bedbug infested! i payed for a week. first night both rooms i tried had bed bugs. i left after that first night. they wont refund me my money. i had to go to urgent care due to all the bites and take a steroid, i didnt even sleep in the beds! staff already knew they had a problem. health department said they are a problem hotel! needs burned down! Manager is a scam artist. I checked in through Booking.com before arriving and paid. When I got to the hotel, they did let me check in. After about 30 minutes, the manager came to my room and told me I had to leave because Booking.com hadn't processed my payment yet. I left. The payment the processed soon after that, of course. I asked the hotel manager for a refund the next day since I had been kicked out even though I prepaid. He wouldn't refund my money. I got the feeling this was not the first time he had pulled this. I believe this was a scam. *Note: I do not know exactly when the payment went through. I took his word for it when he said Booking.com had not processed it, but payment was complete when I checked after I was kicked out and found a different hotel. I called him again the following day, and he said it was Booking.com's problem, not his. I would avoid this place if possible.

Tldr:The reviewer had a frustrating stay, with issues including uncooperative staff, unexpected fees, a dirty room, and possible bed bug bites. Despite pre-paying and confirming check-in details, the hotel worker (likely the owner's son) was difficult and argumentative, even refusing to return the insurance deposit. The reviewer vowed not to return due to poor service. I pre called the hotel regarding what days I should book if I'm checking in at 1am. I was told to pay for the day before hand, so I did. Upon arriving the hotel worker (which I'm assuming is the owners son) was telling me that I cannot check in at 1 am and was NOT wanting to check us in. We (my husband and I) stood there and asked "we'll we already called b4 hand, prepaid, and it's 2 degrees outside...what are we supposed to do" he finally calls owner. Great! Expect then he begins talking about charges:$50 insurance deposit,$25 non smoking room fee (huh???) And the pet fee $25 (called 2 days before arrival was told it was only $10). He ended up wanting to charge us another $235, which is the price we prepaid. We were confused as for the price and then ended up only paying for the deposit, but MAY have to pay for more in the morning. Whatever The room was gross, dog food, old hair, poo stains in toilet. I ended up finding tiny blood stains on the white sheets, but no evidence of actual bed bugs. The rooms also reeked of smoke. Ended up buying a diffuser to help with it. Day 2 of sleeping over and I woke up to 3 big bites on my arm. Mind you, MO does not get bitters when it's barely 10 degrees out. Double checked for bed bugs, did not find any proof now besides the bites and blood stains. Check out This hotel WILL automatically disconnect your key card the day of check out. We got locked out of our room while trying to unpack our items to our car. Had to go to the counter to get rechecked in. Low and behold, it was the SAME SON that checked us in. He asked us our check out time, we said today at 11am, and fixed the card without a problem. Actual check out came around 8am, we bring our paper back that stated we paid the insurance deposit. This man sat there and argued with us that the paper, he gave us when we checked in, was the not the paper for the deposit. He stated that we would of not been able to get a room without the paper. This time, we told him to check his books and his camera. He asked us the same question 5 times: when we checked in, when we are checking out, and what day it was. FIVE TIMES! He absolutely did not want to give us the deposit back. He finally agreed to and that ended our stay there. We also got accused of smoking in our room. I have stayed here many times and never had these problems. Please drug test your workers and retrain. I will definitely not be recommending or even coming back after this.

This hotel is roach infested..The first room I got had hair in tub..urine stains on the toilet but the kicker was the roach I saw..I told the front desk and he moved me to a different room..Again as soon as I turned on the light I saw a roach..This time the desk manager offered me a bottle of raid roach spray. They refused to refund my money since I went through Priceline.. Finally they moved me to another room which seemed better but first thing in the morning I turn on the bathroom light and roaches were everywhere..I filed a complaint with the health department..This hotel is not sanitary..At check out I showed the desk manager that there was a roach on the wall behind his desk.. I would give this place 0 stars if it let me, woman was just like rushing me to leave but took forever to get my card programmed for the room, then she continued to harass me when I went to parking lot to clean out my rental car, to come out there and ask if a man had spoken to me, I said uhm? No? Who? And she pointed to a man, I said no I haven't and why do you need to know? She said oh it's okay and left, I saw her follow other customers staying in the hotel and asking them if he had spoken to them either, then when I schedule a wake up call, she tells me to make an alarm on my phone so I asked , well I am , do y'all not do wake up calls? She said yes we do -sigh- what time do you NEED to wake up? I told her and she sighed even more aggressively and said okay bye and hung up the phone. Absolutely horrible this should be free if I'm gonna be treated like shit for paying them to sleep in a hotel. Also the bathroom is very disgusting, stains all over the shower curtain, I guess that's why there isn't pictures of the bathrooms on here for them.

Some people don't belong in the hospitality industry and not work with guest maybe in office only not with guest. I was uncomfortable during my business trip at Jefferson City . first they lost my resavarion second I got in trouble for cheering my friends watching and playing virtually on discord and I'm by myself! Felt like a criminal but there was nice people working there except for the meaner manager. American best value inn. They only few bad part of my stay was night manager lost my resavarion and it's for two nights prepaid and had no money .thank God that I knew to call hotel com. Never again first time it happen at Jefferson City I prepay online for hotels all the time because of provetry. This is court hotel not a party hotel and there's both good and bad people that works in this hotel. I would want to give it another chance when I return in 2023 to file for another office but I need a different hotel. Also don't cheer or yell too loud it must be totally quiet or you'll be given a warning you don't want to be kicked out without a refund. And I was only on the phone and playing games and cheering I am not allowed to do that. Please chose another hotel in Jefferson city.

I'm currently enjoying watching cable, having internet accessiblity with a refrigerator and microwave! Not the Marriott or Hilton but I'm content. It's located in the heart of Jefferson City near several eateries Perkins noted. Check out Schultes and Shnucks for your grocery needs! Oh yeah there is a park in walking distance.

Wow not a lot of reviews on here for this. The hotel has been "remodeled" which means just new paint. There is tile in the hallways and the doors shut hard so you can hear the echo of anyone in the hallways all night. Check google maps and TripAdvisor for more reviews and pictures, I didn't take any. The front manager lady was nice, the free breakfast was nothing fancy but decent since we only we paid a rate of 54 plus tax. Had to move rooms (we stayed two nights) bc the phone didn't work and the tub didn't drain. Beds were smaller even the the manager swears all rooms are the same size double beds. Not true first room was two queens, my parents are above 6 feet tall they could tell the difference. So all in all it's okay if you need a place cheap and have a dog.

Requested a non smoking room. Room and entire floor smelled like a smoke filled bar. Their excuse of a workout area was an exerbike in a ground floor room. The "hot breakfast" served in another ground floor room. Room had fleas and smell of mold and smoke. Manager refused to refund money when we tried to check out with in a couple of hours of arriving due to the horrible conditions. I left and told them I would dispute the credit card charge and he accused me of being a racists and leaving only because they were "foreigners". Avoid this place at all costs.
