The Over There Cafe is the perfect place to eat while visiting the WWI Museum. There are lots of options available from sandwiches to salads to soups and sweet treats. I got the fruit salad, chocolate chip cookie, and root beer. The service was fine, except for the fact that they first brought me the wrong salad at first. But the kitchen brought me the correct salad and it was delicious. There are flags hanging in the dining area that honor all of the countries that fought in World War One. I highly recommend the Over There Cafe.

Bottom lines there's nothing really special about this place but it's a good stop if you need a quick pick-me up or some snacks. The venue is really out of sight and outside the beaten path so it can get easily forgotten about if you don't actively look for it. A lot of the snack selections are cold cuts and the drinks are bottled. Remember: you can't bring in food or drinks into the museum and you can get 10% off if you're a member. Venue: it looks like a small hospital/corporate snack shop but there's a relatively large dining room area. Its quiet with no music... so it may seem a bit eerie if you're there by yourself with the flags and tables. It's clean as you go and there were a lot of crumbs on tables from other patrons. Service: the cashier stands behind the counter and you cash out with them first after you pick up the things you want. Overall: not bad. Has what you need for a quick pick me up.

The cafe used to be unique. Pre Covid there was great food and the WW1 themed dishes were fantastic. Post COVID it is cold sandwiches and it is mediocre. I wish they go back to how they were.

Some museum cafes have mediocre, overpriced food. Others have excellent, overpriced food. This one simply has bad food. Items that should be pretty hard to mess up (a panini!) came out barely edible. The WWI Museum deserves better.

OTC serves old bitter black coffee and scones that crumble in your fingers and have a bad taste. I'm sure all of this is by design to emphasize with the WWI troops who were accustomed to eating worse cuisine each day. I had the thought that the museum was so good, how could the cafe be so bad? I'm usually wary of restaurants embedded in places of interest; they too often can be long on ambience but short on quality and quantity of food. But we were famished by the time we finished visiting the World War I museum, so we decided to give the "Over There Cafe" a try. We were so glad we did! The setup is cafeteria style dining, but it doesn't feel institutional. The ladies at the checkout were very friendly and helpful, and assisted us in choosing menu options. We each had a bowl of soup (mine was the tomato basil and my brother had the chili) and a serving of grilled asparagus. Everything was absolutely yummy and extremely reasonably priced! The tomato basil soup was very flavorful, and the asparagus was perfectly grilled: not too soft nor too hard, and included bits of bacon and onion. Very tasty! If you're at the WWI museum and need an informal meal, stop in at the "Over There Cafe". It's a great option for casual dining!

The pear chicken salad was a bit overpriced for my liking- $9 bucks. But, it is to be expected for visiting a historical museum attraction. The salad could've had more toppings and way more slices of pears. I ordered mine first with my group and ended up getting it way after all the other orders which was surprising for a salad. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. Not too bad of a cafe for a museum but don't think I would get the salad again.

We were visiting the national World War 1 Museum and Memorial and this was a great place for us to go have a quick lunch. I thought the food was tasty and the pricing seemed right. I had a special of a chicken Caesar wrap and it was very good.

A great dining choice for folks (like me) who head in thinking this is a quick in and out museum trip. We were having so much fun at the museum, we didn't want to leave and get lunch but we were too hungry to wait. The menu was your basic sandwiches, salads and pizza. Prices were reasonable - we had two meals with soda for under $20. I ordered the "grilled cheese" thinking that's exactly what it would be - bread and cheese. But I didn't see the details which stated grilled cheese filled with chef's choice. Fortunately I'm not a vegetarian and equally fortunately it was pulled pork which I love - so it was a tasty pulled pork, grilled cheese sandwich. My cousin had a greek chicken wrap which he also gave thumbs up.

Most museums you go to have average cafes. BUT the WW1 museum's cafe is better then average: it's awesome. I got a chicken salad and to tell you the truth, I wasn't expecting much. I mean salads are like the easiest thing to make other then a frozen meal. I was kind-of shocked though. The lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes was average, but what they did to the chicken was tasty. The chicken was in a sauce that almost reminded me of potato salad. Add some honey-mustard dressing and it was perfect. It also was a perfect portion size. The lady working there was also very friendly. I would give 4 out of five stars manly because it was better then your average cafe.
