The staff was friendly, and I did enjoy a quiet atmosphere at night, which made for restful sleep. If this had been a one-night, last-minute stay, I might have let some things slide. But after staying two nights and three days, I feel it's important to share some concerns that future guests--and management--should be aware of. 1. The Beds: Easily the biggest issue. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable--so firm it felt like sleeping on plywood. I woke up sore each day and actually had to take medication to deal with the stiffness. Even after returning home, the soreness lingered. 2. Misleading Info About the Pool: The indoor pool was a key reason we chose this hotel, especially with my kids having a nearby ball tournament. Unfortunately, the pool was closed, and there was no mention of this on the website, during booking, or at check-in. The kids were really disappointed, and so was I. 3. Cleanliness of the Bathroom: There were visible stains on the wall and baseboards near the toilet--looked like urine splatter. Also, the toilet paper was incredibly rough. Honestly, it felt like sandpaper. 4. Bathtub Issues: The tub had a constant drip and looked like it had been DIY-patched with multiple types of paint and caulk. It looked grimy and poorly maintained. 5. Shower Steam Problem: After showering, the bathroom ceiling would turn brown from the steam--definitely not something you want to see when you're trying to feel clean. 6. Lack of Amenities: No ice machines or vending machines. The only option was an overpriced shop in the lobby. 7. Cold and Repetitive Breakfast: Breakfast was mediocre at best--served cold, and they ran out of the main protein (pork for the breakfast burritos) on Saturday. My kids said the exact same menu and issues happened again Sunday. 8. Exterior Door Access Issues: The rear entrance (near our room) stopped accepting our key card the morning we checked out--around 8 a.m., well before checkout time. It was frustrating having to walk all the way around the building just to get back in after loading the car. With a little more attention to maintenance, cleanliness, and communication, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience. Until then, I can't recommend it for extended stays.

A/C/heat is not controllable within the room but building wide. The entire system is either in A/C mode or heat mode. It's currently 79 degrees in my room because they transitioned to heat mode too early. Recommend you find a hotel where the rooms have individual environmental control units.

ROACH ALERT!!!! ABORT!!! ABORT!!! There appeared to have been repairs completed near the bathroom but there was no attempt to repaint the wall! The ceiling paint was peeling in the bathroom! The 1st or 2nd day saw what I thought was a small roach but thought I was maybe overthinking it. By day three there was a large roach near the bathroom sink. I asked the front desk if roaches were a known issue. They said they'd send maintenance and housekeeping to our room. The night of day there we saw several roaches in the kitchen, I suppose it was because they sprayed causing them to disperse. We checked out the following morning and saw a roach on the kitchen sink and on the floor as we were heading out the door!! . Absolutely DISGUSTED!!!

This hotel is in complete disrepair! Shocked that a Hilton Brand hotel is operating in such a shambles and yet still charging the prices they are. The irony here is that I just saw a commercial for Homewood Suites being the perfect place to stay for families which is a joke considering the pool was closed for no apparent reason and we were not notified in advance. Imagine what its like to drive for 9 hours with 4 kids, telling them that they can swim in the pool as soon as we get checked in only to discover that its not going to happen! We were not even informed when we checked in that it was closed! Nightmare! Informed customer service of these issues to no avail. Don't waste your money expecting a better quality stay at Homewood Suites. It won't happen!

Here's what went wrong: No soap in room, no shampoo in room, broken closet parts hanging off the wall, mold in the bathroom, erratic room air conditioning, no air conditioning in the hallways, fire alarm went off an extended amount of time with no intercom explanation whether real vs test, internet went out repeatedly, broken washing machine, old man at desk insulting guests (not me) thinks he is funny/cute, table tops not cleaned between customers during breakfast. Here's what went right: Room was somewhat large and decent (mold doesn't bother me), Day Manager very polite and professional, variety of breakfast choices, shuttle to airport. FYI: There are 10-20 hotels in this price range within 1-5 miles.

I was walking down the back street and the driver of the shuttle bus pulled up next to me and stopped the bus and waved at me. I felt completely unsafe and did not know why he was pulling up next to me. He was not going in the direction of the hotel so it leads me to believe anything. I could have been spotted and then targeted. I stopped by the hotel and the associate Denice made excuses for the driver and did not find his behavior inappropriate. I am writing those because it's clear that safety is not a concern here. Be safe!!! I will follow up with corporate on the matter.

Horrible. Run down. Transient guests. Rooms smell like smoke. Never again will I stay here. Thank goodness it is just overnight. Sleep with one eye open. Yuck

We stayed here twice within two weeks. This hotel does provide an airport shuttle to BWI which is a good feature. They also provide long-term parking for for passengers flying out of BWI. The cost of long-term parking is eight dollars a day and is very reasonable. The employees are also very helpful and are willing to answer your questions. For both stays , they gave us a spacious room, and it was clean. The furniture is worn since it's a long term hotel. But I should point out, The cost is very reasonable for the value of the room. We did use the free breakfast in the morning. The oatmeal was delicious. They offered eggs, bacon, potatoes, and cereal. Muffins and coffee were also provided. Breakfast was good. If you're looking to fly out of BWI, this is recommended hotel to stay.

The only reason this Homewood is getting two stars instead of one is because the manager refunded our money! We were only there one night. The room actually looked nice. It was a 1 bedroom suite with a pull-out couch and a kitchenette. The room was clean. I thought the bed was comfy but Husband did not. The problem was the temperature of the room. It was 80 degrees all night and morning! Hey, I live in South Florida so I am used to my air conditioning. Needless to say, none of us had a good night's sleep! Homewood also has a complimentary breakfast. It was awful here. What was supposed to be hot (eggs & sausage) was cold and was was supposed to be cold (milk) was warm. After I complained about the hot room the manager apologized. After I told her that was unacceptable she offered us points or a refund. Of course we took the refund. It was the right thing to do.

I was a little surprised regarding the accommodations. The lobby looked up to date, but the room lacked appeal. The first night there I turned the ceiling fan on only to find it wobbling excessively. Come to find out one of the blades was missing... literally broken off. The staff was great... very friendly and responsive, but overall the hotel needs a little more TLC and should not cost as much as it did.
