I absolutely love the drive thru. Sometimes you're hungry and in a hurry and the last thing you want to do is stop, talk to somebody and wait. It's not an issue here. The menu is easy to read and your food is ready for you minutes later. They even ask if you want a special or salsa or two to go. Inside is fine, but space is a bit of a premium. It can get a little crowded when you're trying to order and make your way through the salsa bar. Whichever option you choose - onsite or to go - your food will be served in filling portions from a polite and helpful staff.

Nice job!! First time in and it was great. Menu on the wall is easy to navigate through. Tried the asada fries which were incredible. I had 2 tacos-1 chicken and 1 chorizo and both were very good. Had to try the rice and beans - some of the best I've had in KC. They had a salsa bar with onions, radishes, jalapeños etc. Cashier was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Not as friendly as previous shop owners. Po'io was a unique one of a kind place - one of the most outstanding and flavorful restaurants I've had the chance to savor. This is just your regular taco place with no perks. Wish I had better commentary. It was kept a lot cleaner before than it is now.

El Viejon may translate to Old Man, but they are the new kid in the Argentine neighborhood. Taking over the former space of Poio on 7th street, and adding another first rate taqueria to the heavily saturated community. At $2.50 each, I tried the Suadero, Pastor and Asada tacos. The plate came with grilled onions and a large charred jalapeno. The tacos were unadulterated, which allowed me to take advantage of the large condiment bar featuring cilantro, chopped onions, sliced radishes and cucumbers, pickled onions and a choice of 4 sauces. All 3 meats were plentiful and perfectly tender and flavorful. The suadero meat was extremely moist and tender, although I would have loved to see it crisped up a bit longer on the grill. Plenty of outdoor patio seating for nice weather. With the great food, fair pricing and seating options, I will be adding them to my annual taco crawl next month for friends and co-workers.

I have been wanting to try this place for an awhile and it did not disappoint. I love that there is a drive thru. It allows me to order some delicious food without getting out of my car (which will come in handy for those days after work where you don't want to cook). My experience with the drive thru was great. I ordered asada fries, queso barría tacos, large order of guacamole, two Al pastor tacos, and two carne asada tacos. The food was hot and smelled amazing (it's a miracle it made it home in one piece). Overall I felt there was a good amount and quality of food for the price. I loved the queso barrio tacos (my consume could have been a touch more flavorful). There was plenty of carne asada on the fries. I recommend getting some pico to add to the fries. My husband's tacos were full of meat. Overall we will be going back.
