Cafe province is just not another restaurant in Prairie village area. It's a family owned French specialty restaurant which caters amazing French dishes in the entire Kansas and Missouri area. I have been to multiple other French restaurants, but this place stands out and it's been there for a very long time. It's located in a very beautiful Neighbourhood where there are multiple other options for you, but this place definitely stands out.. I strongly recommend reservations to this place, especially if you're celebrating any special occasions it's a perfect place for a date night or a perfect weekend lunch with friends. Their menu keeps changing so keep checking their website to see what they're doing for the week but I strongly recommend people going there to try their food because it's absolutely delicious. The ambience is outstanding. It's very modern and aesthetic. And obviously the service inside is upscale. You definitely get a very good value for money. They have amazing selection of wines and their desserts are outstanding is a little bit of a parking problem so find a spot before you get there.

Excellent French restaurant! Recommended for date nights & special occasions, or simply if you have some extra money. Great ambiance. Service very attentive. Menu changes frequently but always has some menu favorites that don't change. If you don't have reservations & you're party of 1 or 2, you may be able to go space at the bar. Otherwise at beginning of lunch or dinner service is a good option, but if it's a special occasion, make a reservation. About reservations- Handicap accessible parking, entry, seating, restrooms are available but cafe staff should know in advance so seating can be arranged. Large persons should also mention if extra elbow room is desired. Low-key French music in the background & some iconic French artwork/photos. Used to ride my bike all around PV Shopping center when I was a kid & now that I've moved back to the area, glad to find this piece of Paris on the plains!

The food was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I especially enjoyed the scallops and the halibut which was cooked to perfection and bursting with taste. It's clear that the chef puts a lot of thought and passion into the menu! What truly set this experience apart was the superb service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations.

The crab cakes are the best I've ever had. We like trying French inspired restaurants on Fridays, we call it French Fridays. Cafe Provence, one of the fine dining French restaurants we have enjoyed for years. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the shops of Prairie Village.

Wonderful place! They were so extremely accommodating and kind. I had a reservation for 4 and last minute a 5th person came to town. I didn't realize how quaint the restaurant was and they don't have many larger tables. They still were able to make it happen without an issue. We were so grateful! The food was spectacular. We started with French onion soup, escargot, mussels, and foie gras. The table was oohing and awe-ing over every appetizer. For dinner we had a mix of the veal, lamb neck, halibut, and veggie pasta dish. Everything tasted fresh, perfection, and made to order. I highly recommend this place for a date night! 10/10!

Our favorite and go-to-restaurant. Their menu gives you enough choices that you will be satisfied in terms of chicken, seafood or beef options. Service? impeccable! Ambiance is fine but a bit crowded during their rush hour. However, that can be expected because they are very popular because of their superb French food offerings. Highly recommended.

Wow--what an unforgettable experience! I ventured out to Prairie Village as part of my Adventure Challenge Book, and this stop did not disappoint. The vibrant orange umbrellas at Café Provence immediately caught my eye, and I knew I had to stop. The patio is absolutely charming--transporting me straight back to a little café in the south of France. I ordered the bay scallops with sweet corn risotto and julienned veggies, and it was truly delightful. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, though I will say the dish wasn't as warm as expected--but it arrived impressively fast. My server was incredibly professional and full of helpful recommendations that made the experience even better. And the martini? Let's just say--it did not hold back.

Eating here is an experience! Prepare for a cozy, intimate space with great service. Warm bread and butter to start, we then followed that with salads and then our entrees. The Poitrine de Poulet aux Morilles was tender, juicy and delicious. The daily soup was also great, especially dipped with the fresh bread. Embrace the French cuisine with a paired glass of wine! Definitely a highlight of our trip, and would return.

Anniversary night dinner on the patio after sundown. Was an amazing experience, and sitting outside was relaxing that late into the evening. We've been several times and it's always great, but this was the best meal we've had yet. Roasted duck and seared salmon...both done perfectly. One of the best restaurants in KC, not just for French cuisine. Everyone is always friendly and they go the extra mile to make our celebration special. We were lucky to be there on a Monday to enjoy the soufflé dessert...it was perfect.
