This was the WORST experience that I've ever had. I was working with a non profit who were placing women with families in the hotel because of various situations during the pandemic. The assistant manager Erin was absolutely the most horrible experience that these women had that day. Hands down. Even the non profit that I was working with was frustrated, saying they had never experienced anything like this previously and they had been working with this particular office for 4 years. Ultimately neither woman was placed in this hotel AND Erin advised the last one that the non profit had 12 other people there. They (the women) shouldn't have to worry about anyone knowing any information that they don't want them to know. Also when I got there with the 1st woman, there was a man in the office who looked so bothered. When we came in, he said we could go ahead and talk to her & he would come back. I should have known then that it was going to be a problem. Very unprofessional & I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My partner and I had reservations at WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Mission for April 27, 2023 through April 29, 2023. We were unjustly kicked out of our room, 305, after being accused of stealing a housekeeper's (Tiffany) charger. That morning when we left the room, the housekeeper, was cleaning the room nearby in that my partner asked her about a "Do not disturb" sign for our room on my behalf as I had my school laptop and portable DVD player in the room. She rudely informed us that there was no such signs and that they only go in the room by request or when we leave the hotel. At that point, my partner had taken a book of matches off her cart. We went on our way down the hall to the elevator and past another housekeeper which no words were spoken. So my partner and I were gone since that morning to early evening in which I returned to the hotel by myself. When I got to my room, the room key was not working so I went downstairs. It was apparently shift change. The man who checked us in the night before was at the front desk. This hotel staff is the same man who questioned my partner about how he got the low room rate for our room with the NFL draft being in town that weekend at check-in the night before. We replied that we were not in town for that reason as we are from out of state and came to dump a storage unit and had booked the room a week in advance. He responded that the room rates are being booked for a hundred dollars more now as a result of the NFL draft as they can charge weekend rates for the weekday. That was the end of the conversation. Later that evening, I had asked about upgrading our room to a two bed as my partner's son came to help us last minute with the storage. The male staff reported that it would be an extra $255 in which I told him that I would have to speak to my partner and that was the end of that conversation. Fast forward now to the evening of Friday April 28, 2023. This male staff had a note left from the morning shift stating that we were to leave the premises and must return the charger. I had called my partner on my phone and allowed him to talk to the male staff and the acting hotel manager as the general manager had left for the day. Supposedly, the general manager called the contact number listed on the reservation three times that morning but no such calls were retrieved. My partner asked for the videos to be reviewed and had told them the details of our interactions with the housekeeping staff and her cart that morning. However, the hotel staff decided in the end that we were to leave the premises immediately and that the police were going to be called. We do not know if the police were called or not but we do know that we did not take anyone's charger. My partner believes that we were being discriminated against because of his race. I was escorted to the room by the male staff who watched me pack our belongings in the room which included my school laptop, portable DVD player, all of our chargers to our phones and electrical devices, clothes, and food items. I left the premises and did not cause any issues despite being falsely accused and being made to find other hotel accommodations during the NFL draft weekend. I do feel an injustice has occurred and that it needs to be rectified.

Alright so from the outside it looks nice. The elevator is pretty sketchy and stinks. The rooms look pretty decent BUT we put the a/c the lowest it would go and on high and wow. We were sweating all night. Room would not cool down at all. Plus we found some sort of bug in the bathroom and when I tried to kill it, it went into the wall. Also, the some of the people who were staying there were super sketchy. Sitting in the parking lot at 11 at night and would just stare at you while you were trying to get to your room.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed at in the KC area. Receptionist was clueless, the hallway smells, cigarette butts all over the place in front, no glassware, and I could go on! On your next trip to the KC area, skip the Woodsprings Suites!

If i could give this place 0 stars i definitely would. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. At first, i did enjoy this hotel until the day of my check out when one of the staff members had let themselves into my room with their master key while i was sleeping only to sexually harass & assault me & my friend. When i was going to make a complaint to the manager , she didn't even believe me. She questioned my story, & said that is not the story she heard from her staff. UNBELIEVABLE! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to get sexually assaulted!

I wish I could give it less than one star. Worst hotel/motel experience of my life. I got there at 2 pm and tried to call for an early check in several times earlier (check in is 3pm), but the line was busy. I get there an hour before check in and they tell me no they are still cleaning my room. So I leave and come back around 5 or 6 absolutely exhausted. Get my keys go in the room and it is FILTHY. The floor is sticky, it smells like urine, and there are crumbs everywhere. I immediately call so that I can move rooms and they tell me my only option is finding a new hotel and getting refunded. At this hour there is nowhere to go so I stay. Later that night I get a small stain on the sheets and I took the sheets off and what I saw underneath was absolutely disgusting. Yellow stains all over. I take the cover off and the mattress itself is equally disgusting. With a HOLE in it. Looks like there was a stain and they tried to cut it out. I called the front desk for cleaning equipment and new sheets. They bring stuff up but won't give me a vacuum or even vacuum it themself. I ask why and they say it's in the housekeepers closet. I ask if they don't have the key and they say that they do but management doesn't allow them to use it. A grown man not allowed to use a vacuum.... I had to clean the place myself so the floor wasn't sticky and change the sheets. I have several photos to attach as well. I then told the manager at check out and all she said was sorry. She said the room was remodeled and never stayed in which seemed like a complete lie. There were food stains on the wall by the stove and crumbs all over the floor. She even said it smelled bad because the floor was just glued. The room was not ready and definitely not clean. no one should have been in there. Horribly managed hotel the only pro was location. You're better off sleeping your car than having an experience like this. 0 stars.

Just read the other reviews. They're not lying. The place is very sketchy. Spend a little more money and go somewhere else, it is so worth it.

The room smelled strongly of urine. Only 2 flimsy pillows, and they didn't have extra's. They rip you off! We ended up checking out early and was told twice that we would get a refund for that second week. After several weeks of not getting a refund, I called and the GM avoided calling me back for 3 days! Once I did get a hold of her she told me we had a damage charge for smoking in the room (we don't smoke) AND told us she didn't have anything confirming we checked out early! She told me she would check into it further and call me back but she never did! Seriously terrible manager customer service!

I'm not really sure what to say about this place. It was last minute that I needed a room and I was very close to this hotel. It is close to I35 but it is not easy to get to as there isn't an entrance from the interstate. You need to weave your way around a frontage road so trust your GPS, the place is where it says it is. As for the hotel itself, it is extremely no frills and cheap. As for if it's a value or not, I'm not quite sure. The lobby is basically a closet behind a small window and makes you feel as though they are worried about getting robbed at any moment. There seemed to be families that were there for semi-residence and some broken down vehicles in the parking lot. It was really weird. As for my room, it was clean and semi- quiet. The bed and pillows were nothing to write home about but sufficient. The A/C worked o.k. and mine wasn't as loud as some others have reviewed. I never noticed it being obnoxious. What WAS annoying was that there was not lamp. You heard me, NO LAMP!!! The only light in the room was the overhead that you turned on and off at the door. Who in the hell can we attribute that design to? Totally dumb. Apparently if you are staying here, you are not expected to be a reader. The staff was exceedingly nice and accommodating, although I didn't really need them for anything out of the ordinary. I've stayed in much worse places and as I said, it was clean and affordable, but if you are looking for anything other than simply a bed, I would pay a bit more and stay somewhere else. If all you need is to get in and out, save money and sleep in an ok bed, this place is alright.

This hotel was dirty but our receptionist Dominick was very helpful. He showed us to the first room that was dirty (beds not made) then took us to another room and the floor was so dirty it was sticky with every step you took. Dominick was doing his best and ended up giving us a refund because we left.
