My husband, my father and I went for dinner at the Thompson House last night. We were warned that the oven was not working and the cottage pies would take some time. We were fine with that. 2 hours later we asked for our bill and went elsewhere for dinner. The really sad part was the attitude of the bartender last night. We suggested that they give us a free drink while we waited. We spent 125.51 on drinks. The waitress was very gracious but told us that the manager who never showed his face once said we could have a free dessert. We are fully capable of paying for our entire meal should it happen to be presented in a timely manner or with some amount of grace. I did not get the bartender's name but she is not a great example for your staff nor your customers. She seemed like she was doing us a favour and had an attitude all night.

First time here since moving back to Windsor back in October. My boyfriend's dad came down for the weekend and they wanted a place to eat out with a good beer selection and me, being from here, made the decision to come to this place, which I haven't been to since it opened back in 2015. We walked in and the server came up and let us know we could sit anywhere, we chose the patio, because it was a nice cool evening. We were immediately given menus to browse through. They're like an Irish style kind of pub with a good selection of beers on tap. My boyfriend and his dad both chose the Harp Lager, I chose a diet pepsi, I don't drink beer. We browsed the menu and we started with the Beer Battered Pickles and the Crispy Mozzarella and for our main entree's I chose the Panko Chicken Club and my boyfriend and his dad both got the fish & chips. Not long after we ordered our appetizers came out hot! The Crispy Mozzarella sticks were amazing and the beer battered pickles were crunchy with a crisp, and came with a horseradish type dipping sauce while the mozzarella sticks came with ranch and marinara. Our meals came not too long after that. I had ordered a side Caesar salad with mine instead of fries and the salad was delicious, the only thing I didn't like were the capers, and my sandwich was huge, crispy and delicious I saved half for tomorrow. I was told the fish & chips were delicious, with a house made tartar sauce, and the fries were crispy. Overall experience was great, our server was great, checked up on us asked us how our meal was, if we needed anything, and after we were done asked us if we wanted more beer or dessert, which we kindly declined; we were full. The patio was cool, and inside when we were leaving they were getting ready to play live music. I'll be coming back here as this restaurant is also close to home!

Went here for Sunday night dinner. Happy that TH is one of few places in Windsor open late night Sunday for dinner. Our waitress Katelyn was awesome haven't seen a waitress take orders without writing them down in a long time. My friends enjoyed the fish tacos and the fish and chips. The TH burger had a bit too much going on and didn't exactly all fit. However, DIRTY BURGER was amazing. Cheese was spectacular combined with the crunch of the onion rings and the heat of the jalapeño chutney. Definitely recommend. The fries were solid and prob better than onion rings here. Feel free to add a fried egg on your burger for 90 cents.

First time trying out this restaurant. It's really nice inside, and atmosphere is good. There was live music playing, wish I got his name. We order a Caesar drink and peach palmer. Both drinks were fantastic, especially the Palmer. Food wise, I will have to give it one less star. We ordered the cottage pie and it was cold in the middle. Overall, taste was still good. Service was amazing. I will definitely come back for more drinks and try out the rest of the menu.

Came here for a birthday party. We got great service and everything we got, everyone likes their meal. They don't have a large menu, but the things they do have are really good! Definitely will come back here again!

Awesome service, fantastic patio. The manager (Nicole I think her name was) was extremely accommodating and made sure our needs were met. The food was great, drinks were made quickly, and we had a great time. I will be back!

Beautiful restaurant/pub, brand new and spotlessly clean. Super friendly and fun server and bartender, attentive service and everybody seemed to enjoy being there- when employees hate being there it shows and impacts the experience of the customer. Our server recommended the feature burger called the Cheesus. Absolutely ridiculous burger: house made cheese sauce, real cheese curds, onion rings and house made burger sauce on a hand packed 8 oz patty. It was awesome. My wife had the panko chicken sandwich, also excellent. The food we ordered was clearly house made- no processed chicken or frozen manufactured patties. Price? Not cheap, but I don't mind paying a small premium for properly prepared quality food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. I suppose I could have saved maybe $5 on the bill if I went to Applebee's and ordered something that they could microwave or boil in bag. My only criticism is something another reviewer mentioned- when you enter there is no hostess stand or line of sight to the bar, so we had to wander around a bit to get somebody's attention. Once that happened, though, we were greeted warmly and everything was awesome from there. We'll be back, and we'll bring friends!

Ate here at prime dinner hour with two friends and were seated right away (granted, it was a thursday). Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with a lot of cool touches...overall, we really liked the feel and atmosphere. The menu is somewhat limited, but in a way that I like--a good variety of choice, without being your overwhelming decision for the day. I really liked the combination of classic British foods and other more modern bar fare like nachos and tacos and that kind of thing. We had the fried pickles to start, which are beer battered and REALLY good. They're done in spears instead of coins, which I much prefer. One of my friends had the bangers and mash, which was quite good and managed to avoid being excessively bland like some versions I've tried. The other had the shepherd's pie, which was a very big portion and good too (so he says--I didn't try it). I had a reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries on the side, which was both really good, and the reason I'm deducting a star from this rating. The fries were great--nothing bad to say there. The sandwich was a $2 upgrade from just a corned beef sandwich, and I wonder if maybe the kitchen made the standard by mistake. Don't get me wrong--it was very good. The corned beef was nice and meaty, without tons of fat or gristle like you sometimes find in corned beef, and it had cheese and stone ground mustard. The marble rye was toasted but not grilled, so it wasn't super greasy (a plus for me) and overall it was a good sandwich...I just wouldn't necessarily call it a classic reuben. The service we found quick and friendly, and they brought us a split cheque without even being asked, which I always like. I always find it bizarre that a server would assume that an obviously mixed table would be all on one bill. Personal pet peeve, I guess. :) Bottom line--all three of us agreed that we'd definitely eat here again. Food was great, atmosphere is great, and it's nice to reclaim a bit of the British that the Kildaire let go.

One of my two go spots when I come visit my mom! I have nothing but positive My waitress I wish I remember her name she was absolutely super. Her service and everything was great! I remember she has tattoos and she's definitely number one in my books she knows how to hold a conversation she knows how to speak to her customers and I respect the fact that she let us go through the back door because my mom had a walker! Total respect for everything.....
