The food is great and it's not just typical Mexican food, they have some foods that I haven't seen anywhere else. They have some vegetarian options, not a ton but I have gotten a burrito and just asked them to make it vegetarian and they did a really good veggie burrito. This time I got the Takilocos, it's one of my faves, spicy but so good. The food comes quick and you can see them cooking the food behind the counter. They also have agua fresca that's delicious. I like the cucumber lime but my friend gets the cantaloupe, her favorite. Also they have ice cream, smoothies they are amazing too. The Spanish music is sometimes loud, but it's a casual spot, so I think it fits the vibe.

It's bright, bold, busy, loud and a little confusing and chaotic. Welcome to Frutopia. You'll walk in to a roped off ordering line. Then you'll choose from an expansive menu of meal and dessert options. I was a little overloaded - mostly because I needed more info on the ice cream options and then I took my time to decide what to order. In the end it worked out. My cookies & cream shake hit the spot and I went home happy.

So, we left a roller derby game and drove passed this. When we saw the advertisement for food snacks and ice cream and the colors we knew we had to stop. Heads up: very little English was spoken but they were friendly. Another customer actually helped me. You can taste test ice cream and the fruit juices. Very pretty and quiet inside on a Friday night although there were patrons. We will come back for food!

Best Dubai Choclate Cups in town their chocolate does not get hard. I also love their birria tacos but with shrimp for the extra charge. Everything is fresh and customer service is good.

A small group of us ended up here for dessert after a 3 stop taco crawl in the neighborhood this weekend. I only sampled the churros and ice cream, but both were exquisite. The churros are filled after frying - we chose caramel - hot with a creamy filling and a cinnamon sugar coating! With about 40 ice creams to choose from, I got adventurous and went with Queso Milkshake. I'm not sure what cheese is used in the production, but it was delicious and it will be my go to flavor for the foreseeable future whenever I see it offered anywhere. My wife had a bowl of Mango ice cream and it too was amazing with the sample that she allowed me to have. Another person in our party ordered the quesaberria tacos and they looked perfect. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'll definitely do some lunch, not just sweets. With it's high visibility at the corner of 7th and Central, bright pastel color scheme, friendly staff and a huge menu of savory and sweet selections; Frutopia should be a big success

I came in today to buy a snack with me and my 2 friends. There was no one else in this store besides me, my friends and the workers. I decided to prefer a coffee ice cream. They gave me the wrongs flavor. They gave me chocolate. I can't stand chocolate at all. So I politely told the lady that it was wrong. She gave me a stare and said no and that I was lying. All her other coworkers backed her up in saying that I asked for chocolate and not for coffee. They wanted to argue with me but eventually they gave me the correct flavor with the biggest attitude. She broke the cone on purpose out of anger and then gave me a visably smaller scoop and still had the audacity to make me pay for the other ice cream which I did NOT even touch and gave me looks the rest of the time. I wish this was the first time something like this has happed to me but no. Every time I come some thing goes wrong. Very rude workers and blamed me for "messing up".

A one stop food shop. Elote with Cheetos was fire. The Birria tacos was the best I ever had. awesome place. Went with a big group and everybody got a little bit of what they wanted. We all topped it off with Funnel Cake and Ice Cream.

Absolutely amazing from the moment you pull into the parking lot very clean, , very friendly. All of the employees are very helpful answering any questions and once you get the food or the drink you forget about every negative thing that's ever happened throughout your day..It's like you end up in a whole another world. This is the most amazing place I've ever eaten in Wyandotte county... and we're comparing that to even barbecue...just keep it real guys. Truly an amazing delightful place. Great prices, great quality & quantity.

I have visited Frutopia about a half dozen times for lunch over the last 2 months and have ordered something different every time and can easily say that the highly creative menu is backed with excellent flavors and technical excellence. I highly recommend this place and am sure that anything I havent tried yet on the menue will be tasty but I especially would recreccomend anything with the birria I it.
