Every single time I called this place nobody answers. I understand they close at nine and I'm calling 30 minutes before they close but nobody answers the phone and they act oblivious to the phone. I even tried to order while I was in the car and I watched them ignore the phone. The second time I came up here and drove all the way from the east side to order a smoothie I walked in. They seemed so unhappy and unpleased I'm so disappointed

I wish I could give less than a one star review but that's as low as it will let me go. I was so offended going here today that I had to download yelp just to review this place. I walked in this evening and ordered a smoothie and as I was waiting for my order the manager started yelling at one of the employees until she was brought to tears. I purposely stayed in a little longer today to try and catch the manager name and heard it was Diamond. I can understand having a bad day and getting mad, I worked in a kitchen before, it happens, but every time I go in this manager is giving her employees sarcastic responses and bringing them down, this just seems like a classic case of someone having a position go right to their head. From witnessing this work place harassment I can only imagine what she must put her employees through, no wonder they always seem understaffed, no one wants to work with that manager! Tropical is a chain, how come no one above her has removed her by now, how can you run a business with someone like that at the helm, especially a small cafe! Needless to say, there are plenty of other tropicals around the area and would even recommend the one on Woodward in Detroit as a much better alternative, it's clear after going to both locations the true affect that one manager can have on their employees.

I have no complaints about this location. I've been here a few times for wraps and smoothies, and it's been fresh and fast with friendly service. It's even faster if you order online. Normally, I make my own smoothies and such, but I love TSC for being a healthy fast option in a sea of fatty fast food. Thanks for coming to my vegan rescue!

I had a horrible experience at this location, the person who was serving me had a name tag named Hanna. She had massive attitude and snarky looks as she was handing me my smoothie.. she seemed like she hated her job and wasn't even trying to be remotely friendly. Not only was that an issue but afterwards she walked to the corner and started taking to coworkers and looking at me as if she was talking terrible about me. Worst customer service ever.

I absolutely love this menu... HOWEVER this is the 2nd time in the past week I have come there at lunchtime and our drinks are completely watered down.. I pay extra for additives such as protein and I watch them pour half of it out.. so if my extra charge is for 20grams of protein and they mix so much ice that they pour our a third of it , what am I actually paying for?? Ask for light ice or you will be extremely disappointed as we all are sitting here at work drinking our fruit flavored ice water

I try to only leave positive reviews but I've ordered here probably 8-10 times and their smoothies are never right. I frequent the one on Ford rd and one in northville and this is the only one that never tastes sweet. Literally always sour, and if I ask for Splenda its super sour and bland. The food is always good from here though just not sure why they can't get a jetty punch right. I hope it gets better but I've tried multiple times in the past year and no luck.

Out of several locations I have been to in multiple states this is the worst. I have been here twice and each time my experience is poor. I was told yesterday that my sugar level could not be further customized. When I said every other location in MI and out of state where I have been will do the customized sugar level for me, I was told we will see what we can do and my smoothie was not customized to my specification. Scooping up half of your half measuring spoon is not difficult. Half sugar is far too sweet for my tastebuds. I doubt TS would like to loose customers over a simple modification such as this. My first time going to this location was horrendous but TS did compensate me for that experience; which I was not expecting. This time around, I am resolved to not going to this particular location again in lieu of formally submitting a complaint to TS. The Dearborn Heights location will be my go-to when I need to grab a smoothie when I am in Dearborn. 'Tis a shame.
