10/10 the lemon pepper is by far the best seasoning I have ever tried. Everytime friends and family come to visit they are blown away from this simple yet profound chicken experience :D

Let me start by saying I really like J's chicken and really haven't had any complaints since covid hit, because that's when their prices went up only to get smaller pieces of chicken. Today I ordered 100 wings for my husband's company in an effort to thank his drivers because once in a while it shows you appreciate them, 4out of the five drivers had never tried it, the chicken was extremely dry, as though it had sit out overnight, it had no flavor even with the lemon pepper seasoning on it, two of the drivers stated they are glad they didn't spend their money on it, I ranted on how good the chicken was only to be very disappointed in this order. I am writing this review for the store on Independence avenue because their website is down, this does NOT reflect the 28th and prospect store.

I just had this place for the first time yesterday, amazing food for a great price. chicken tenders were juicy and flavorful! I had a door dash here one day... a guy picking up his order was telling me how good they were and that i had to come back for myself, he was definitely not wrong! you are crazy if you'll eat at raising canes, church's chicken, kfc, and popeyes over this place!!!

Food is amaazing! Always get extra lemon pepper seasoning. The wings fries and chicken sandwich are all pretty good. I've picked up myself and had Uber eats deliver. Good both times. The people there can be short with you sometimes but the food makes up for it.

I usually go to the one in independence but I was close by Prospect , I wanted combo 6 large shrimp and 2 catfish. The whole plate looked disgusting and old. The Shrimps were not large at all. The catfish was thin, dry and hard. Along with barely giving me fries. I paid $15 and they refused to give me back my money along with refusing to remake it and with getting smart at me and tried to gaslight me to say the shrimp was jumbo/large. They are scamming customers over there, what I received today was not $15 worth of a combo I'm use to. I am very disappointed and angry about this.

I'm giving both J's Fish and Chicken and Door Dash a negative 5 stars!!! I placed an order via Door Dash. I did not receive the correct order and the food was cold. So, I called J's, and the phone message stated that the voice message was full and could not leave a message. So, I called the store the next morning to explain the issue and they stated they did not see my order from the night before and I should call Door Dash. Called Door Dash and they stated I need to call J's. I called all the J's Restaurants, and they all stated they didn't see my order and that they are not affiliated with each other, which is a lie! So, I took my order into the J's on 28th and Prospect around the corner from my house, which this is where the order came from and the male, (I won't address him a man, because he did act like a man) he was rude and show no concern. Anyway, my bank card was compromised and I had to get a new card. Door Dash asked for a picture of the food so, that they may give me a refund. I explained to her that the card was closed, and the bank gave me a new card. The Door Dash idiot kept over talking me and said the refund was issue back to my closed card. So, I had to call my bank, and they could see that the idiot from Door Dash tried to refund money to the closed card. My Bank is refunding my money to my account. J's Fish and Chicken and Door Dash are thieves, and I will never do business with either of them again. Just know J's and Door Dash, there's an action that will come upon you called, Karma!!!

The service at this location needs improvement!! ASAP! I went to place an order at the counter, as I was in the middle of placing my order the man behind the counter answered the phone. He then started taking down the phone order! Instead of telling the person on the phone to hold on for a few seconds, he felt that it was okay to take the order during the time I was placing my order. After he got off the phone, he didn't even apologize for being disrespectful. I ordered 3 wings and attempted to order Fried Okra. They ran out of okra at their location and said that I would have to wait longer for them to have more "shipped" to them. I'm assuming from another store location. I should have left after that but decided to just opt for the wings instead. In the end, the "whole wings" were nothing but 3 tiny pieces. Honestly, the entire experience was an disappointment.
