I visit Grosse Pointe only once or twice each year. Side street is always a must visit place! I am never disappointed here. The lemonade is tasty, and the Mac And cheese dinner With house salad is delicious! I love their homemade ranch dressing. The service is always great as is the ambience and variety of decorations. Keep up the lovely work, what a great spot!

One of our favorite neighborhood spots in the village. Lots of parking. Cute outdoor patio. Super friendly service. Great coffee with "Grandpa Cups" (Just like the one my Grandpa had his morning coffee in ) Love their Eggs Benedict...the hollandaise sauce is fantastic & the generous fresh fruit side makes this satisfying breakfast even better. Oh! & don't forget to try their homemade cakes. I love the yellow cake with butterscotch frosting If you haven't tried SideStreet, you're missing out. Lots of Detroit themed art & memorabilia adorns the walls.

Food, service, atmosphere.. all of it. We had the grilled Buba Salmon wrap and Chicken Chipotle wrap. Warm flavorful and filling! Came with a pickle and your choice of pasta salad or coleslaw. Waitress was wonderful. Always great and consistent with fair prices! Easy parking lot right next to the restaurant. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner all day. Wonderful place!

One of our go to diners in the area. The food is always delicious and they have great homemade soups and chili which is comforting with the cold weather. The ambiance of the diner is very homey, artsy, and fun! We love how the children's menu "art" changes with the season. The service Is always extremely fast and friendly. They treat you like family! My go to is the turkey dinner but honestly I've never had a bad meal there. Highly recommend!

Amazing! The cranberry walnut bread is the best I've ever had. It has all the flavors that compliments the chicken salad. I typically ask for slightly toasted and add lettuce. I'm not even a fan of nuts in my food lol. But this is worth every penny.

I went to Side Street Diner with a friend in the early afternoon on a weekday recently. We grabbed a booth in the back, and it was really noisy with patrons, crying toddlers and bus people slinging pots, pans, dishes and silverware. The server was kind and friendly, but harried. I asked for water with no ice. Received a glass with nearly all ice and no water. One of the soups of the day was Chicken Noodle though. It was delicious and comfy hot on this blustery day. My Reuben Melt was basically a grilled Reuben sandwich. The difference was not discernible. The sauerkraut was bland the the grilled bread was greasy. I asked for the coleslaw side and that was very tasty. All in all, i guess the place is OK, but i do not recommend it when it's busy.

Side Street Diner is one of this area's top comfort food locations! For one, the staff is killing it. They are on time like the hands of a clock and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. The place houses an exceptionally chill vibe with a calm, soothing, and you're about to get fat atmosphere on some damn fine food. The meatloaf & old school Patty melt are my go-to staples. They always have fresh cakes that melt in your mouth like butter on a hot biscuit!!! Soups are all terrific for when you're there, and the weather is chilly. I've been back many times for breakfast/brunch since my initial review and the service and food has been consistent. I tend to order egg dishes (mostly omelettes) and have never been disappointed. The Peasant, Western, and Country omelettes are my favorites. I also enjoy the corned beef hash and the Eggs Benedict. The portions are well-sized and the service is friendly. As noted previously, however, it is not a large place, so you may have to wait at peak times.
