This is a pretty good establishment. It's not a hood bar, what you would expect to be a hood bar. It has a lot of space and a lot of area in it that you can sit at and drink at. Even has places so that you can do events. From what it looks like. There's an upstairs as well so just keep that in mind. The drinks here are really done special, they're okay, but you'll get a good environment when you go. If it's a nice day, you can go ahead and hang out there and they can open the garage door so you can get a good breeze. They have a DJ a lot of times so you can actually get your hustle on if you are trying to get on the dance floor. Last time I went ahead free entry so you don't have to worry about trying to pay to get in so you can just walk in, kick it and walk out. And come back if you want to! Therapist was okay. Nothing great, but it wasn't terrible. One of the bartenders made me wait a little long than I would have liked to when she really wasn't doing anything but it is what it is. I totally get it. But once I got the drink and got that together, it was okay. Overall, I mean, I don't have any complaints. I thought that it was a good time. The music was good. The DJ was playing some nice music and the MC for the night was a little bit of annoying but he was entertaining. I will go back.

Like they had been sitting while the other foods were being prepared. I mentioned this to multiple staff members and I was only offered to put the food in the microwave. The first batch of bread we got was so hard. We did get a fresh batch that was 10x better but that first batch was traumatizing.

A friend of mine arranged a group event for the ladies to get together to attend Trap Bingo Brunch here. I had yet to have an opportunity to go here so I was really looking forward to it. The flyer indicates that doors open at 10:30 for an eleven o'clock start time. The vestibule quickly filled with other attendees and we began to wonder what the delay was. A gentleman introduced himself as Eugene to the crowd and advised that doors actually open at 11 to allow time for the catered food to be brought in and set up. This allows for a smooth experience once guests enter. He indicated that brunch was an additional $20, payable at the time of check-in. After a short time, he came back and we were allowed into the lobby area. There were a few tables set up in the area while we waited for staff to check-in. When checking in and adding the brunch option, I was told $39.31 for my total. Having already paid $5 for the bingo entry, I was confused as to how the $20 price seemed to double. There wasn't a sufficient reasoning offered and given we would be there until 3PM, I opted to pay it. In reviewing my receipt, the charge was $31.20 plus tax AND 20% gratuity added. After checking in we were still held to the lobby area as preference for seating was given to those who had reserved tables to enter first. Once we were able to enter the space and get seated. We learned that there were lines you had to get into to order drinks, so there were no servers. It was after 12 o'clock before we were able to line up for brunch. The narrow hallway we were in was serving multiple purposes. There was a line in the opposite direction leading to a bartender, staff was traveling down the middle of the same hallway to replenish food and those who had their plates also had to travel down the center to get back to their seats. Plates were piled high and food looked delicious. By the time I reached the front of the line, there were only two people serving the food. There were a few options people from my party received that were no longer available. Not surprising given the number of plates I'd seen that had huge portions of items on them. The trap music played during all of this kept the mood light despite the disappointment of how things were going. Bingo only accounted for the last hour or so of the event and was R&B songs not trap. Each person was only provided one board. Some of our party decided to leave so a couple of us ended up with two boards which was the amount we anticipated receiving for the $5 charge. It was never shared what the prize was for winning bingo. Overall the experience was lackluster for me. The food from what I could tell was decent. I had gravy and rice as they had had run out of the turkey meat and shrimp they had for shrimp and grits but they were out of grits. There was acknowledgment on their end that the event experience wasn't up to par. Complimentary tickets to the comedy show later that evening were offered to some patrons. I opted to get one in hopes of a better experience. The check-in experience was much better. Staff never reached our table for us to make any food or beverage purchases. Comedian's performance was phenomenal. After the show, we went over to Day Day's for the after party. We were hungry since we hadn't eaten since earlier. Only bar menu items were available. After waving down a staff member we were told that we needed to go to the bar to order. Fortunately, one of the servers came by a few minutes later and asked if we wanted to order anything. We all got orders of salmon sliders. The portion was ample and the sliders and fries were flavorful. I've heard so many great things about this place so to have experienced all this in one day was extremely disappointing.

This is just an event review - we just ordered drinks from the bar kiosk and headed in to the auditorium for a comedy show - the 2 headliners were actually very funny and had us all laughing, and the host was pretty good. They did shove in a weird fashion show type of thing in between, but it was good for a couple of jokes for the next comedian. They did a really nice job of working the crowd. This venue is perfect for comedy. Small but not too small - tables and an area for more regular theater style seating. You can see and hear very well from everywhere. The bar side of the venue looked like fun, but we didn't go over there this time. The bartenders were very friendly and the alcohol was measured out in front of us from the bottle. The food looked good, but they stopped serving a half hour before the show started - that seemed premature to me. Like, people would have kept going back to get food I think, or it would be great if they had food runners that would bring it to your table once you ordered, or better yet, some type of online ordering system. The tables are numbered, so I thought that was the plan, but apparently people had to wait in line and bring it in themselves. Also, one of the guys in my group waited for like 30 minutes in line, only to be told once he got to the front that they were no longer serving. I feel like they could have let people know as they got in line. Not great logistics there. Overall, a really good time though with lots of parking right next door in the Z lot; we'd for sure return. Very funny comedians.

Came here for a friend's birthday party on Sunday. They have brunch from 12-5pm and it's pretty tasty! There is street and garage parking conveniently located so you won't have a far walk. Also, there are lots of games to ensure you have a fun time with friends and family!

