Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. We stayed here while attending the NFL Draft. Pros: good location, good breakfast, and helpful staff. Cons: only one (slow) elevator, the rooms could be updated, $15 for nightly parking.

Great staff! Great location! Great breakfast! The beds are comfy and a great place to be for busy shopping season and events in the area.

The room smells bad. The staff is rude and doesn't seem to have any idea what's going on. And there has been loud, heavy-duty construction directly next door for years. Avoid this place. Stay somewhere else on the plaza.

The staff is so friendly. The room was clean, spacious and perfect. The hotel is so close to so many things on the Plaza. It was 3 minutes walking distance to Bucca di Beppo Italian restaurant, which I also highly recommend. Loved staying at this hotel and it's right by UMKC, so a great place to stay if you have campus activities. The 1 bedroom suite we stayed in had 2 large TVs and everything you would need, including of course a fully equipped kitchen and large dining and living area separate from the bedroom, which all the rooms have. The free breakfast was also very good. Other places I've stayed on the Plaza have not been in this good of a location. I highly recommend!

This Hotel is gross and I do not recommend staying here. When we walked into our hotel room we were instantly hit with a nasty smell. We couldn't figure out if it was the fridge or what but it smelt like a cat pee. GROSS The rooms were so outdated. We booked this hotel because the pictures looked nice and the reviews we mostly good. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. Our carpets had stains almost everywhere. I refused to walk barefoot because the carpet was so disgusting. The curtain rod was broken. One of the closet doors was broken so u couldn't close the closet. The toilet seat was broken and kept moving once you sat on it. The living room furniture was all torn up, stained, and who knows how old. This place did not feel clean. For some reason the elevator would not go to floor 2. When we clicked the button no light came on and the elevator didn't move so me just took the stairs. The breakfast was just your typical hotel breakfast. Not horrible, not great. Overall DO NOT STAY HERE. We were only staying for one night, but if we had been staying for more we definitely would have found somewhere else to stay.

Great location! A little on the dated side. It has a bit of an interesting layout. My room was only accessible from outside. No elevator. Only steps. It felt like it was repurposed apartments more than hotel space. Parking was limited in the garage. Some street available, but that too was limited without a walk. What did I learn today? The new Shake Shack is within walking distance.

So, I have stayed here for about 3 months. I have stayed at A LOT of Marriot properties around the country. First off, this hotel is centrally located in the Plaza area and is in walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping, etc... Even though the palce could use some updating in the rooms my stay has been very pleasant. I always requested the outside entrance rooms because they are bigger with a full kitchen and you dont have to use the elevator (which has some serious waiting issues). The staff... Jack is awesome and will go out of his way to make sure your stay is great and always makes you feel welcomed. Pa is awesome, always smiling and checks you in quickly late night. Craig runs the dining area and does a fantastic job as well as his staff. He makes homemade food mon, tues, weds. And they serve great local and craft beers from 6-730 on those days FOR FREE. Make sure you tip him tho! Dan the manager is awesome and is usually in the dining area during happy hours. Gonnna miss my home away from home but will definitely stay here on my trips back to KC. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THANKS!

Perfect. Front Desk staff very accommodating. I called and asked for early check in and that was easily done, even with three rooms. Heather is fantastic! She is a definite asset to the front desk staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable and priced just right. Location was great, however, there is construction in that area. This hotel will definitely be were I stay when in KC.

This hotel is awesome! Very beautiful on the inside (at least in our room). I have never stayed at a Residence Inn before so I was pleasantly surprised to see a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, dining table, living room, and bedroom area all rolled into one room. Whoever thought this one up is a genius! Our stay was very pleasant. Overall very quiet and close to the Plaza. Parking was free as well for people who stay here. They offer complimentary breakfast (I think on the third floor?) but we didnt get a chance to check it out. It sounds like they have a good selection of free food though. Definitely would stay here again!

Great value for the room you get. All rooms have been completely updated which is fantastic! We paid $139 per night for a studio suite which was very cute and a nice size. They offering buffet style breakfast for free. Some items include: eggs, sausage patties, cereals, made to order waffles, etc. They also have fresh brie cheese which was wonderful!
