We were in the area for a wedding rehearsal party and stumbled upon this hidden gem in the city. And as you can get a glimpse of from the video, we had a blast!! We made multiple song requests and sang our hearts out with the live piano in the background. The drinks were also good; we had a few before getting on stage (as you can also see in the video). Either way, you should grab some friends and go have a great night out at this live music karaoke bar.

Had a decent time here during our girls trip. The drinks were good, but there was a Bachelorette party that hogged the mics the whole time so we were only able to get two or three songs in, then we were asked to leave because our reserved time block was up. They also reminded us that there was a $15 minimum spend (basically 1 drink per person) which confused us because we had some people in our group that ordered 2 drinks to cover for those that didn't want to purchase alcohol. The pianist was fun and knew a whole range of songs, from classics to new pop, so that was cool! You submit your request virtually, so you can see how far down the line you are. Overall an okay experience.

This place is great, aside from having a blast in the karaoke room, the bar is also killer. Our bartenders Steven and Collin were a lot of fun.

This is a hidden gem in Detroit, located behind The Siren Hotel. It's also our second time at this establishment. The place is super cool, the bartender 'Wolf' makes an awesome Bourbon Mule. His service and our time there was exceptional. The next time we are near the area, we will be back.

Doris approved 4.8 Sid Gold's Request Room is tucked away in an alley off John R. You wouldn't know what it was unless someone told you but it's a beautiful classy, hip, piano karaoke and lounge bar. My favorite drink here is a hot toddy believe it or not. It's fun for an after work cool thing with co worker or even better for a group friends night out. With Sid Gold's mood lighting... a perfect place for a date! Oh! parking is street or lot parking. Around tons to do within walking distance! Have fun and enjoy yourself! Highly recommend!

NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN My girl was here last night with a big group of her friends. After two drinks she had to be driven home, she was obviously drugged this is not something that has EVER happened. Bartender working name was Karen, brown hair, mom bod, not sure who was serving tables but BEWARE NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN

Overall, this place is a fun time. The bouncer does seem to have a stick up his you-know-where, and made us wait even though we had a reservation. Maybe they were cleaning the table? I don't know -- they could've definitely shared some info. on why we were waiting, but didn't. Inside, it's a fun party vibe. The piano guy does a great job at keeping the mood high and at making everyone sound like a better singer than they are. They could definitely have a better system for lyrics than the awkward scrolling on an iPad during a song, though. Service was a bit on a slow side and the wine list was honestly really bad -- a bunch of grocery store wines marked up at 300%+ over retail. They also kept reminding us about the 2-hour limit, which was tacky and annoying... "yes, we know we only have 45 minutes left" ... "yep, got it, 30 minutes"... "omg yes we know we have to leave soon!" If I was rating just the karaoke part, I'd give it 4 stars, but the rest of the staff made it a less satisfying experience.

We had reservations at 845 arrived at 830. They started at 915. The hostess, Donny, asked my aunt and uncle to leave because their "reservation had expired" at 10:30. We were altogether and one person had just been served a drink and everyone in our group hadn't done karaoke. I watched and Donny asked no one else to leave. She said the website said the reservations were for 2 hours and we had a party of 6. It was very embarrassing. The place wasn't even full. I loved the pianist. But because of Donny, I will never return here.

Loooooooved it! We had so much fun & were amazed by the list of songs! The crowd was fun. The piano player was so talented. The service was good...and they even had a decent Chardonnay ;) I will definitely go back!

Our server was super rude and made the experience much worse for my girlfriend's birthday this last Friday. Stefan the Pianist was very charming and fun, but whoever the woman who served us was made it challenging to enjoy these things. When I asked about some confusion with tabs, she was super rude about it and tried to imply that people were sneaking over to our table and that we had too many people, despite the reservation being under my name and card. When I asked if I could pay at the bar, she told me that would be "defeat the purpose of a server" when I was just trying to figure out how I could pay for my girlfriend's drink. She was very rude again and condescending when my girlfriend asked for a water cup, and then never ended up bringing any cups. She then promptly rushed us out with little warning and cut our night short despite us continuing to tip and pay. I know this might sound like a "drunk people behavior complaint" but several people in our party had no alcohol and were still disrespected. It did a lot of damage to a really special night and I don't think we will be coming back here if this is how the staff treats their customers.
