Can't say enough good things about this bar. My best buddies and I are visiting KC on a baseball trip this week and stumbled upon this place that was on a list of recommended bars around the area. The atmosphere and display within the bar is awesome. The employees, owners, and regular drinkers were best of the best. There's a zero chance you come here and don't have a 10/10 experience. Would recommend this place to everyone and everyone.

If you're in the area you must come here. One of the best local bars I've ever been to. Class act service, great drinks, and even better atmosphere. Owners are locals and treat everyone with open arms. Can't wait to come back.

So I read this article that said Strawberry Hill might have the best dive bars in America. So I had to go to check them out. I had seen an ad for them on FB so why not. I loved their signature drinks. I'll be honest. I'm a sucker for signature drinks. The 5th star is for Sara(h) the bartender. She's engaging, she's funny, she made us want to come back to this bar. Her personality was amazing. She was the star of the bar.

"Where everybody knows your naaaaaaammmmmme!" This is that kind of place. The perfect neighborhood bar. The bartenders are friendly, fast, attentive and remember your name and drink of choice. My husband has been going here for 20+ years and it's one of our most loved spots in KCK. They always have great specials and more often than not, there's free food offered in the back dining room! The popcorn machine with the assortment of flavored toppings to jazz it up a little is just ONE of the many things that add to the draw and charm of this dive bar.

FREE WAFFLES FREE WAFFLES AND $3 MIMOSAS AND MAN-MOSAS!! That was the special today for the New Year. I enjoyed myself, the crowd wasn't jam packed & atmosphere was awesome. The waffles were good, nice spread they had laid out. Blueberries, butter whipped cream etc etc. Drinks were good and for $3 can't be it. This was my 1st time here, so I'm not sure what else they have to offer, but I'd go back.

Chicago's recently reopened under new ownership with a fresh coat of paint. It's a relaxed bar in Strawberry Hill and offers a good line up of beer and booze, which really should be a prerequisite for any bar. The old school bar includes televisions for game watching and there also is a bigger screen in a side room. I think one of the things I like about this neighborhood bar is the mix of people you can find. There's some definite characters. Most are friendly and there's a good likelihood they'll start up a conversation with you. I also have to add that if you're wanting to do a pub crawl and maybe not in the typical locations, Strawberry Hill is a solid option!

I'm starting to think KCK bars are the hidden gem of the metro area. One wouldn't think Chicago's is anything special based on the location and the exterior, but they'd be wrong. First of all, hey have free popcorn. Automatically three bonus points for providing free snack food. Second, they have a pretty good beer selection for a small dive bar. We happened to be there the day Goose Island Bourbon County came out and they had secured two cases of it. Even better, they charged a reasonable price as opposed to what some of the bars around town were asking. The whole bar just had a super laid back feel to it and I could see myself going here on a regular basis just to hang out, watch some sportsballs, and snack on some popcorn. This is pretty much the perfect spot to unwind after work for a couple of drinks by oneself.
