Wanted to do something different for my husband's birthday celebration so I came up with a day of activities and one of them included a helicopter ride. Booked Charm City Helicopters for a private 20 minute tour of Baltimore. Booking: The company is in transition to updating the booking system so I had a hard time booking initially via Google Ads but was able to book instantly when i went direct to the website. After I booked, I received a phone call confirming my booking where I talked to a lady and then also an automated text message and email. Pretty easy! Communication: They send automated text messages leading up to the Helicopter tour. Some of the messages are action items like entering your weight and reminders to sign waivers. One recommendation would be to include the waiver in the text message because it went to spam in my email so I couldn't find it and it held us up a bit when we were ready to fly. If a text message is sent about signing the waiver we should probably create a url for the waiver and add it to the text message. Also if you respond to the text message it doesn't go anywhere since it's not monitored and only for output. Arrival and Rules: Masks are still required for passengers which initially didn't seem awful but the pilot doesn't wear a mask and also the Helicopter was HOT and we were required to wear the mask the entire time. No air conditioning in the helicopter (@ least the one we were in that was black and tan didn't have any). The views were gorgeous but it made the ride uncomfortable on a day where it was 90 degrees. Ride: The pilot was great and delivered an entire history lesson during the flight. We are Baltimore natives but learned a few pieces of history while on tour. The ride was smooth and he let us know every time we could expect any extra vibration. This was a memorable experience. I would recommend for sure but caution if you choose to do it in summer with the current mask requirement. Wanted to do it for my birthday but it's in August so we will wait for sure. We will likely try the Baltimore Annapolis tour in Winter.

The charm city helicopters customer service was amazing. With the help of Ashley and Caitlyn I was able to plan a surprise birthday ride and dinner at The Capital Grille for my husband. I was provided with the best options to make it a special evening. The package comes with dinner included and they took care of making the reservation for us which made the process seamless. The view of Baltimore was spectacular and our pilot Mike was very knowledgeable. Got some great history of Baltimore! This is a top choice for a romantic evening!

My husband and I had so much fun! Mike was our pilot and he was super nice to us and even took pictures of us. Highly recommend! I couldn't believe the comments a reviewer left because everyone was so nice to us! Even with scheduling, we rescheduled several times and they where always so understanding and kind. Totally worth the price! We had a great seafood dinner included with our package! Love everything about our experience!

EXTORTION, SLANDER, LIBEL, DEFAMATION, AND HARASSMENT: I thought I'd never have to do this, but if you like helicopter tours, DON'T use Charm City Helicopters!!! My girls and I went to a food truck festival in Crownsville, MD, and they wanted to experience riding in a helicopter. There was an extended wait time to pay to ride (due to unstable weather, understandable) so we passed time away by getting their face painted. When they opened up registration again, we went back to pay, I paid via Mastercard. There were about 6-7 rides ahead of us, so they would call us when it was time. We got the call and stood in line. Storms began to approach the area (about 30 minutes away), and we THOUGHT we would be able to ride (5-6 minute ride), there were 4-5 rides in front of us, but the operator said the weather was a bit turbulent so they suspended flying when it was supposed to be our time (THE LAST GROUP). My girls and another young lady were extremely disappointed after waiting for so long, so the coordinator let them chill in the cockpit and I snapped some pictures. When it was time to go, I watched those WHO PAID IN CASH (keep in mind) get refunded. I was told by the owner Kaitlyn, I would receive a refund back to my account. I waited and waited...NOTHING. So I filed a chargeback. In their response to the chargeback, they said I was "not satisfied with the wait time and demanded a refund, and that I was "extremely angry about the 7-10 day refund period". I am a BRAND OWNER, I UNDERSTAND HOW PROCESSING WORKS FOR REFUNDS. HOW CAN I BE UNSATISFIED WITH A WAIT TIME AND DEMAND A REFUND WHEN I PATIENTLY WAITED DURING THE WAIT TIME, PAID TO RIDE, AND COULDN'T FLY BECAUSE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER AS STATED BY YOUR EMPLOYEE????? I WANTED A REFUND FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NEVER RENDERED. I was KIND TO YOU, YOUR EMPLOYEES, and UNDERSTANDING TO YOUR COMPANY DESPITE my daughters being upset. THEN YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO LIE in your statement of my character and attitude towards the associates??? HOW DARE YOU. I associated with you and your employees with not an OUNCE of hostility Kaitlyn. They told Mastercard that they wrote "Refunded in Cash" on THEIR copy of their receipt, which I DIDN'T RECEIVE A CASH REFUND, NOR A COPY OF THAT RECEIPT SAYING SO. I walked away from that festival with DIGITIZED MONEY, debit cards, NO CASH. DMV/Baltimore/PA, even if you're from out of town and want to tour, DON'T do business with them. PERIOD. It's $135, but the fact of the matter is, KAITLYN, you, the OWNER, PROMISED a refund because WE COULDN'T RIDE THE HELICOPTER DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, not because "SHE WASN'T SATISFIED WITH THE WAIT TIME", because WE WAITED BY ME GETTING THEIR FACES PAINTED NEXT TO YOUR TENT!!!! You apologized to me REPEATEDLY and even said you all would be flying at another venue and said I could go there, I declined because I live in Delaware. I HATE A LIAR. AND A COMPANY THAT LIES. I also see they have taken the route of defamation by saying I screamed at their employee in an attempt to build a smear campaign against me when nothing of the sort ever occured. I was patient, courteous WITH A SMILE with your 18 year employee and showed not one bit of hostility towards any of the employees of Charm City Helicopters. UPDATE 11:23pm: I have phone records of their calls, 3 calls were made TONIGHT, 8/5/2018 at inappropriate hours after NEVER returning my initial phone call, ONLY AFTER the review was posted to their Facebook page which was deleted after. I pointed out the contradictory stories they gave not only to Paypal and I, but to my me and my friends who UPON FREE WILL, commented in digust of their false claims. The hole of lies were dug so deep you had no choice to silence me, not ONCE, but TWICE, then deleted your FB business page to silence all together. The truth WILL NOT be retracted. Your point of inclement weather DOES NOT AND WILL NEVER explain why I wasn't refunded. UPDATE: The owner REFUSED to admit fault on behalf of his employees, STILL blamed me, and offered me a refund. UPDATE: Offering me a refund but also threatening me with legal action for my review.

The experience is ok, but the staff don't wear masks! They have a sign requesting customers to wear them but the front desk person and pilot did not (both came within inches of our faces to help us with seat belts). Honestly, that freaked me out the whole flight and I couldn't fully enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is cautious about COVID19, unless they change that requirement. The helicopter is too small of a space to feel comfortable around strangers with no mask.

I took my girlfriend on a tour 12/2/16 for her birthday and it was great. The staff prides themselves on great communication in all areas and they definitely delivered. The tour was a lot of fun and the pilots were great and this is coming from a guy that doesn't like to fly. I recommend anyone that's interested in a helicopter tour make sure you do it with Charm City.

This company is very dishonest and unprofessional. BEWARE. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! They were supposed to refund money to a credit card but claim the refund was given in cash which is 100% FALSE! THEN they harass on Facebook because a bad review was left. Visit their Facebook page for screenshots of the entire story!

Wow is all I can say!!! Super cool once in a lifetime experience!!!! Tons of room in the helicopter! This was on my bucket list but I'm going to do it again! They have multiple locations to travel to and different packages! It's addicting lol!! Incredibly safe and just absolutely thrilling!! I'm afraid of heights and this did not bother me at all!! I'd suggest incorporating this into a date night .
