After the movie, this is where my friends wanted to go for dinner. I have to say the ambience is nice with all the bright color and paintings on the wall. However, the tables are very, very cramped in. We had a great server. I wished I got her name. Such a pleasant smile and interestingly enough so many people kept coming to the table to check on us. They do care about customer service. The salsa was spicy, but I liked it. The chicken quesadilla was actually excellent and they use grilled white meat chicken. So overall, it was well worth the price.

My family and I went tonight for dinner. Upon entering we were greeted and promptly seated. Once seated our drink order was taken and quickly brought along with complimentary chips and salsa which was delicious and our orders were taken. It didn't take long for our food to come out. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The restaurant was colorful and clean and service was wonderful. I would definitely return and recommend La Nop!

The steak was delicious but didn't serve rice. The margarita was good (you can't really mess that up)

I walked in and was greeted immediately. They sat me down and had chips and salsa in a blink of an eye. I asked for queso cheese and before I could turn around it seemed like it was at the table. This is the only knock I have is that it was too runny, but the taste was outstanding. My waitress was named Erica and so on her game and very personable. I was asked many times if I was OK and feel like I was taking care of well as I was by myself at the time when I died. I ordered the quesadilla Reno with chicken, but you do have the option of beef. Once again my food came out. It was good temperature and of a wonderful portion. The taste of the chicken was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. It's a lot of food and for the price you can't beat it. It's been many years since I've been here as I moved away from the area, but some things never change. This place is a staple and there's a reason it has stayed in business so long. Do yourself a favor and come give it a shot.

This review is for the La Nopalera in Fleming Island. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday around noon. There was no wait to get a table. There were a few customers here, approximately 1/4 of the tables were filled. Pros: Meals were tasty. I ordered the fajita nachos and my husband had the fried chimichangas. Service was pleasant, efficient, and the check was paid via table side checkout. Drinks were served in extra large glasses and refills were not needed. Cons: The floors are really slippery. Be careful if you are wearing non-grippy shoes or if it's raining at all. The lighting is extremely dim. Had to use the light on the phone to read the menu. The salsa is bland and tasted like tomato puree. I added a ton of hot sauce to mine and all that did was make it taste like tomato puree with vinegar in it. Overall impression: Not my go to for Mexican food, but more positives than negatives.

I just had a great lunch at La Nop. Nestor was my server at the bar. Great service. Also amazing lunch specials 10/10 would recommend.

My wife and I had dinner their yesterday and it was really bad! I ordered a chili relleno, chicken burrito and beef chalupa. Only the burrito was edible but the red sauce on top of the burrito tasted more like a marinara sauce, really strange for a Mexican restaurant. The chalupa and chili relleno came out luke warm and the beef in them was runny almost like soup and had no flavor. Manager was gone so I couldn't speak to him so I had to leave my comments with the hostess Jennifer was great and amazing. My wife had sizzling chicken fajitas that lacked any kind of spices. If either of us were given a blind taste test with this food, we would never guess that we were in a Mexican restaurant, no flavor or spices were used.

I've steered away from La Nop for a while because their food always under-impressed. My team at work was ordering and I saw that the menu had been updated and included Birria Tacos so I decided to give it a go. When it comes to Birria, they clearly did not understand the assignment. The meat was definitely not seasoned or cooked in consommé. It was just slow cooked beef with no seasoning. The shells were not fried in the grease from the consommé and were just plain corn shells. That was all there was, just unseasoned meat and plain corn shells. No cheese or consommé to dip the tacos in. They did provide some cilantro and onion but that did very little to make any impact on the lack of flavor. The owners of La Nop should be ashamed of the food their kitchen is putting out and definitely should not have items misrepresented on the menu. I finished one of the three tacos before giving up. My dogs will get a nice treat when I get home tonight.

We normally love coming here and bring family when they visit. Worst experience here today though. There were 4 tables when we arrived and 1 was leaving when we were sat. It took 15 minutes before someone checked in to see if we were ready to order. Then another 30+ minutes before we got food. Food was okay. My husband had to leave because our son couldn't keep waiting. When I told the waitress we needed boxes and our checks she said they were short staffed with 1 person in the kitchen. Had we of known we wouldn't have tried to have lunch here.

2 times in a row I've been given the wrong order. The food is ok. Service is fast but orders are wrong. Mindfulness is key and I just don't think they have that here
