Today's date July 2, 2025 1:30 PM I went to order a large deluxe pizza and the young girl that helped me didn't even wash her hands before she made my pizza. She had these long, disgusting nails. God knows what she's going underneath there. She had poor hygiene. This is ridiculous. I should trust that the person's gonna make my pizza is clean and has no nasty nails all over my toppings. Utterly disgusting.

I freaking love this place....Lil tips, order the pizza.... ESPECIALLY...the thin crust, extra crispy....MAGIC!! I get the ultimate magnifico with pineapple. Or the pizzolis. Also to the reviewers talking about delivery, they only deliver WHEN they have someone to take the food. Otherwise it's pickup.

Wow! I was really surprised when I saw the rating was only 2.4 and for this location. I am a pizza snob and connoisseur and in my opinion, Marco's is the Best commercial pizza place and this particular location on Pelham in Dearborn Heights. I like a pizza filled with air and strong gluten rest so rise well (1"+) on the crust, which Marco's has always done with a lot of void in the crust. The sauce is great and does not burn my stomach like some pizza places (Bonito's). I don't get to eat it so often as moved and it's a 20-30 min drive one way. Yesterday's pizza was good, but there were some changes I noted from all my previous experiences and a little disappointed in one, but I'll try to identify them. Pros: 1. The pizza was done perfectly (color) and hot. The sauce tasted great as always, so very happy with this. 2. The cheese was thicker than other places and very "gooy", so when you pulled a piece away, the cheese stretch and indefinitively. 3. The pizza was "heavy" and when compared to other pizza places ordered from, I would say, 2 to 3 times!! Not sure why, maybe the cheese and maybe the dough more dense? 4. The bottom was done perfectly, but more "cracker-like"! Some people may like this, some maybe not. I like a still bottom, but not cracker like and this was different than I had before! So, not sure if any changes to the dough recipe or how being cooked, but noted the difference and not as I would have expected and preferred. 5. My biggest disappointment was the crust! As I said, I like a lot of airyiness and voids and this one was not as I had in the past! Likewise, it was lower-rise, say 1/2" instead of the 1" I'm used to and prefer. Do to the above, I can't rate it as a "5" as previously. I think a "3" would be too low and they don't allow any partial ratings, therefore, I will have to rate it a "4", but still, significantly higher than the 2.4 average and hope they take this constructive criticism into account and make the necessary changes to bring back to where it was, so that I can rate it a "5". Right now, my #2 is Hungry Howie's, which they do have a very negative in it's not temperature "hot" when I pick it up! That was not a problem with Marcos.

The pizza is average, but frankly the past several times I have ordered there (both in person pick up and delivery) the orders were either entirely or partially wrong, and when I asked for a refund (last time I was missing an entire salad and the extra dressing for both the pizza and salad I ordered) I was told they can't credit my card back, they can only credit my phone number. OK, the last time I asked for a refund, they told me the next order I made would include a discount for the entire wrong pizza they sent me. That wasn't an option, nor did the online system make the adjustment for the most recent order. I blew up on the phone, because the person who was talking to me said "Um, I don't know" over and over again. There are MANY decent, reputable pizza places in the area, avoid this one or risk throwing away money. Oh, and the ambiance at this place feels like a cardboard imitation of a real pizzeria... chintzy and a little scary, and the parking sucks... OK, off my soapbox now.
