I love to visit the Monroe location! Javion & Jacob are the absolute best! No matter the time of day I visit, I am greeted with warm welcomes and amazing service! They are helpful and patient and always so kind! O and the food never misses! They always welcome you with warm hellos whenever you walk in and the vibe is always really chill, which is appreciated in the hustle and bustle of its downtown neighborhood. Nice enough and fast. However, I got a #12 Beach Club and they left out the turkey... to say I'm disappointed is the accurate state since now it's a cucumber, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and avocado spread sandwich.

Fastest meal I found while I was here. Always went with the gourmet veggie with extra sprouts. This worked well since while here I usually had a time crunch for food. Not extravagant but not paying much and getting food quickly certainly helped quite a bit. That and Subway seemed to be closed from time to time, and was not dependable in this respect.

They first made my sandwich wrong. When I wrote in, the response I got was sibpar. Basically told me to check before I leave. I grabbed it on the go from 1 job to another. Then I ended up getting e coli last week from them. I complained and no one responded about the public health concern. Come to find out, it was all over the news, but no one can respond about what will be done to rectify the stores action. Definitely don't care about their customers.

I went into Jimmy Johns on a hot Monday afternoon on Monroe to grab some lunch. I normally don't do Jimmy John's I personally perfer Jersey Mike's but it was really hot out and this was the closest place. When I walked in, there were 3 employees on shift, the girl behind the counter, the sandwich maker who left me a nice surprise we'll discuss later, and another guy I believe who was the delivery driver, sleeping with his head on one of the dining room tables. It's been a while since visiting Jimmy John's so I wasn't sure what to order, the menu had changed alot and there were too many options it reminded me of Subway but I decided on the #11 Country Club ham, turkey, provolone, I asked for hot peppers and passed on the combo chips and drink since I'm trying to be health conscious. I placed my order, paid with a credit card and within a minute, freaky fast service, my sub was ready and I was on my way. When I got back to work, I got busy so I wasn't able to have my sandwich, and hadn't eaten anything all day so by the time I was able to eat, my stomach was growling from hunger. When I finally went in on my #11 Country Club, I devoured the first half. Normally when I'm this hungry, I would never do this but as an instinctual measure of quality control, I opened up my #11 Country Club to check the second half of the sub and I immediately noticed that the sandwich maker left me a garnishment I didn't ask for. But this garnishment wasn't what you would expect such as relish or maybe even onions, this garnishment was a black curly hair that looked like it originated from the sandwich maker's below the waist. Now this isn't the first time I've experienced a hair in my food, and I wasn't expecting anything less from a 2 star restaurant. When I saw the black curly pressed up against the white turkey, I downed my entire 16oz bottle of water out of pure disgust, closed and threw away the half eaten Country Club in the trash next to my desk. After telling my co-workers about my experience, they encouraged me to go get my money back, cause I damn sure wasn't going to want to ever eat there again. I decided to call the restaurant and speak to a manager, I was told the Manager wasn't available, and instructed to call back after 10 minutes. I decided to stop into the restaurant around 5pm when I left work. When I walked in, the girl that took my original order was on the slicer, slicing a huge log of salami. I asked to speak to her and she walked over and had no clue who I was, she didn't remember we spoke a few hours prior. As a courtesy since there were other patrons present, I explained to her in a low tone my situation and showed her a photo of the black curly. She asked me to hang on a sec, while she walked over to her cell phone and began to call her Manager. She told me I needed to bring the receipt I since I already threw away my receipt, she asked me to bring the half eaten sub back. But she was right, you can't just ask for an $8 refund with no receipt! However, had I asked for a cash refund with no receipt I can understand, but I simply asked for the $8 to be placed back on my credit card that I used to buy the sub. Regardless of the supporting evidence, she couldn't do anything unless I had the receipt or the sub, since I already left work I didn't feel like going to back my office and scrimmaging through my trash just to pull out the half eaten wilted and soggy sub. But this was about the principal, I decided to go back to my office scrimmage through the trash and bring back the half eaten sub, when I came back with the half eaten sub, she was in absolute disbelief, the look on her face was priceless she couldn't believe I was able to produce the half eaten wilted slop! She immediately told me that I had eaten too much of the sub and I began to explain to her that I only ate half of it! But I thought for sure I would be able to get my refund since I was instructed to bring back and produce evidence of the black curly, but NOPE! She walked to her cell phone once again, and called her Manager and told me to wait only 2 minutes because he was at the other store down the street. I waited for about 10 minutes, and still NO Manager. I though about it and said to myself "Paul what the heck are you doing? The guy thinks you're trying to scam Jimmy John's for $8, and using a half eaten sub with a black curly as proof of evidence, you stand no chance! Just save yourself the embarrassment". So I decided to just go home and share my experience with the good folks of Yelp. I'm not the type of guy to tell people where to go BUT, If you do decide to eat at this Jimmy John's on Monroe, and find a black curly in your sub, don't say I never warned you...
