The food was awesome! My daughter is a TF coach for UofA. After the events at KU, our families had a late dinner which included appetizers and drinks. It's loud in there but that's what made it comfortable. Like at home. Again, the food was very delicious.

Walking in, it was dark but I like that. Workers swore quite proficiently with several f-bombs being hollered loudly. Food was hot and fresh. My friend enjoyed her garlic parm wings and onion rings. The quesadilla was excellent. Potato boats were actually potato skins and not wedges -excellent surprise but could have used salt and pepper. Burger was cooked well but fries could have gone for a few more minutes. I'll be back so we can try some other menu items.

This place could have been something special for Shawnee. We've visited 3 times over the last year. Each time, the servers were overwhelmed, cranky, and snippy. And we couldn't blame them. It's as if the owner/manager doesn't care what happens to the place. It's dirty inside, and the patio? I don't get it. If I was the manager, I would be out there, anticipating nice weather, cleaning it up and making it as inviting as possible. Today, one of the most beautiful days in months, and that patio was trash. I think it's a prime venue for Bar Rescue. So disappointing, and I hope someone else with a bit more work ethic takes over this place. We need better in East Shawnee

I'm glad that The Social is doing as well as it's doing! That little section right there off of Pflumm has seen a lot of things come and go, so to hear a lot of talk surrounding it is a pleasant surprise. In regard to the space itself, it's nothing to write home about. Your classic bar and grill. I'm sure it would be a blast to visit for Chief's game. When we visited, it was to see their Who's Holiday Party popup bar. While cute inside, it wasn't our favorite experience. Not only did we have to pay $5 each to make the reservation, but it wasn't even full...so I'm wondering if we would have had to pay if we just showed up. Something else that was strange was that they were not serving any drinks other than the specialized ones. If you wanted a different drink, you had to go into the entire other room and order from their bar. I don't understand why they couldn't have just rung my dad up for a beer on his birthday and then brought it over to him from the entire other bar. The TV's weren't working for a part of the time that we were there but when they got them back up in running, they played all three different Grinch movies which was an adorable move. The decorations were well done and the space did feel open and not cramped. We tried some of their bites and the cheese balls were fine. A little much. The deviled eggs were good as well but neither of these options were great for a group. We probably should have gotten a dip or something like that! In any case, I don't know that the pop up bar was the move for this location, but I do look forward to checking them out for your every-day fun bar experience!

Great food. Very inexpensive drinks (and food, for the quality). Employees are friendly and it's a great place to catch your favorite sports teams with all the tvs they have! Would definitely visit again.

I liked the reasonable prices, the spacious seating area with plenty of TVs, the event nights (including 80's party night and music bingo night), the daily food and drink specials (see FB), and the games including two golden tees, one pool table, two electronic dart boards, and two Dragon's Ascent. My grilled chicken salad ($8.49) was served in twelve minutes. It was served in a generous 8" x 8" x 2" bowl (with dressing on the side) and tasted great, with plenty of tasty chicken on mixed greens with fresh veggies, croutons and shredded cheese. I found the service to be only accommodative, so overall, I'm thinking 3.5 stars and rounding up for the reasonable prices, specials, games and event nights.

We had a good, quick evening meal. Our server was quick to stop by and greet us to let us know she'd be back soon. I like having a moment to get settled in at the table. She came back and took our drink orders and was back in a short time to take our food orders. Mom went with the Cuban sandwich and cole slaw. I had the Patty Melt with curly fries. There were a few tables that mostly already had their food, so it didn't take long for ours to arrive. Mom's Cuban was not really a Cuban sandwich. It might have had a few ingredients that you'd see on a Cuban, but it was not a Cuban. It was certainly edible, but needs a new name to avoid confusing expectations and reality. I had a small taste of the red pepper aoli on the sandwich and I liked it; she wasn't a big fan of the sauce. She liked the cole slaw, but it did have a different "flair" to it that I can't exactly pin point. I'm not a fan of celery seeds, so my tiny taste of it won't count. My curly fries were typical out-of-the-freezer fries. I'm not surprised, but they seemed to be the bottom of the bag with mostly tiny pieces. They had been overcooked a tad, which I appreciate them not being soggy, but they were just a tiny bit overly crunchy (likely because of them being tiny pieces), so they were a bit dry and could have used salt. Our table didn't have salt, I'm sure I could have requested salt since I did see some at another table. I made do with the ketchup. My sandwich was good. My preference would have been for the bread to have been toasted/grilled. It maybe had been grilled a bit, but not in a crispy way I'm used to for a patty melt. The burger was tasty and the grilled onions and mushrooms were really good. The dining room has high top tables at the entrance, then low top tables and booths if you go down a few steps to another area. They do have a door that is at street level to the lower dining area for guests who have difficulty with stairs. We don't end up in Shawnee for meals very often these days, but we appreciated the good service. The food was not bad; there are things we'd order differently, but it certainly was edible and not of poor quality.

Came by for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the delicious food. Nashville chicken sandwich is large with creamy coleslaw but the fries weren't very crispy. On the other hand, we did get onion rings and those were fresh and crispy. The sirloin came out a bit overcooked but it was well seasoned. We liked that the side salad was mixed greens instead of just lettuce. The bartender was the server so she was running around doing both but she checked in on us and kept our drinks full. The bar seem to have a great atmosphere for hanging out at night.

To the point...draft beer was warm and it's served in a cold glass. Come on! Lower your refrigerator temperature. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. My mistake of ordering. Though, I'm tired of places saying it's Nashville when all this place had was a cumin/chili powder sauce on it. The bun was burnt and yet they still served it. The only good was the service. I do not recommend this place.
