Takeout was okay nothing special, I kinda expected better quality Galbi by how many people raved about it. It was tough n chewy (overcooked--you need to cook on high heat but quickly so that it melts in your mouth) and overly sweet (need to balance out marinade) compared to my eomeonim's which I usually compare Galbi recipes to. While fat is the flavour you look for, a great galbi is not greasy like this was. The fat definitely was not rendered correctly. A lot of random Asian fusion going on so it can be confusing. . . Lo Mein was decent and will be something I will crave when I want a cheat meal. Overall, it's a nice takeout choice if you don't want to cook/if you're looking for a filling, time-to-pig-out meal --but if your goal is for quality korean I'd opt for something else.

I went here with a group of 6, and the service and staff were great and came back to fill waters and were friendly. I got the chicken teriyaki and the Beef Tangsuyuk, the chicken teriyaki was great and tasted really good and stayed hot, I thought it tasted similar to their bulgogi, the portions are pretty well sized so one main can fill you, I was just hungry at that time. Overall great food and restaurant and will be coming back most likely

So there is a parking structure right behind the restaurant and an entrance in the back. Which is great because usually that area is not accessible for parking. The inside of the restaurant is small but very cute inside. The decor is very lovely and the intimate setting is nice. The service was pretty quick and the waiter we had was very nice and attentive. Next the portion sizes were very generous! I would say one serving can easily be split between two people. We got the lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were great. Very filling and we could not finish them all. I got the beef and potato stir fry which was okay but nothing. Too special. The pad Thai my friend got was pretty good I would def order that dish next time!

Charlie Kang's has some of the fastest service and friendliest servers ever! I've tried so many things on the menu. Some of my favorites include the pork egg rolls, Moo Shu Pork, and the Mongolian beef (spicy). I love the crispy rice noodles that the Mongolian beef comes on top of! There is a calm ambiance with spacious booths and a cool fish tank.

It was decent. It was my favorite Asian food place 20 years ago when I attended MSU so I figured I'd still love it. It was good but I think my tastes have simply changed over the years and I've found other places that are comparable or I like better. I ordered the chicken fried rice and shrimp spring rolls. They were ok. I did takeout but the staff was pleasant and the food came up fast.

I will never order from this place again! The kimchi rice has very little flavor but is masked with spice. The rice is spicy, which I like but has very little flavor. The Mongolian beef was ok but was served with extremely mushy rice. Honestly the food tasted like is was cooked a day or two ago and reheated. It definitely was not fresh.

Always a great experience at Charlie Kangs! I prefer to eat in restaurant, but even take out is great! Love the ambiance and the food is absolutely one of the best Chinese places in the Lansing area

Service was awesome. There were 4 of us and we all liked our meals. I had the pad Thai with shrimp extra spicy. It was the perfect heat! Portions were large. We will return!

We dined on a Friday about 6:30pm. There is no instructions at the door, no wait stand or hostess. We asked a server if we just seat ourselves, they said yes, so we sat for about 5 minutes before being greeted. Server came and we placed our entire order. Two beverages- both sodas were flat and I got a lime instead of the lemon I ordered; an order of pork egg rolls- very tasty; an order of crab butterflies- their take on Rangoon's which had me wondering were the crab was; and an order of kung po chicken- the sauce was flavorful however there was a lack of chicken that seemed to be substituted with diced green and red peppers, neither are my favorite and are an odd addition to the dish. I did also order a cup of hot and sour soup but it never arrived so I asked the server to remove it from the bill. Overall a bummer visit and not worth a repeat performance. Another server who did not write down the order and got it wrong, again.
