Oh my Gosh, didn't realize that I hadn't even written a review for this airline. This review is for 4.5 stars. Excellent Service. The flight attendants and the entire staff is top-notch. We used this Airline all eleven times. Located at Terminal 3 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Hubby and I have been to the islands of Hawaii, Oahu- ten times and Maui- for our honeymoon- once, a total of eleven times. Our son was really small, but he's been to Oahu twice. We went with my mother-in-law and her husband to Oahu once. And we also went with a couple of friends to Oahu once too. The first time, in 2004, we didn't know anything about it, we didn't use the Red Eye, so we missed on almost the entire first day because we arrived at 2 or 3 pm-ish. From the 2nd trip on, we always flew on the Red Eye. Always had a good meal, but it was late. Started using sleep aids so we missed out on those, but I think that rest was more important. Every flight attendant extended the Aloha Spirit to every visitor, they are all smiling, are all very nice, as well as very helpful. I think that one year we got a logo freebie bag, which we still use and have to this day. To date, I believe that these flight attendants have the best demeanor. The luggage policy was one bag checked for free, weight limit of 55 pounds, unless that has changed. But please do check the website. The website is user-friendly. You can book your trip using their site. You can also check your miles. On the Rewards Program, recently, the airline eliminated losing your miles. I currently have enough to book a one way flight for free. This would be the second time, that I earned this as a Rewards member. Hubby became a member after I did, but he lost his miles. Not so good.

Well hawn airlines would always be my airline to travel. But because the federal shutdown the trip coming home was a tried one. Waiting to take off was the pits. We were waiting to leave but sat on the tarmac for nearly 2 hours. Then moving alittle then waited. The pilot announced that due to the thunderstorm up ahead is slowing us down for take off. Come on now just say we have to wait for air traffic controllers because short hand it. We all know but don't make excuses. But finally leaving and arriving in Honolulu was 1230am when we was supposed be arriving at 1030am. Oh well what can we say. Hopefully they settle and get back to normal.

It seemed very strange that everyone in front of me in line Could change their seat except when I got to front she abruptly said no you can't change! She didn't give any other options like paying extra and seemed rude. Very surprised because it is my first time flying Hawaiian. I also paid over 700 for rt from Vegas to Maui. Doesn't seem like a cheap flight. Guess I'll stick with southwest airlines next time!

Recently flew to Hawaii to visit a friend- this is my 4th time flying with Hawaiian Airlines... My departure and returning flight were both on time with no delays. The staff at the terminal counter, along with staff on the plane, were all quick and worked effectively together. Everyone I encountered was very friendly, helpful and willing. Everybody had a smile on their face and upbeat attitude. The plane/flight itself was super smooth. No complaints at all. The plane was clean, spacious seating, good snack/drink options and they provide a complimentary light lunch option. All in all- great experience and I will be using this airline again when returning to Hawaii!

Is it a prerequisite to be unprofessional to work for this company? Started from check in, first and only ones in queue. No other customers being helped, only agents talking amongst each other. Finally after they were done laughing, they noticed we were waiting and waved us forward. During check in no apology or even a greeting, they just continued with their story of some show they watched. At the terminal there were announcements due to weather our flight was delayed. Nobody to blame, but overhearing agents in the back cheering hoping it gets delayed further is totally unacceptable. Fast forward after flight delayed twice, then cancelled. Reclaimed our baggage, and proceeded to return to check in. Walked to the first agent at the counter, but was immediately told they weren't open. I politely explained our flight was cancelled and rebooked the following flight. Was again told they weren't open, but with attitude. So I replied ok thanks in the agent's same tone and turned around. Only after walking away agent spoke in a professional manner. One of the worst feelings. Approached someone with respect, but responds to you with attitude. If I was to respond how I truly wanted, I would have gotten escorted out the airport.

Welcome to Las Vegas... Traveling through Vacations Hawaii is not through Hawaiian Airlines as in the past was a charter flight is a huge major difference for sure as I do love flying Hawaiian vessel though because they're still in control with the seating getting the choices was a huge negative for me. Checking in was in a separate area and not the through the traditional Hawaiian Airlines area so if you don't know finding the area which I saw many was confused and with some issues Hawaiian had at another gate the assigned agent wasn't able to make it to check us in as the alternate came as I told her how grateful we were did it with the best possible tone though felt that it was forced. Finding out our gate was the horror as well as it's FAR not far but FAAAAAR! The walk was quite insane and felt like I got the grand tour of the airport only to see that we were at the old section that I remember being at decades and decades ago where the Wiki Wiki shuttle would pick us up to take us to the baggage claim which shows actually how far this area was is quite horrific and with that they took my mom's wheelchair cause they didn't have enough was quite upsetting as she waited for me while I check us in, the Vacations Hawaii staff was wonderful but Hawaiian was just a hot mess.

First time flying with Hawaiian in nearly 11 years was very interesting, to say the least. Most of it wasn't the airlines fault. (+) Flew from HNL to LAS in a direct flight. Flight was on time, seats were moderately comfortable, and there was entertainment in the headrests. I love when you have entertainment in the headrests! It can really make those 5-6 hours go a bit faster! (+) Warm snack in the middle of the flight wasn't bad at all! It was like a cheesed up hot pocket or something. It was pretty good though! (-) If you want to HEAR any of that entertainment in the headrest you will need to purchase a headset. If you bring a pair it will NOT fit in the socket. Kinda cheap and dirty. (-) Not the airlines fault but, holy crap, what an interesting flight! For starters, someone had a serious medical episode on the plane and they were calling for anyone with a medical background. It seems like the person pulled through okay (Thank goodness). In the general vicinity of our seats there were no less than 4 (count then slowly 1, 2, 3, 4) screaming and chatty babies. They were pretty relentless too. One of them kept calling me "dada" while Mom sheepishly pulled him back ("Ummm, come here honey"). After that someone got busted smoking in the lavatory! Holy crap people, I just want to go home! I would still fly with them again if given the opportunity. 3 stars.

The best flying experience I had round trip. Everything was great from the on time flight to the smooth ride to the hot sandwiches, sweet snack and rounds of water for our 6 hour flight. Some family flew southwest and United didn't even get a small meal for the 6 hour flight. Will definitely travel with them again.
