We gave this place a second try for lunch today and when I tell you this is the best Thai food we've ever had. The only thing we would say wasn't that great was the pad Thai being a bit to fishy tasting and less peanut tasting. The food overall was amazing and our server was one of the best and so nice. The place was very clean and the ambiance was nice. We will be back.

I've been seeing a lot of people post about Thai Orchard, so when I had friends in town, we decided to give it a try! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful--really warm and welcoming. Since they're a new restaurant, I think they're still getting settled when it comes to timing and service. Nothing major, but noticeable. I ordered the Tiger Cried Beef, which I usually try at different Thai places to compare flavors. It was delicious--perfectly cooked, and the seasoning was on point. I added steamed vegetables on the side to balance it out, and it all came together really well. One of my friends ordered the flat noodles, but they were under-cooked and too chewy. The good news? After reheating the leftovers the next day, they were actually really tasty--just needed a bit more time. My biggest issue: one person at our table had to wait about 10 minutes after the rest of us got our food. That kind of throws off the whole meal, especially when you're dining out together. Still, the flavors were great, and the ambience made the experience enjoyable overall. I'll definitely be coming back to see how they continue to grow!

We visited Thai Orchid in North KC on the evening of Oct 6. The restaurant itself is really nice -- beautiful decor, modern, and feels a bit upscale for the area. Unfortunately, the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, which took away from the otherwise polished vibe. Even though it wasn't busy, service was pretty slow. Everyone was friendly though -- especially the lady who brought out our appetizers; she was so cheerful and genuinely excited, which really brightened things up! We tried the soft spring rolls, and those were amazing -- super fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, that ended up being the best part of the meal. I ordered the Signature Orchid (chef's specialty), and it was just okay. Lots of onions, a thick peanut butter sauce, and sliced chicken -- it got overwhelming really fast. My partner had the pineapple fried rice, and while the chicken was cooked nicely, the rice itself was really bland and flavorless. We were hoping for a better experience, but overall it was just disappointing. Nice people, great spring rolls, but slow service and lackluster mains mean we probably won't be back

Abel was a fantastic server! We enjoyed the crab Rangoon, Phad Thai and Tom soup. All were level 4 spice and full of fantastic flavor!

I have been to Thai Orchid several times, and each time I just feel like things fall just a tad short, whether it's food or service. It feels like they're still going through growing pains despite having been open for a long time now. I probably won't be back.

I got seated right away. Beautiful place. I got spring rolls and Khao Soi. The spring rolls came out fast, and I didn't really love them. It was a lot but they were crunchier then I'm used to. The Khao soi was very good! Normally get it with chicken, but the beef was soooo good and soft. My waiter has something before she was able to greet me, so another waiter introduced themselves and let me know that they were going to be with me soon. Everyone was very attentive and I would come back! I started eating the khao soi before was able to take a picture, sorry!

Went here for the first time during happy hour and really enjoyed it. This new location in the Northland has a great ambiance that is welcoming and neat. It's clean and well decorated with an upscale vibe. Staff was also super friendly. For the food, I tried the fried tofu, basil wings, basil fried rice, and tiger cry beef. They were all super delicious but the wings and fried rice were definitely two of my favorites. I also ordered the Thai coffee which I highly recommend if you enjoy coffee. Will definitely come here again soon for my next Thai craving.

Came here for lunch with one of my friends. We had tried the lunch special and shared. We had drunken noodles and Beef Ga Praw. It was amazing! Everything was delicious and quick. We both got a drink. She got a red wine, and I got a lychee martini? But overall service was fast, food was delicious, and the decor was beautiful! Definitely a peaceful and beautiful lunch!
