again, this is where I'll be.

Stopped in here after coming from Loafers and my mom and aunt needed to pick up a little something to take home. This place was just too tight for me. I didn't feel very comfortable in it. The staff were ok. Nothing to write home about. Not a place you would want to spend hours in. That's my opinion. They have a sit in bar but, just too small.

I was dropping off my rental car and saw a restaurant sign across the street. I had been traveling for 10 hours and I thought I'd grab a bite before getting a ride back to the hotel. It's a liquor store as well so I wasn't expecting much. When I walked and asked about their food, they looked at me like I was an alien. They had wings and fries or a cheeseburger they told me. No menu--no prices listed. I had a bottled beer, fries and wings for $14. The beer was $3 which was reasonable. Six wings came out cooked like Chinese chicken. There was no sauce and they were heavily fried. Certainly NOT New York style wings. I asked about the fries and he said they don't come with it. I finally got the fries which were fairly good and substantial. But...trying to get ketchup was like pulling teeth. As I was eating, I was wondering if they even had a food service license and started to get nervous. It really was not good food and way overpriced at $11. They are not a restaurant and should not advertise as such. Considering how little they care for customers and the unusual guys in suits that they were chatting with, I had to wonder if this was s front for something else. I knew they wouldn't care if I tried telling them how I felt, but I hope this will help set someone else's expectations correctly.

This business boasts a sign out front, Restaurant, Liquors and check cashing. But do your self a favor, If they do not know you, Apparently they will not cash your check. I stopped in there on Friday April 3 to cash a small check and was greeted with strange looks and then told we don't know you, The manager is not here. Even though it was a legitimate company check which sits no further than 3 blocks from the business and I had proper identification. After which I went out to my car to get a pen and paper to get the info needed to contact the manager of the establishment and was told, We don't have a number and basically told to get somewhere. Very rude very unprofessional... Would not recommend!!!! I can understand being careful in these times but they went overboard and should not be in the check cashing business......
