Not sure why these reviews mention the prices being the cheapest. Our prices were right under Greyhound prices so it was not dirt cheap either. Maybe after the pandemic, their prices have bumped. I can understand all of that. What I cannot understand is changing drivers in the middle of the road for a 4 hour bus ride btw NYC-DC, the road rage having, cursing, aggressive drivers, no announcement making staff, almost 1 hour delay coming back.... The 2 star is for relatively clean restroom & working outlets to charge our phones. Overall, there should be other affordable options with better reviews.

Bus to NYC was 50 min. late getting to the White Marsh pickup. It was below freezing and windy, 29 degrees. Their tracking system could not find the bus. Consequently, we had to reschedule our restaurant reservation, run for our show, and rush the entire time due to the shortened stay. I wrote a letter of complaint asking for a refund and they said they cannot refund due to "traffic." I have a hunch there was more involved than just traffic, for the bus to be 50 min. late. At least the bus finally arrived, but I would not use this service again.

Cheap, does the job. Bus was late, but I could track it online really easily. Bus driver quality of service/communication was extremely poor. Left us out in the rain for 5 minutes with no explanation.

We take Megabus from White Marsh MD to New York City regularly. While I'm sure one day we'll run into delays (because how can you not at some point on 95) so far we've had flawless experiences. The buses are clean and the seats are comfortable. They leave on time and so far have always arrived on time. They drop off midtown in NYC and it's easy to navigate from there. Parking in White Marsh is free and plentiful and I've never had problems with that as well. For the money definitely the cheapest and most hassle free way to get to NYC.

Effective August 15, 2024, Peter Pan took over the Northeast Megabus routes. So, Megabus is no longer an option to travel from Baltimore to New York City.

Dec, 2019: My wife and I were headed back home from New York, on a Mega Bus, I sat in the stairwell and my wife sat in an actual seat because of a polite gentleman who had an extra seat. This was because a woman sat in our reserved "seats" that we payed extra for and the bus driver was very rude and informed us that he was not going to ask this woman to move to her actual assigned seat. He told us we were lucky to even be on the bus. I called Mega Bus customer service and of course just like the driver had a rude and unprofessional customer service rep, who provided us with no help or assistance at all. I also told the driver you obviously we're not checking boarding passes, which seemed pretty important.

Your driver was the rudest person I probably have ever met! When we arrived at the Baltimore stop, your driver was screaming at everyone "This bus will leave in so and so minutes, this bus will leave in so and so minutes, until the time". He did not have the decency to open the trunk so we could put my baby's stroller. My husband that to carry the stroller to the top of the bus where we purchased the seats. He YELLED AT ME to seat meanwhile I had to get my son's things organized with the stroller because he told us to just get in the bus. Our bus was at 4:40am in the morning so we had a lot going on with everything and a baby, and there was NO understanding or an inch of empathy! We got there before it was time to leave. Mind I tell you that on the way back, the bus I purchased tickets for was late for ONE HOUR AND A HALF!! And we couldn't do anything about it!! On our way to NYC your driver had his radio SO ABSURDLY LOUD, this was a 4:40AM bus, he was TAPPING the dashboard like a DRUM, for the LONGEST time! He made a stop in the MIDDLE of a highway on a triangle shoulder, for over 10 minutes!! It was extremely dangerous, he was in the MIDDLE, you could fell the bus shaking while the cars were driving by in high speed in the HIGHWAY!! I understand he might have been tired, or WHATEVER the reason might have been, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had! My father tried to go downstairs to use the restroom and he used the stairs from the front of the bus because that is where we were close to, your driver SCREAMED at my father to get off the steps, I'm shaking writing this email remembering how rude he was to my father!! Mind you, 5 minutes prior to that someone else went down to the front of the bus steps as well and your driver had not done or said ANYTHING to him. My father ran back upstairs and did not use the restroom leaving him in need to!! I will NEVER again get this bus!! We had to PAY for our baby that was recently born and was in my arms all the time. NO ONE DOES THAT!! I don't know if your drivers work to exhaustion and if that is the reason for him being a horrible person, but regardless of the reasons, everything that happened was not ACCEPTABLE!! Words cannot describe how upset I am!! I was used to use Megabus all the time when I was younger and boy, how did it change!! I really hope that you can work on improving the experience for others because mine was... I can't find a "proper word" to describe! After I sent an email, all I got was a "thank you for sharing your experience, we will pass this along". They DO NOT CARE AT ALL!!

Just to give the heads up on Megabus. I booked two round trip tickets from White Marsh to New York on 5-28-2022 for $139.47. I later came down with Covid and was unable to make the trip. I called Megabus and explained my situation and they told me no problem, they would issue a credit that would be good for one year. I tried to rebook on 4-30-2023 and was told that the credits had expired at the end of 2022. Be careful when booking because they advertise discounted tickets then when you try to book, they say there are no more available for that price but will book for full price. Then if you need to change the reservation, good luck! They will lie to you and later tell you "too Bad" Very poor business practices. I will never use Megabus in the future.

Can't count on schedule and they do not have any security at their parking lot in White Marsh. My car was vandalized to the tune of 8k damage and they had nothing to say other than call the police. TAKE THE TRAIN INSTEAD!!!!

First our original bus time was canceled2 days before our trip. Then we rescheduled for an earlier time. Stood in line, in 28 deg temps for 20 minutes and no one told us it would be another 20 minutes, until a passenger asked. Then the bus was actually 50 minutes late from scheduled time. Then we get on to find people in our reserved seats. Evidently Megabus has double booked the seats. The attendant then got rude when a few people were upset about not getting their served ( paid extra for) seats. Yelling at them to just TAKE A SEAT!! Acting like he was the victim because someone expected what they paid for. We were a group, traveling on a special trip together, and we're not able to sit together. Not a great experience for our first, and last trip on Megabus!!!!
