I haven't been to a laundromat in several years, especially this one. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it had been renovated with new equipment and very clean. The new owners did a great job with their upgrades. They also have drop off service where they will do your laundry, wash, dry and fold. I'm sure it's much more affordable than a typical laundry. I have a large commercial size washer and dryer at home but my comforter was too big to get a good wash. It was $18.00 for the jumbo washing machine but the dryers are free. I haven't been to a laundromat in several years so the increase in price was a surprise but I guess it's just in line with everything else. The attendant William was great, he was so helpful getting me started, I had no clue how to work the machines or how much soap to use. They sell beverages and I think snacks, soap and softener as well. They have several laundry carts with a place for hanging things which makes it nice. There is ample seating, a nice area outside with tables and chairs and I think an area for the kiddies. The only critique is the parking, there are two entrances from the road but all of the area behind the parking spaces is a sidewalk so you have to drive partly on the sidewalk to access the parking spot... you are right on a busy street so it's not easy but I made it work. I'm not sure if the owners can fix it because of sidewalk requirements but it would sure be nice to park easier. Generally speaking I would say this is one of the best in Carson City.

Clean, safe, and quiet which is exactly what I like when I'm doing my laundry. I brought my laptop and took advantage of the free WiFi and got some work done while I waited.

First time here. Needed a few bath mats laundered. I used their drop-off service. Super friendly staff and a very clean and welcoming environment.

Clean facility, equipment mostly all new and all in excellent condition. Change machines work. Free dryers- what a deal! The wash came out great and I used a 4.00 washer which took twice as much as my apartment washer and got a free dry. Restrooms clean and pleasant. There is an attendant available for questions who is very helpful. Very nice facility. There are a couple of tables you can sit at and get some work done. Also, there is a small play area for children.

Woah! Talk about a remodel. This place has everything that you could need in a community space and it is safe, clean, and budget friendly. The Laundry Lounge has an amazing staff and helped when I needed it. It sounds like they are planning community events- like a farmers market. Can't wait to see what they have in store. I really appreciate the reinvestment into such an awesome community!

Under new ownership and management absolutely my favorite optimum laundry facilities with top shelf equipment both washing and drying options with free dryers throughout New owners removed pathetic low technology gambling equipment and worthless alcohol bar while installing new bright LED lighting with new welcoming painting trim and office with new central air conditioning very comfortable ultra clean facility environment

This may be the cleanest, most modern laundromat I have visited. Many large machines (some of which will hold 8 loads of laundry). Drying is free with wash.

I am sorry to learn this business has closed. I have been here about three times in the past few years to do laundry and planned to go again this week. Pros: 1. Drying is free and laundry prices for the washers are reasonable. 2. You don't need to buy a card and worry about a balance being left on it. Coins are fine. 3. They have a counter area where you can buy some snack or drinks and play video poker (this is Nevada afterall, and video poker machines are everywhere, even in supermarkets and gas stations). 4. They have men's and women's restrooms. 5. Plenty of seating and even a few tables for customers to wait for their laundry. 6. The employees are attentive and responsive. 7. People hog the washers (meaning they have one load for the wash, but then split it out into four or more dryers), which I guess is common at all laundromats, but especially at this one, since drying is free. 8. They have three sizes of higher-capacity washers. Cons: 1. Parking is mess. It's is hard to fit in the front as there is only a very small lane between the parked cars and the sidewalk. You can park in their lot to the side, but then it is a little farther to go with a cart full of laundry. 2. The place is not that clean. I watched one time as a little girl spilled her juice, and then she and her siblings sat in the mess and played. And they took off their shoes and left them in the aisles, which was a tripping hazard. 3. Lots of people do laundry and bring their kids here, who run around unsupervised while making noise. 4.They sometimes can be a little short on having enough push carts. 5. Moving the push carts to and from the building can be a little trick, since there is a bump to go over. 6. The place is kind of dumpy. You can see inside the garage of their house from inside the store since they leave that door open. There is also an unused children's play area outside and fenced in since the place used to be a child care center I guess. But I suppose you can't expect high class in any laundromat, especially if they want to keep prices reasonable. 7. Putting $8.50 worth of quarters, one at a time, into a high-capacity washer takes forever! 8. The parking lot is not well lit, and wheeling your push cart to your car feels kind of creepy at night.
