I had the honor of attending the Mother Sauces Wine Dinner Experience A six-course dining experience thoughtfully prepared by Chef Dan Wecker, with each course paired perfectly with its own wine. Sunday brunch: food was excellent, with standouts being eggs florentine with breaded oysters & seafood crepe, the setting is historic, and the hospitality and service were exceptional. Like visiting your favorite aunt's home, in terms of warmth and bend-over-backwards graciousness, as demonstrated by every single staff member we met, from hostess to servers to chef to manager. What a special experience! We will be back.

Finally dined in with a colleague. We both enjoyed it and were celebrating her new role and appreciation for her effort in her current role. Food was amazing and total experience pretty memorable. Since then I have ordered carry out again and I loved the food and even fabulous service while ordering over the phone and when picking the food up. This is becoming my favorite place for the best food while out here.

This is the second time I have came to the Elkridge Furnace Inn, both of my visits were for brunch and they never disappoint. The restaurant is pretty much on the Patapsco River, and it is known for its scenic views, locally sourced ingredients, phenomenal hospitality, as well as outstanding culinary creations in the tavern and their catered events. Stopped in last Sunday for brunch, we were celebrating one of my good friends. We had two servers waiting on us, Anthony and Mekhai(sp). These young men were phenomenal. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, if our party needed substitutions, they were accommodating. Just top notch, I would come back and ask for either one of them to service me, they were just that good. Our table had a plethora of delicious brunch items, we started out with some pastries for the table, the mushroom omelet, the Gillian( buttermilk waffle filled with apples, pecans and bacon served with a blueberry-maple gastrique), the deluxe which was my favorite. Basically, steak, onions, egg over easy, choice of side, and if you are not a over easy egg fan, you can get them to have your eggs fried. Of course there was plenty of mimosa's to go around, and they offer bottomless for $18. I also loved that the general manager, Mark came around to check in on everyone to see how the service was and if we needed anything additional. I will be returning because they also host wine dinners and teas throughout the year. You can not go wrong with Elkridge Furnace Inn. It's one of my fave farm to table restaurants in Baltimore. And they partner with a lot of local farms such as Morningside Farms and Pennyside to name a few. Great venue to host a wedding, or just have a nice a meal. SYOY

Been here twice- once for brunch, once for dinner Staff was friendly and helpful during both visits The inside is cozy, nice to sit by the fireplace Personally enjoyed their brunch more than dinner Their stuffed French toast & omelette are great For dinner, I had the soup of the day. The soup had crab in it & was pretty good. The fish I ordered needed more salt & didn't really taste like anything. Would consider returning for brunch

For our anniversary, we wanted to try this Inn as we had friends who recommended it. Considering it was a tavern from the mid-1700s, it was already fascinating from a historical sense. The grounds are peaceful and quiet - worth a stroll and there are places to sit. We were seated upstairs next to a window. There are other areas for larger parties. This room has 5 tables - 4 for couples and one that could seat 4. When filled, the room offers some conversation privacy but with less, it does seem a bit intrusive. We indicated with our reservations this was our anniversary and that was confirmed and repeated several times upon arrival. However, nothing was offered and we received the great service as everyone else. So, I'm not certain if they do anything unique for special occasions. Tony was friendly, attentive, personable and a wonderful server. His assistant was also great! It did seem odd that the water glass was so small. Granted, most likely have other beverages but such a small glass for water meant frequent visits to keep it full. My wife tried the crab cake which was exceptional! I had the Cream of Baltimore soup (absolutely amazing - you must try) before the Lamb duo of a shank and sausage with small potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The sausage was an explosion of rich flavor. The shank meat fell off the bone but it was my first time trying lamb shank. Not something I'll get again. The veggies were bland and the potatoes had a texture and taste similar to a squash, I had to pause and confirm they were potatoes. They offered a variety of desserts but none were speaking to us. The crème brûlée would've been perfect but isn't made the way we prefer. Chef Dan visits each table and the conversations are quite informative of dishes and the property. He's a skilled artisan. A property with this much history must have a ghost or two. Makes me wonder if anyone there has had experiences they would be willing to share.

Great service and quaint little place. It's a nice spot for an intimate dinner to celebrate a special occasion. They seem to have seasonal menus, so you can expect to try something different things every time you go! My husband I shared a massive bison steak last time we were there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The chef came out to talk to us towards the end of the meal, so that was a nice touch.
