We took a food tour of Little Italy/Jonestown in Baltimore. Mary Margaret was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area. We had a small group of four and visited Attman's, Isabella's brick oven, La Tavola, and Osteria Da Amedeo. Food tours are great way of seeing what local life is like and skipping to the front of the line to taste a variety of dishes. We saw historic sites like the Lloyd street synagogue, Corned beef row, the Carroll Mansion, Reginald F. Lewis museum, and birthplace of the Star spangled banner flag. It was about a 3.5 hour walking tour and there were intermittent breaks to eat in restaurants. Before this tour I had no idea there was a 'Little Italy' or a 'Corned beef row' and how much history these places had from the restaurants started by immigrants in the 1800s. It also makes a difference having an enthusiastic group and getting to know everyone. This tour is highly recommended.

Our guide, Mary Margaret, did a great job of introducing our group of 12 to Fells Point. We stopped at 4 places for delicious treats, some unique to Baltimore, like tater tots topped with crab and cheese. The tour was from 3p (get there at 2:45p) to 6:30p with ample time to enjoy the food and her commentary. She knows all about the area, its history, current state, and the bars and restaurants. Made me want to come back! Our guide spoke clearly, answered many questions, kept us together, and showed care and attention to the group and to the owners we encountered. Very nice experience! Do be sure to wear reasonable shoes, though, because you'll be walked on some rough surfaces. Enjoy!

We picked the fell's point food tour in Baltimore because we heard good things. We spent around 3.5 hours touring and learning the historical importance of the city. Our tour guide was great and knew lots of facts about the area. This tour was heavy on bar food which seems to be indicative of the current restaurant scene here.

Review of Fell's Point tour: I've done a handful of food tours over the years and the Fells Point tour ranked up with the best of them. I was really impressed with the selection of places that our guide James took us to, and there was a lot of range in the food and atmospheres. And yes, there was PLENTY of food to go around. And don't worry, there will be crab. Our guide also did a great job taking us around and telling us about the history of the Fell's Point district, shows us some cool "secret" spots along the way. You could tell he was enthusiastic about the area. The vegetarian member of our party was also very satisfied with the replacement dishes. And our other friend was able to bring her newborn and always had a place to put her stroller. Overall everything went smoothly and great times were had.

Went on the Fells Point food walking tour, it was really great. Our guide Nora was absolutely awesome! She definitely knew her food/drinks and we got to sample food from some great places! I'd definitely recommend this tour and I'm excited to try the other food walking tours they offer!

I took the Fell's Point tour. Although it was very cold, it was still very enjoyable. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food at most stops was very tasty. I especially like the guacamole, Korean beef tacos, pit beef sandwiches, and fries. The dessert - fried PBJ Sandwich, was a nice way to end. I wasn't as impressed with the carb cakes, but it was fine. I would recommend this tour to those who are interested in getting stuffed while learning about the city.

Ease in booking: 1 star Tour guide knowledge: 5 stars Food selection and quality: 2 stars Value of tour: 1 star (definitely not worth the cost!) First off, we had repeated issues scheduling the tour. It took us over 1.5 years to finally schedule it! We were new to Baltimore when we received the gift certificate, but by the time we were on the tour we were locals! We were first told the date we wanted was open but the tour group was small. We told them we would like to go despite this, and received no response! We wrote them again to confirm the week before and they told us they were no longer offering it. This happened twice, 8 months apart. Disappointing. We chose the Federal Hill tour. The tour guide Michael was a very knowledgeable, quirky, and socially awkward. He knew a lot of tidbits about Fed Hill which was great, but also was awkward enough to make things somewhat uncomfortable. The food stops were hit or miss. The first stop at Nicks in Cross Street was all fried food (mini fried crab cakes, calamari, and french fries) which was not special. The second stop was Porters where the meatloaf was pretty bland and the cheese sandwiches were sweet, tasty, and superb. Our next stop was Pubdog where each person received half a beer and 6 of us shared a single personal pizza. Both selections were quite tasty though TINY! The last stop was Reggies where our tour guide got pretty tipsy off of generous wine pours, overbearingly dominated the conversation, and people started leaving as early as was socially acceptable. Overall I was unimpressed by the food selections of this tour (but my perspective is of a local, not a visitor). I think the venue selections were fine but sushi or fish from Nicks would have been much more appropriate and a decent pit beef in Baltimore would have been a good choice. I also didn't love the tour guide. I overall would not recommend this tour.

The Little Italy Food Tour was great!! The food was incredible! Our tour guide, Molly, was awesome!! She was very engaging and extremely knowledgeable of the area. I definitely recommend this tour!

Charm City Food Tours is a winner! It's hard to find family activities that all our boys -- a 20-something and 3 teenagers -- enjoy. The Jonestown/Little Italy tour was a lot of fun. Our tour guide Molly was very personable and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and very plentiful. I highly recommend this or any of the tours. We will definitely be back!
