Last night, my high school class had our 10 year reunion here. When you think of banquet halls, you think of big spaces and old looking decor. This place is the opposite of that. It's more intimate so the space isn't as open but it's nice. It has the vibe of a club or lounge, which would be great for younger and non traditional banquet hall people. Great for birthday parties, baby showers, retirement party, pretty much any party. I would not recommend for a wedding reception unless the guest list is small. This is only because the space is smaller. There are two floors. The bottom floor looks like where food is usually served and the upstairs is the bar and dance floor. I don't think this setup could work for a large wedding reception since the meal is usually served to everyone together and the downstairs space would not be big enough for everyone to dine together. I also noticed how this place allows outside catering. Not sure if they cater themselves but this is nice and may be an inexpensive option for those looking for a venue to rent where they may want to bring their own food. I would love to throw a party here in the future.

Coming from Philadelphia, WAZE had me driving through downtown Baltimore's red light district to get to the venue, needless to say I was a bit concerned. I arrived to the venue safely ... lol and realized my concerns were unnecessary. The venue has security at the door and $10 valet service. (Yesssss $10 for valet ... unheard of in Philadelphia) walking into the venue I was pleasantly surprised, the venue size is more of an intimate space and it's GORGEOUS. The decor is very modern (leather furniture, spectacular chandeliers, gorgeous flower arrangements and a beautiful bar area) The staff (the owners, doorman, valet, bartenders and cleaning crew) were all extremely accommodating, they went above and beyond to ensure the party was a phenomenal success.

I must say Kevin made my 30th a memory I would NEVER forget. From him down to the staff, I was happy. I didn't have any issues, everything went SMOOTH. Kevin helped me get a hotel (discount prices) for my family and I. He made sure I didn't have to worry about anything. He was so welcoming and professional. I loved it! And YES, any party I look to have I will definitely be having it at Smooth flicks! THANK YOU!!!

I hosted my mothers 50th Birthday party at this banquet hall. Mr. Kevin was very responsive and always available for a walk through prior to the event. On the day of the event everything was as planned. Security and valet services we're present and prompt. My party planners and DJ were able to setup an hour before the event without any additional charge. This place is a hidden gem and worth the price. My mother partied all night and really enjoyed herself.

From start to end. Kevin Smooth owner, made me feel like my day was the only day he cared about. He provides personal customer service and give "us" the customer exceptional care and guidance to make your day incredible. My Wedding will be talked about for years to come due to the excellent service provided from him and his staff. My wedding theme was Royal blue guess what Royal Blue background lightsHis worker Charles was the nicest guy. Please look no further. Kevin also provided a photo booth, videography, and photography. He also D.J's. What more could you ask for!

I had my hubby's 50th here about a month ago....initially I was really skeptical due to 1 - the location being downtown which meant parking would be an issue and 2- I'd read a review of someone who'd just had her baby shower here and she was not happy at all. Not so much with the venue itself but with the owners and let me just say when you're paying $ for something you expect at the very least decent customer service. I will say I can totally see why she felt the way she did but as far as my experience it was not bad at all. That's not to say there were no hiccups but certainly nothing major. The one owner Kevin was very accommodating. Now as far as the venue, Absolutely great!!! Both my guests and the guest of honor were really impressed by the club like feel of the place and excellent sound system. Our guests actually thought it was a club. All-in-all it was a great event at a great venue and the owner is pretty cool too !!
