I had a similar experience as another reviewer. I booked Fill'Em Up for our HOA back in April. Paid a booking fee of $170.88 through Square. They were supposed to serve our neighborhood on 9/24, but at the end of August, I realized that their Facebook business page was completely gone (we had been communicating through FB). I had an email address and phone number on the invoice, so I reached out that way. I got a response from Marcella the next day asking when I needed them to come out, which was concerning since they should already have this information. I provided it and was told that the Fill'Em Up truck had been in an accident, but would be back in October (I find this hard to believe because she completely deleted their business page and the business is no longer listed on the BBB website). In the meantime, she was going to have her sister's truck, Jadabay's, come in her place. She said the minimum would be the same ($550) and the menu would be similar (it was very large). I started talking to Jadabay's owner, Janice. Janice was nice and more responsive, but told me her minimum was much higher. Our HOA won't agree to more than $600 and although she didn't seem happy about it, Janice agreed. Then she emailed me a contract and the menu, which had only 4 items and a kids meal. I asked her if we could get more items added and she told me with a minimum of $600, 5 items was plenty. I asked if the booking fee would transfer to her and she said no, I would need to get my $170.88 refunded from Marcella. I texted Marcella and didn't get a response for 3 days. I asked Janice if she could help and she didn't seem interested, simply saying "I haven't talked to her." I decided not to sign the contract with Jadabay's unless I got my refund. The entire thing left me feeling uneasy. I then followed up with Marcella via text and email again. Marcella's communication has been touch and go, but she appears to have been lying for weeks about returning my money. She never responded to another text or my emails, but I finally tracked her down through her personal FB page. She told me on 9/8 she would return my fee. When it didn't come through and I got no email notification from Square, I followed up 9/10. She told me she had submitted it, but "they" told her it could take up to 5 business days. I followed up again on 9/17 when the refund still hadn't posted and wasn't showing in pending on my credit card. I asked her to send documentation and let me know who the refund should be coming from. I told her I was going to have to dispute the credit card charge. She responded back saying she returned it, didn't know what to tell me, I was rude, and then stopped responding to and reading my messages. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but I would never hire this truck or any truck owned by Marcella again. She should've contacted me and returned my money the second she knew she wasn't coming. Poor management. And while we never received any service, she now appears to have stolen my money, while ignoring my requests to provide proof that she's attempted to return it.

Unfortunately, I wished I would have read the reviews already left on this business before I made the mistake of booking this food truck. I have never left a yelp review before, but I felt inclined to do so after my experience with Fill'Em Up. I booked this food truck for a carnival we were throwing at my skilled nursing facility for Nursing Home Week. I spoke with Marcella and she had us pay $166 booking fee upfront. Two days before the event, she called to cancel. She recommended to us another food truck (Jadabay's Tasty Kitchen) and said that she would send the booking fee to them. The other food truck was twice the minimum fee, but at that point we didn't have much of a choice. After the event, Jadabay's owner said Marcella had never sent over the booking fee. When I called her (Marcella), she informed me she had refunded it to our card. I settled up with the Jadabay's in cash, but then got hit with an almost $400 charge on my card. On Monday, I was informed that Fill'Em Up had not only NEVER refunded our booking fee, but also tried to charge our card $780, despite THEM cancelling and never attending the event. So, all in all, we had almost $1200 in fraudulent charges between the two food trucks over the weekend. They have all been disputed at this point, but we had to get a new company card and I personally had to get a new card since mine was attached to Jadabay's. I am unsure if they are working together to run these hustles on small businesses, but it seems like too much of a coincidence. Please DO NOT book Fill'Em Up or Jadabay's Tasty Kitchen unless you want to be scammed out of hundreds of dollars.

Echoing what another customer has said, my experience was pretty abysmal. We attended an event with this food truck catering. Ordering was very difficult as they were out of multiple menu items within an hour of opening their doors, even though the event hadn't even started yet. We waited an extremely long time to receive our food, a burger and Philly fries. I give grace to food trucks, because I realize it's not a normal kitchen experience, but this took almost an hour to come out. The burger itself was okay - lacking appropriate amount of condiments and toppings and extremely messy, but it was okay nonetheless. We were given an incredibly meager portion of fries, however, something I initially had laughed at. The Philly fries were even worse. I don't know if they have ever had a Philly, but this was the farthest thing from a classic Philly Cheesesteak you could imagine. Mayo smothered the fries, cheese was hard to find, and the entire thing lacked any flavor. We opted to not finish them after a couple bites. Our friend also ordered a burger later in the night. He waited over an hour for one burger as we saw the only cook go to the bar multiple times. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I would caution anyone thinking of hiring this food truck.

Caution to all those that are looking to hire for their event please vet them prior to hiring them as what we signed up for was not what we got. Our Private Event was supposed to be catered by Fill'Em Up Food Trailer due to their stellar reviews and photos. Unfortunately with the service we received this will not be someone we hire back in the future. Everything was great in the booking process as we picked out food that would be fast and easily cater to a large crowd we went with their smash burgers and their Philly cheese steak. Unfortunately, this was the only good part of the experience. As mentioned, they were late but they did a good job of communicating this with us unfortunately they blew a tire and roadside assistance was very backed up in getting to them. In the end we sent our own team to go get them so that we had a chance to get food for our clients. No Menu was offered for our guests of what items they could order. This was not told to us that we would need to provide so we expected them to show it on the truck somewhere. Early on we were told by our staff and our guests that food was taking way too long to get out to guests 15-20 minutes on a smash burger seems excessive and unfortunately those were the guests being nice we had several that just walked away. The food quality was subpar at best and in most cases under-cooked and overly greasy when I brought out the food to the truck to let them know we were getting complaints they said they would do better, but the complaints kept coming. When I finally went out to cut them loose a few hours earlier the condition of the trailer was the final straw for us. The environment looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several events, the trays they were serving food in looked terrible and the grease was disgusting. My hope is that anyone who reads this review either goes somewhere else or vets this food truck before hiring them.