I came here for the St. Patty's day party! The venue was a lot bigger than I expected it to be. Though I was told tables were moved around so I'm not sure what the setup is on a regular day. The crowd was a mixture I would say. Everyone was having a great time I didn't get any food so I'm not sure how that is! I did order drinks! Unfortunately they don't have Remy VSOP, only 1738. The beer options weren't the best if you're a beer drinker. The customer service was meh. The bartenders were attentive and doing the best they could with what they had. The manager Kecia was not as nice, accommodating and down right rude. I would like to return but if the manger is nasty, I can only imagine what it may be like on a regular night. Disappointed with the service from the manger, everything else was okay. There's street parking fyi!

We had so much fun! This spot is NICE. It would be a great venue to host a party, have a ladies night, go out with friends, or get a drink after work. Last night was date night. My husband and I had dinner at Day Days. The food was delicious. I don't eat meat so I had the fried green tomatoes and yams. The tomatoes were golden and crispy. They were perfectly seasoned and came with a cheese sauce. YUM. The yams were buttery and sweet. I wanted to lick the bowl. My husband does eat meat and he got the lamb chops, which came with two sides. He chose the asparagus and the rice and gravy. He said they had a lot of meat, were a little sweet, and sooo good. He cleaned his plate. I sampled his asparagus, which I will be getting next time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They felt like family. This is no exaggeration. The fast service came with smiles and laughs. The bartender brought our drink to the table. We felt like regulars, which we will be. One Mike gets a 10/10. Top tier

We, myself n 2 of my granddaughters came here for a well deserved brunch! We got here at 11am for a scheduled start time per our reservation/tickets and One Mike wasn't even open let alone ready to serve us BUT....if it wasn't for our server Brooke, we'd probably still be standing outside in the cold but she was able to get us and another group of people in and seated til they could get things settled for us! We got seated pretty quickly and served with food options quickly! The food was excellent n plentiful! We ordered the Grilled Salmon w/potatoes, n scrambled eggs , Grilled Salmon w/ Fried Cabbage w/ Andouille Sausage n also the Fried Catfish w/turkey sausage n Grits! The food was excellent except my granddaughter didn't like the Turkey Sausage (said it had a funny taste) but the place had a vibe all its own!! The live DJ was great, he had the place lit with a lil ole school and new school!! We also enjoyed the flight of margaritas (it should have been Mimosas but wasn't) but it was good non the less! Our server Brooke was EXCELLENT, she was very attentive, and accommodating and very nice!! Loved her energy!! Will definitely be back and it also included the Soul Train Scrabble Board!! Wonderful

I dragged my family out to a comedy show because the host is funny. That held true, but overall was a sad comedy of errors at the venue. The bar section- I would never ever order a drink from this establishment if I'm not at the bar watching it being made. A better cocktail is around the corner at Standby. Same pricing, better vibe and amazing service. Back to One Mike. I ordered a KTFO drink of the specify menu which included Midori and Botanist Gin to name a few. I look over and the bartender is using well liquor equivalent for the Midori. I said something and she tries to explain it's all melon liquor. I understand that, but it's like getting well when you ordered well anything name brand for example. I didn't get it as they didn't have all the liquor listed. So that was a wasted drink made. They must hire anybody to bartend which is another fail on the bar manager because anyone knows that well and brand are different. The bill was not itemized and when asked for it she gave a customized bill which just had the amount. That's sketchy in my opinion and bad business. They also have an automatic 20% service fee on all checks. That is likely why service was subpar at the bar area. DJ played nice music. Comedy: attended a 8pm Thursday show. It did not start on time and was over 30 minutes late. The room was beautifully laid out. Air conditioning was going and they had a nice sound system. Limited food menu was offered. Catfish and fries were $16 and pretty much the size of an appetizer and not a meal. We had 5 catfish bites and fries. I couldn't understand how tartar sauce not come with fish. We waited 10+ mins after food was brought over to get tartar sauce. Staff went to clear tables for a while before bringing it back. Food was cold by then. Parking: street if you can find a spot. Close to Z Lot parking garage, which was $10 when I attended. Pricing is subject to change based on events. Would I go back? Probably 99% not. Maybe in a year to see if it is better. It's a nice looking place with a bar section, restaurant area and comedy venue but service matters the most for me. If I'm paying 20% service fees then at least give me what I pay for and not require me to not trust the order. I had high hopes, but was let down. Disappointing start to entry in Detroit. Operations needs work and a good consultant to avoid this turning into a Starters.

Father's Day 2025 Visit to One Mike - A Mixed Experience We visited One Mike for the first time on Father's Day 2025, and while there were some positives, a few noticeable issues detracted from the overall experience. On the upside, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming, thanks in large part to the other patrons, who contributed to an energetic and enjoyable environment. The venue has real potential as a go-to spot for live entertainment and community connection. That said, there were several areas that need attention. In addition to not having a menu, the tablecloths were visibly stained, which gave a poor first impression. Additionally, the dust buildup on the exposed HVAC piping was quite noticeable and distracting -- a small detail that made a big difference in how clean and maintained the space felt. Service was another area of concern. Our food arrived about 15 minutes before any drinks -- including water -- which created a bit of an awkward dining experience. The lighting also seemed off, staying overly bright until near the end of the show, which affected the ambiance. Finally, a few bugs flying around the lights raised some hygiene concerns. With some improvements in cleanliness, service timing, and ambiance control, One Mike could truly shine. We'd love to see it live up to its full potential and hope future visits reflect a more polished experience.
