We were looking for a smash burger that wasn't Shake Shack and found that this new place in south plaza had one! Also had a side of mac and cheese and fries. The pictures online showed crinkle cuts but they were actually steak fries. They were good but the AC was up pretty high so they got cold fast. The Mac and cheese was basic but good. I've had worse at other bar and grills. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their pizzas and beer! Service was good. Pleasant but not over the top. Checked on us and good amount.

Great food and customer service! I love the brightness with all the windows. I'm more ecstatic there's a location closer now. Hopefully brunch will be here soon! The waffles are unmatched!!

Martin City's pizza has always been a favorite of mine. I'm happy to have this new location so close. I went on a Sunday at lunch time and it was very easy to get a table. The place is nice, being newly renovated. We had the chicken spanakopita pizza which was solid. I ordered a lager beer to go with it That paired fine. It wasn't until after dinner that we saw the happy hour menu applies all day on Sundays. We would've ordered off the HH menu if we saw it so we're going to come back and take advantage of that.

Love that this new location opened up! It is so convenient! We tried the Apples in Italy Pizza! Oh my word it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! I simply love everything I have ever tried at Martin City! The service was impeccable. We sat on the patio and were frequently checked on and able to order additional drinks quickly when we drained our cups! Loved the patio! Very nice to have outdoor seating for the gorgeous fall like weather we have been blessed with lately! If you don't come check it out you will definitely miss out!

Tried Martin City with my twin brother for our birthday since it's within walking distance from my work. Pretty good! The service was great, both the host and the waiter were very nice. It was busy on a Friday so I recommend making a reservation. We tried the supreme pizza which was good, I'd come back for sure. The only disadvantage of sitting outside is it can be close to the smoking area of another restaurant.

This place opened about 3 weeks ago in South Plaza! The new Martin City Tavern looks really nice! For the drinks we had Hazy Way IPA and Coors Light. For the food, we got the pretzel bites, and a whole pizza with pepperoni and sausage to share. Everything we had met our expectations! This place is a must try!

Food was ok, service was indifferent. I expected more after hearing glowing reviews. I'm always delighted when there are gluten free options, especially if they're clearly marked on the menu, however, the upcharge for gluten-free pizza crust or sandwich bread is the highest I've ever seen. I got the smashburger, which is supposed to come with pickles, onions, and their signature sauce - there were no pickles, a tiny sprinkle of onions, and a tiny smear of sauce. Sides are an extra charge, of course. The waitress acted like she was doing us a favor. Just a completely unimpressive experience, I won't rush back.

My wife is a member of their Mug Club so we got invited to their soft opening. I really like the location. Lots of parking nearby. We got sat on the patio. Really nice. Luckily it's a nice day out and not too hot. Our server Nadia is amazing. She asked us a little bit about our beer knowledge and expressed an interest in learning more. I gave her a link for the Beer Bible. Now for the food. We tried mostly all new items. Their cheese curds are tasty, especially with the pizza sauce. I got the Reuben Sandwich and I really love it. Maybe a tad thin for the price, but the flavor makes up for it. My wife got the Fish & Chios and again, delicious! I'm not a fan of their tartar sauce, but it tastes great with a little of the vinegar. Definitely will come back.

I love this newer location! I'm a beer club member, so we eat at a Martin City at least once a month. I like that this location has additional menu items. Tonight we had the stuffed cheese bread. It's delicious! It's a hard decision to choose between that and the cheese balls for our appetizer! They have the best cherry limeade in KC! I have to have that and a Hardway every time. I had the smash burger and my hubby had the chicken sandwich. Both delicious! I totally failed and only got one food pic!

Live on Plaza, always ordered pizza's at Spin. Just had my first pizza from Martin City. Very disappointed, it was an 8" and it was barely cooked especially all the toppings I requested. For $30. It wasn't worth it and I will not b giving them a second chance. Edward Straley
