Absolutely loved our experience here! Vibes are sensational -- decor creates the perfect place for gathering with cozy seating or tables, ample room to dance, and a solid rotation of wonderful DJs. Have been trying to find a time to come here and I'm so glad I finally did. If you're looking for a fun unique place to spend the night, in the lowest ferns is the place to be. The cool girl vibes in this place are through the roof. I loved the lighting, the hifi sounds, and the fun drinks. They had a taco truck outside for ladies night which just topped everything off. Overall a super fun night!

I came here to meet some friends and ended up having way more fun than I expected. I am not usually big on dancing... but I actually found myself out on the dance floor most of the night. My fiancée even joked that she had never seen me dance that much before. The vibe is warm and laid back... dim lighting... plants... small seating nooks... plus a patio out front. The bar had great non alcoholic options too. I tried the NA canned Paloma and it was honestly really good. Overall a super inviting space whether you want to relax or dance.

I CANNOT WAIT TO COME BACK! Never having been here before, my friend and I goofed up twice. Once was not understanding that the location looks weird so upon arrival we thought we were in the wrong spot and the second was coming too early. Don't get us wrong! We LOVED the cocktails and the lack of line, and the decor is just absolutely perfect. However we didn't realize it wouldn't get bumping til 11 pm or so haha. Drinks were immaculate. So good my friend had 3 of the same one and I had 2 of mine. Definitely coming back to dance the night away :)

I think the space is really unique and I like the ambiance. It definitely is going for a more sophisticated nightclub but with its own music twist (depending on the night). I like their marketing on social which is what got me interested in coming here, but when I went, it was hard to find a spot to sit. I guess you have to make reservations so it didn't feel welcoming to the general public. We sat on a tiny bench with some other people who seemed out of place. My old fashioned also came from a pre-mixed container which took away from the upscale/hipster vibe it was portraying. The bartender was also not very friendly when we asked for recommendations as it was our first time. Overall I may have to plan better in advanced/and/or their mystique needs a little bit more clarification on expectations. The ambiance is cool though so that is a positive. I would probably come back to see if it was a one off

I haven't quite figured In The Lowest Ferns out...and I can't decide if I want to or not yet. Not because it wasn't fun and cool looking, but more-so because the vibe was just a little confusing last time I was there. The drinks were okay but the bars were confusing and the service was kind of slow. The dancefloor was kind of full but the DJ wasn't really encouraging anybody to get out there and, despite it being after midnight, it felt like more of a hang out and chat type of place with very loud music rather than a night club. Maybe it was just the night I went? It was super smokey in there with a reasonable amount of seating available but ultimately not worth the $20 cover.

Need to reserve a table if you don't want to sit on a bench. Most tables were reserved when we came in. Drinks are ok with the price ranging from $12-14. Atmosphere is really cool and relaxing with a DJ playing music in the background.

If you want to visit a unique nightclub in KC this is the place to go. We are so lucky to have such a specially curated club in the West Bottoms. DJs were amazing. Cocktails were cheap and good. Everyone was so friendly and the dance vibes were great. I had read reviews and heard from others that security had guns but never saw that in the evening we went. Felt safe! I will say a friend of ours had to go outside a couple of times because the heavy incense smell was overpowering for her. Would love to come back!

The vibe was amazing majority of the night, my friends & I went on disco night so there was a disco ball and a set genre of music being played by a DJ ~ it was nice! Lots of real plants, low light, etc.. The drinks were hella expensive though... MAN. I thought it'd be like $150-$200, turns out my bartender tabbed us out for me ( i was paying for everyone) even though my friend asked for the check, told me the total, we waited a little because we weren't finished with our last drinks, and we come back and the bartender tells her she's good. They tipped themselves $40+ without asking so our tab was $300. We were also flagged down, asked to smoke, and eventually harassed by three men who were inside the joint near us, and asked if we smoked. We stayed in public view, but we still almost didn't get away, they started getting closer and closer to me because i was the drunkest. For those two reasons, probably not going back. Stay safe always trust instincts! *this is my main and only account, if you see the duplicated post before this, i hadn't realized i wasn't signed into my yelp account.
