Visiting Detroit for a family party and my bro in law's coworker recommended coming to Miller's Bar to watch the college football game. As soon as we saw it we thought, hmm doesn't quite have a sports bar feel, more like a dive bar feel. But that's fine. We walked in and it wasn't crowded at all and they have a few TV's. Definitely not a sports bar but it was still quaint. Very clean inside and welcoming. The guy started telling us immediately about their famous burgers, what they are know for. We were sold. Decided to share a cheeseburger and some fries/onion rings and a drink. Seeing people walk in felt like they are regulars so definitely a "locals" joint. The waitress brought us pickles in a ziploc which was interesting. She said they don't put anything on the burger, we do it ourselves. There was mustard and ketchup on the table. When the burger came out, it was a massive patty! It was good, but nothing epic like we had our hopes for. But still, a great burger!

This place is fine. Burger was large and pretty good, about the same as you can make at home if you start with decent beef. Onion rings were good, fries were shoestring style and soggy. If you grew up coming here with your family I can understand thinking it's the best burger, I have places like that too that I love, but otherwise it's not worth driving here from Detroit for it. I guess it's also unique that they don't have menus, serve the burgers on wax paper, give you pickles in a ziplock baggie, and don't give you a check at the end. That is a kind of ambiance I guess.

I've been coming here for many years, I realized that I never left a review. We stopped by for lunch on Sunday, it was slow. We had a nice server and we just ordered some drinks, plus burger fries and onion rings. $58 for 2 mixed drinks, a pop, 2 cheeseburgers, a hamburger, an order of fries and onion rings. I don't come often because I think the burgers are overrated, but my friend was in the area and wanted to eat here. I was pleasantly surprised by the burger, they seemed larger than I remembered. Greasy in a good way, lots of cheese and they bring onions and pickles to top them. I thought the baggy of pickles was sort of weird, I remembered there were condiment containers on the tables before. Yummy shoestring fries and great breaded onion rings. I think I'll be back sooner than I would have normally come back.

Hamburger was large. No tomato or lettuce. Reminded me of a frozen burger. There were plenty of tasty onion rings in an order. Two people can probably split them. Large parking lot in the rear. As mentioned in other reviews, cash only. Average meal. Cost $39 for two before the tip.

Miller's magic this one you're either going to hate it or love it and my trip to Miller's I have to say I loved it. If you don't know you should know, you come to Miller's get the burger that comes on a piece of paper they'll ask you if you want or raw onion and pickles and they'll give you that. Get your burger cooked how you like it with or without cheese pretty much it. I slipped in sat up at the bar The place was kind of busy but I was by myself and there was room. The Bartender whose name I can't remember stopped right over got me a Miller lite, you could tell he'd been here a while and was very good. Got my beer came right back ordered my burger medium with cheese. Sat next to the grill and watch that magic happen, pulling the big patties out of the drawer slapping them on the flat top scooping them up dropping them on that paper. Magic, here comes my burger and yes I got the big fat slice of raw onion and a little bag of pickles. I went ahead and gave it a squirt of ketchup and mustard, little raw onion on it with them pickles and yes it was magic, that American cheese just melted all down it, it was very juicy, The pickles the mustard so good, and it was a pretty fat not sure if they're half pounders, but come on this burger is good. Constantly ranked at the top of the burger pile You've got to give it its props may not be life-changing but it's definitely juicy with no frills just a solid tasty burger. If you've never stopped at Miller's for the burger you've got to give it a try it's like stepping back in time, and you'll be treated to a damn good burger.

The building from the outside just looks like a block of cement but when you walk in the bar looks like a 50s bar. So the interesting things about this place: its Cash Only, they don't have menus, and the food is simple: Hamburger, Cheese burger and Chicken Sandwich, Fries and Onion Rings as sides. Also they go on the honor system, once you finish eating you go up to the bar and tell them what you ordered. It makes this place pretty cool, the vibe in here is very chill, quiet and calm. We ordered the Cheeseburger with pickles and onions and I had a side of OnionRings and the wife had the fries. That burger was AMAZING!! They don't use plates it comes out on a piece of paper along with the fries and onion rings, I am telling you, come here and get the cheeseburger and you will fall in love with this place. The vibe is great, the staff is very friendly and this place is just an all around great environment.

Excellent burger! We also ordered a tuna melt because we saw it recommended in online and that was ok too. But definitely get the BURGER? The service is ok, but you pay at the counter when you're finished. You just tell them what you had, there is no check. CASH ONLY! The interior is bar note club vibe. Family friendly so bring the kids.

October 25,2025...worst time ever....food was good, real good...service was horrible...Nasty rude terrible....bill was 50 bucks, waitress took my 60 bucks and never came back...not even a thank you.....will never go back....sorry to have bothered you...place has gone down hill....time was 2pm...talk to your staff because after eating here for the past 30 years.. i will never go back

I don't eat beef so had the chicken sandwich. Thick piece of chicken that was a little too greasy. I added an onion ring to it and yum! Our bartender was cool. Told us about the place. Another man working there talked too much. This place is such a dive! It's old but I don't think it should be updated because the decor is part of the experience. It's definitely is a one of a kind experience. They don't us plates. Everything comes out on wax paper. If you ask for onions or pickles, they bring them out in a plastic baggy.
