There is no better place to stay when visiting Baltimore than Rachael's Dowry. The inn is a once in a lifetime unique experience that is rich with history. The owner, Linda, will go through tremendous lengths to ensure that you are comfortable and welcomed. She even went as far as providing me with a map and several books to highlight some of Baltimores most sought out landmarks and restaurants. The location of the inn is a stone throw away from Oriole park and within walking distance of the inner harbor. Although Baltimore was quite beautiful, staying at Rachael's Dowry with Linda was definitely the highlight.

Historic structure lovingly restored with all the modern amenities. Linda is a charming and knowledgeable innkeeper. A very comfortable - and convenient - place to stay within an easy walk to Camden Yards and Inner Harbor. The only place I'll stay in Baltimore.

We had a fantastic experience at this bed and breakfast. Linda has thought of every detail from top to bottom to create a unique, immersive, and comfortable experience. We stayed in the Laetitia Mae Suite. This room was wonderful as it has a separate bathroom with a claw foot tub, marble shower, and private balcony. The rest of the house has a cozy, historical feeling at every turn. The library, with complementary tea or a nightcap, was lovely. And last but not least, Linda's homemade breakfast each morning was fantastic! I wish I could have finished it. Coffee, water, juice, muffins, berries, as well as a main course. What more could you ask for! I will certainly be returning whenever I am in Baltimore.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Rachael's Dowry Bed & Breakfast over the 2024 Memorial Day weekend. My wife grew up as a Baltimore Orioles fan, and we had tickets for the Monday afternoon game. We decided to make a weekend of it, and we just stumbled upon this place while looking for someplace near the stadium on Google Maps. From the moment we parked our car and walked in, Linda went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The area can be very confusing to navigate, but she had given us directions to the parking lot ahead of time. The facility makes you feel like you have walked into an episode of The Gilded Age. The place is filled with charm, history, and comfort. For my fellow bibliophiles, Linda has a cute little library on the first floor in the parlor area. We selected the Ella Virginia Suite for our stay. It was a challenge heading up the 3 flights with our luggage, but it was so worth it. The suite was clean and comfortable with a classic bathtub in the bathroom next to the shower. This room screams relaxation! The morning breakfast was no cheap hotel continental affair. THIS. IS. BREAKFAST!!! We were so well fed, we skipped lunch each day that weekend and felt fine until it was time for dinner. Linda was also a very gracious host with a depth of knowledge about the history of the house as well as the area. We will certainly stay here anytime we are in the Baltimore area!

My fiancé and I stayed at Rachael's Dowry Bed and Breakfast, for a staycation to celebrate our engagement. The cleanliness and the Covid-19 procedures were phenomenal. I felt very comfortable staying at this bed and breakfast, for those things alone. Now onto the stay! Linda the Innkeeper is amazing! From the initial calls to confirm details of our stay to the lovely welcome tour of the home, it is obvious that she cares about her guests, the history of the building/Baltimore, and the creation of wonderful impressions of bed and breakfasts in general. The decor, hospitality, food/snack offerings all work to highlight the history of this building. We stayed in the Ella Virginia Suite on the top floor. The clawfoot tub was a nice addition to this room. And my fiancé is still talking about the soft bedsheets! Also, if you get a chance, don't forget to try Linda's Carrot Cake Pancakes for breakfast. We can't wait to return to this bed and breakfast.

I went here for a weekend vacation and really enjoyed my time there. I saw so many positive reviews I was afraid that were fake but that are spot on. The rooms are gorgeous and Linda cooks an excellent breakfast! I hate waking up in the morning but I made sure NOT to miss her absolutely delish meal. She also makes the best gluten free cookie you will ever taste in your life. The best part of the stay was being able to chat with Linda, she has an amazing background and I seriously can't wait until my next stay there and to chat with her in the library drinking brandy.

As part of Doors Open Baltimore, we were delighted to have the chance to visit this B&B. It was like stepping back in time. This lovely home was built around 1798 and was lovingly restored in 2005 by the owner, Linda Smith, along with Jacob, the Inn's manager. It opened as a B&B in 2010. Linda and Jacob gave us a complete history of the inn including that George and Martha Washington visited on their travel through Baltimore. It is located just south of the University of Maryland Hospital on the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail. They told us that it was a safe house on the Underground Railroad. It has gone thru many ownerships and survived demolition when they thought I-95 would come right through it. It is truly a cozy and inviting home with a lovely setting for a B&B - you feel like you are in the country.

My guy took me to Rachael's Dowry for a birthday getaway yesterday. We both work from home so thought it would be nice to go stay over somewhere else! What a great surprise this was. The house is stunning, spotless, full of history and the innkeeper, Linda, could not be more kind and helpful. When we told her we requested no meat or dairy, she made it her mission to give us a lavish breakfast of it! Our room, Audrey Genevieve, was beautiful and so comfortable. Rachael's Dowry is a wonderful, unique oasis right in downtown Baltimore. They are following strict COVID-19 protocols too. We will be back!

My wife and I loved this beautiful B&B. We were in town to see an Orioles game which unfortunately we learned was rained out while we were on our way but we made the most of it anyway. Linda was a wonderful host. Upon arrival, she gave us a tour of the grounds and the history behind the house. She answered all of our questions and helped us make alternate plans. We stayed in the Ella Virginia Suite which was a gorgeous room. The suited had a large bathroom with a soaker tub. The room was very clean and comfortable. The sheets were so comfortable we are thinking of ordering some for our home! The B&B is within walking distance to Camden Yards as well as the convention center making it a wonderful option for whatever brings you to Baltimore. Rachel's has a few spaces in the parking lot behind the inn that are available for a daily fee. We loved the breakfast too. Linda made carrot cake pancakes which were decadent and delicious. The fresh cookies kept us sneaking one or two throughout the day. There are also a few glasses and brandy in the library room should you choose to indulge. We look forward to visiting again soon!

We stayed here two weekends ago. It was our second visit, and my review remains 5 stars. We love this bed and breakfast. The innkeeper is lovely. The breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are nicely appointed. Our room this time had its own porch (second floor). It was so nice to sit out looking at the garden below. We look forward to the day we return for our next visit.
