I decided to give them a try today. And let's just say I need to maybe try something else. The lobster mac n cheese wasn't quite what I thought. Too creamy but very tasty. The shrimp Alfredo egg rolls were a hit tho. And that spicy mayo was bomb. Thanks for good service

I stopped through here to try the lobster roll- my fiancé had seen the food truck on Yelp and we were happy to stop by while in Dearborn The lobster roll had large chunky pieces of lobster and inside it was shredded lobster- the bread was soft and buttery. I ordered the hot lobster roll and got a side of veggies and also a side of mayo- the veggies were squash and red pepper- they were delicious. They mentioned their food truck which will be in locations like St Clair shores, Detroit and Dearborn, will begin next week. Would 100% recommend- the service was great and food was delish.

I've been to the food truck before so this is my first time at the Pit Stop. My first thought was that this as a smaller store and you can strictly only get take out - i.e. "pitstop". I've already had the hot lobster roll from the food truck which was amazing so I was excited to try something new. The prices are definitely steep. I ordered a small lobster Mac and cheese and the crab and shrimp grilled cheese and it cost me almost $40. So I was a little caught off guard about that price. One thing I thought was strange was the cashier ordered my food wrong, I wanted the lobster Mac and cheese but she charged me for lobster bites so when I told her she told me she couldn't refund me the difference but would give me $5 instead since the manager wasn't there.. didn't like that, I was out $2 or $3 because of this. Overall the seafood was greasy and delicious, but get your cashier figured out because what happened to me was not okay and shouldn't happen to anyone else.

I love lobster rolls and I eat them all over the country. This has to be the worst. The price doesnt match the quality. There is tons of shells in the lobster from not processing correctly. The color is also off. Ill give them one more shot, hoping it was just a off daay, but from the reviews, I highly doubt it.

Yum, Yumm, Yummy!!!!! I was so excited to hear the Lobster Food Truck now has a brick and mortar location in Dearborn which recently opened. I'm in love with this Lobster Roll. It's served warm and smothered in butter. The meat is juicy and perfectly cooked. I was impressed with all the options on the menu. I've literally waited an hour or more standing in line for this roll! This is a very convenient option for people, but the food truck is still one of my favorites. The owner is a very cool guy and I'm excited to see his business taking off! If you haven't had a chance, these lobster rolls are a must try in my opinion.

Ive been ordering from this place prior to them opening up a store front and I definitely can say they are serving up some of the best lobster.The hot lobster roll is basted in the perfect amount of rosemary and butter, the lobster mac n cheese is super cheesy with chunks of lobster both on top and mixed inside, and the seafood pasta is just perfect. One thing I can't stress enough is make sure you order the fried lobster bites. They are hand dipped and fried to order with a homemade dipping sauce making it the perfect bite. As for prices, you get what you pay for. Chef Nick is serving the highest quality of seafood with the freshest ingredients as well. The portions are perfect and believe me you'll be more than satisfied. If your a seafood lover make sure not to miss out.

So, this was my first stop on my Detroit trip. My wife and I love seafood, and we were hungry from the drive, so we hit up Lobster Pit Stop. It's a carryout only restaurant and that was fine because we were hungry. Prices are a bit steep, but I don't mind playing for quality seafood. I ordered the half Lobster roll ($18) it also comes with fries. My wife got the seafood pasta. The customer service was good and the service was fast. They have a sign that states to check your food before you leave the establishment because they offer no refunds. I found that pretty interesting and kinda funny. Our orders were correct; however, the lobster roll was tiny. They give you a decent amount of meat, but the bun was mediocre at best. If I had to guess, it seems like it's equivalent to half of hotdog bun. The lobster had a decent flavor, but it did not come with mayo, and I love mayo on my lobster rolls. The fries were just okay, nothing spectacular; some of them seemed like they may have been refried because they were a little harder than others. My wife enjoyed her seafood pasta. I'd probably give them a 4 star if it came with mayo and the roll was bigger and came on a better bun. You can get a whole roll for 30 bucks, but I wasn't willing to pay that much. Lobster Roll 1-5=3.5. Fries 1-5=1.5. Customer Service 1-5=5.

The lobster rolls were salty and oily. Yuck. Large quantity of greasy fries came with the lobster rolls. The worst item we ordered was the lobster Mac and cheese. It was a goopy mess of slop; no flavor except for salt. This food was an expensive waste of money.

The lobster roll prices are certifiably insane. 45 dollars for a half pound of overly seasoned, average lobster (deconstructed at that) is a joke. I guess suckers are born everyday. Anyone who has had a real lobster roll, with fresh, tasty lobster wouldn't step foot in this place.
